This is my favorite chapter in the story, and again, it has lyrics in it, so it's a little longer than other chapters, sorry about that. Anyway, read, review, and enjoy. (Not like I say that every chapter though...:))
I don't own MR
Ella's POV
When I woke up in the morning I went down to the kitchen to get something to eat, but as I was almost around the corner, I saw Iggy. I figured that he was still mad, so I ran into the living room, hoping he wouldn't notice. Unfortunately, I was the only one in the living room so I plopped on the couch and turned on the T.V.
"Hey," Iggy said sitting down on the couch with me, wrapping his arm around my shoulder. I guess he wasn't mad anymore.
"Hi," I said and scooted closer to him.
"So I was really being stupid yesterday, and I wanted to make it up to you," he said pulling me onto his lap and putting his arms around me, and I was really glad we weren't in the kitchen.
"And what did you have in mind," I murmured, lacing my fingers though his.
"Well, I was thinking, we could go out on a real date tonight," he whispered in my ear. I turned around to look at him and he looked like he did want to go. Before he could say anything more, I kissed him. He seemed surprised at first, but then kissed me back, on hand around my waist and the other in my hair.
"I'd love to go on a real date with you," I whispered and smiled. I took his and and put it on my face.
"You're smiling. That's good," he said smiling back at me.
"Where are we going tonight," I asked him curiously as I leaned against his chest.
"Nope, not telling. It's a surprise," he told me and took me off his lap and got up. "Come on, I'm making some breakfast and you still need to eat," he said as I got up and took his hand in mine, then we walked into the kitchen.
"Can you at least tell me if I need to where casual or formal clothes," I asked as I sat at the counter, trying to figure it out from his answer.
"Casual, but make sure it's comfortable to move in," he told me, getting out some eggs, sausage, and bread. "I don't feel like making anything from scratch, so can we make microwaveable pancakes," he asked, trying to change the subject I think, but I'm not sure.
"Sure, I'll get those," I said getting up, but he went over to me and put me back in my chair.
"No, I got it. I want to make it by myself today. I don't think only the date makes up for it, so I'm making you breakfast. Please sit down," he said and kissed my forehead.
"Okay," I said, and ten minutes later, we were having a breakfast of eggs, sausage, pancakes and toast.
"Thanks, it's really good," I said almost finished and getting full.
"Anything for you," he whispered. I scooted my chair closer to him and he wrapped his arm around me.
"So, when do we leave," I asked him, trying to get some information out of him.
"Around 5:00 P.M. I think, or is that too soon," he asked me, looking at me with his unseeing eyes.
"It's never too soon," I murmured as leaned on him and he laughed.
"Okay, 5 it is," he said.
~5:00 P.M.~
"Ready," Iggy asked as I meet him at the front door.
"Yep, lets go," I said and he put his arm around me as we left the house.
"So can you tell me where we're going now, please," I asked him after we had been walking for a few minutes, but he shook his head.
"Not yet, but you did tell me that you like to do this, that's my only hint," he said as he turned the corner and we headed into town.
"Okay, I'm gonna think about that now," I told him and he laughed. What did I tell him that I like to do, then it hit me, dance and sing. A slow smile spread across my face. "I think I know where we're going," I said.
"Oh really, where are we going then," he asked as we rounded the last corner if we were going to the place I thought we were going to. I was right, that karaoke place like a mile from my house
"I knew it," I said and he laughed as we walked in. We got a table and we sat down.
"I haven't been here in a long time, I'm glad you brought me here," I said as I looked at the menu for both of us. I decided on getting one plain, cheese burger, and getting Iggy three of the biggest ones on the menu, and they came with fries, so I hope that filled him up. Of course we had to eat first, I though and mentally laughed.
"Really, well, then I'm glad I took you," he said, interrupting my thoughts, "Do you know what you want, sorry I can't read it," he said and I held his hand.
"We're going to get one plain cheese burger for me, and three of the biggest burgers there are for you, and they come with fries, so I hope that's enough," I said laughing at the last part.
"I'll only get two, so we can go dance sooner," he said and I smiled.
"Thanks," I said and got up to order. I came back a few minutes later and sat down.
"So when we're done, we can go dance," I asked him curiously.
"Ya, anything you wanna do we can do, but I really think we should eat first," he said and then our food came.
"Wow, that was quick," I said when the waiter left. I ate in a rush trying to get done. Somehow though, he was done before me.
"Almost done," he asked teasingly.
