Author's Note: Sorry for the long wait. That's all I can say, really. In between this chapter and the last, I've thought a lot about Fanfiction and my stories and upcoming works I'd like to write. I don't want to write a huge author's note, but I do want to say that TOM is most likely ending where I left off at for now for certain reasons. This is also the last chapter of Something Something, and while it might not end how I explained it would, I hope you still enjoy the ending. An author's note will be at the end explaining other stuff. Hope you enjoy!

After Hermione received the gift from Harry, she excitedly went of to finish her essay for Transfiguration class. Meanwhile, Harry and Ron were lounging in front of the fireplace.

Harry knew he had much to tell Ron after everything and now was the best time to do so.

"I never really thanked you for your help. So...thanks."

Ron stared at Harry and let out a snicker after a while. "I hardly helped. It was all you, mate. You wanted the girl and you went for it. I just stood back and watched." Harry could tell Ron was being modest. He most likely though he hadn't heard him back at the Great Hall.

"Yeah, well your words of encouragement weren't a total loss. Just know if the situation were the other way around, I'd help you to the best of my abilities."

Ron laughed and responded, "You can start by endlessly explaining to Lavender about all the times I've fought tooth and nail all these years."

"And here I am thinking you'd already done that." Both friends laughed amiably as Hermione entered the Common Room. "How'd your essay turn out?" Harry asked as she sat at the edge of the coffee table.

"Excellent!" she gushed. "I'm 99.9% sure I got my point across, though I think the overall structure of my essay wasn't as good as my others. Anyway, Lavender and Parvati are waiting for me in the dorm." After a brush of Harry's hair, she made her way up the stairs to the 6th year girl's dorm.

"Lavender and Parvati? What for?" Ron asked.

"I just found out about the upcoming ball." She winked at Harry and headed into the room.

Ron looked back at Harry, horror etched on his face. "Bloody hell." The raven-haired wizard held a calm expression. He had a date so there were no worries and hopefully it wouldn't be as terrible as the previous dance.

Author's Note: Yes, a really short chapter. But what's in store for my next project/s will hopefully be worth the wait. I don't have a date to when I will or hope to post the first chapter of my next story, but I will work hard to make the wait much shorter than this long one. My profile will be updated once you have read this chapter.

Author's Note 2: Another ball?! I may or may not write a companion fic about the ball and who/how Ron asks for his date. Feel free to review if you liked the ending or if you were expecting more. Also, comment if you wouldn't mind a companion fic.