"Yes, I'm done," I said and then stood up. "Lets go dance now," I said and pulled him on the dance floor. I noticed that they were letting different people sing up on stage and after a few songs, I asked Iggy, "So this is a Karaoke place, right?"
"Ya," he said and then I smiled.
"I'm gonna go sing one then," I said and ran off.
"Can I do a song," I asked the DJ, who nodded.
"Sure, what song," He asked.
"Um..." I wracked my brains trying to think of a good song and then I got it. "Don't Stop the Music by Rihanna," I said and took the mic he handed to me. I hurried on stage and saw that Iggy was waiting at the end of the stage. Suddenly the music started and Then I started singing.
"Please don't stop the music," I sang and the crowd went wild. I sang that three more time, swaying my hips walking around on the stage.
"It's getting late
I'm making my way over to my favorite place
I gotta get my body moving shake the stress away."
I sang then shook down to the ground and popped up, with major cheers from the crowd.
"I wasn't looking for nobody when you looked my way,
Possible candidate, yeah"
I said as I walked over and took Iggy's hand and pulled him on stage with me.
"Who knew that you'd be up in here looking like you do,
Makin' staying over here impossible,
Baby I'ma say your aura is incredible
If you don't have to go, don't."
I sang as I danced with him then twirled away from him and wagged my finger at him. He had a huge smile on his face.
"Do you know what just started?
I just came here to party
But now were rockin on the dance floor, actin' naughty"
I started walking back to him and he walked towards me.
"Your hands around my waist,
Just let the music play,
We're hand in hand chest to chest
and now we're face to face."
Then he put his hands on my waist, then switched so his hands clasped mine. He pulled me closer and then kissed my forehead, and if possible the crowd got even louder.
"I wanna take you away,
lets escape into the music, DJ let it play
I just can't refuse it,
like the way you do this
Keep on rockin' too it
Please don't stop the
Please don't stop the
Please don't stop the music."
Now we were dancing and twirling around the stage and I kept singing. Someone threw Iggy a mic and now it was a duet.
"I wanna take you away,
Lets escape into the music, DJ let it play
I just can't refuse it,
like the way you do this
Keep on rockin' too it
Please don't stop the
Please don't stop the
Please don't stop the music."
On this verse we took turns singing.
Iggy: "Baby are you ready cause it's gettin close."
Ella: "Don't you feel the passion ready to explode?"
Iggy: "What goes on between us no-one has to know
Ella: "This is a private show-oh."
Then we started singing together.
"Do you know what just started?
I just came here to party
But now were rockin on the dance floor, actin' naughty
Your hands around my waist,
Just let the music play,
We're hand in hand chest to chest
and now we're face to face."
Then we did the same actions as before, minus the kiss. We sang the refrain together, twirling and dancing close to each other, never once missing a word.
"I wanna take you away,
Lets escape into the music, DJ let it play
I just can't refuse it,
like the way you do this
Keep on rockin' too it
Please don't stop the
Please don't stop the
Please don't stop the music.
I wanna take you away,
Lets escape into the music, DJ let it play
I just can't refuse it,
like the way you do this
Keep on rockin' too it
Please don't stop the
Please don't stop the
Please don't stop the music."
Only I said the weird words, and Iggy and I kept dancing, spinning and twirling around. Then we sang together.
"Please don't stop the music,...
Please don't stop the music...
I wanna take you away,
Lets escape into the music, DJ let it play
I just can't refuse it,
like the way you do this
Keep on rockin' too it
Please don't stop the
Please don't stop the
Please don't stop the music.
I wanna take you away,
Lets escape into the music, DJ let it play
I just can't refuse it,
like the way you do this
Keep on rockin' too it
Please don't stop the
Please don't stop the
Please don't stop the music."
I said more of the random words and Iggy sang,
"Please don't stop the music,...
Please don't stop the music,..."
The last one we said together,
"Please don't stop the music."
We ended the song standing chest to chest (haha like the song) and then he leaned down and kissed me on the lips slowly but full of passion. The crowd was going absolutely nuts when we kissed.
"I think we have just heard the best song of the niiiiight," the DJ said over the speakers as we handed him the mics back and the crowd cheered again.
"What's your name, you guys are great," the DJ asked us.
"Ella and Iggy." I answered.
"Give it up for Iggy and Ella," the DJ yelled and the crowd went wild again.
We were almost to the door when I said, "This has been the best night ever. Thanks for bringing me," I said wrapping my arms around him and he bent down and kissed me again.
"Next time, we're taking Max and Fang," he said grinning and we left for home.
