TORI'S POV
I can't believe Trina right now. All I'm asking, is for her to give me a job and she starts lecturing me on the dangers of having a job. Why would having a job be dangerous? I don't get it at all.
"Trina? Just tell me when I'm to start work." I tiredly said. As she stopped spinning in her chair and looked at me.
"Who said you got the job?" she asked, sitting forward. "If I remember correctly, you didn't pass the interview."
"What interview? You didn't even interview me and now you're telling me that I didn't pass an unknown interview?" I asked, trying to remember if truly she interviewed me and she didn't so what interview is she talking about?
"Yes I did. I asked you what you knew about this company and you kept quiet. So you failed, deal with it."
"What are you even talking about?" I asked, I was confused now. I thought I told her about what I knew about the company? " And considering the fact that you don't own this company, I asked the legal owner who happens to also be my grandfather and he said it was cool." I told her, trying to rub it in her face. I wonder what's wrong with her today, maybe she woke up at the wrong side of the bed today.
"Yeah Yeah whatever, you can start work whenever you want to." she mumbled, with disinterest written all over her face.
"Sweet, i'll start tomorrow morning." I happily replied, standing up from the chair "See you later on Trina." I waved off, walking out of her office.
Now I have a job, it's one down and two to go. And those two include getting a house and starting a family.
.
.
.
I opened the door, walking inside the house, only to find my two favorite persons squealing my name. They can be loud at times, but I love that they get this happy whenever they see me.
"Hey guys, how are you doing?" I asked, raising my hands to high 'five their smaller ones.
"Fine." They both replied at the same time.
"And how did you get here?" I asked playfully, even though I knew how they got here.
"Mom brought us." Jason replied, as they both pulled me to the living room where mom and Jade where talking. I wonder what they're talking about.
" Hey mom." I greeted, kissing her cheek.
"Hey dear."
" Jade, I had no idea you'd be here, in my house? " I asked awkwardly, before sitting down with the kids beside me.
"I just came to drop the kids here. They wanted to see their grandma and I thought why not, since we're having a get together, they can stay with her throughout the night." she replied smiling at me. When did they start calling her grandma?
" There's no problem leaving them here with me. We would have a great time. Right kids?" Mom cut in, looking at her grandchildren.
" Yes!" They both replied, eagerly clapping their hands "Can we have chocolate cake today?" Jordan asked, walking towards my mom. I don't blame them for wanting more, anyone who tastes her chocolate cake will definitely want more.
"Yes, as many as you want." she replied, both if their smile grew wider.
"I guess everything is fixed then." Jade said smiling. I wish she could just keep on smiling for today.
"Did Trina give you the job?" my mom asked, standing up and walking to the kitchen.
" Yes, she did. She didn't want to at first, but I still got it."
"You should know Trina by now."
"Yes I do-"
"Tori?" Jason asked, cutting me mid sentence.
" Yes?" I answered, wondering what he wanted to tell me.
"Can I ask you a question?"
"Yes, you can ask me anything."
"Grandma thought us about family yesterday." he replied, drawing the attention of Jade and making her look up from the magazine she was reading. Omg, I hope my mom didn't tell them about what I think she told them.
"Really... What did she say?" I asked, now getting interested in the conversation."
"She said only the most luckiest kids in the world have two mothers." Jordan cut In, joining the conversation as she walked towards me. "is it true?"
"Oh, yes it is true." I quickly said, trying not to look confused. "So, is that your question?"
"No."
"Alright then what is your next question?"
"Grandma also said that you're keeping a secret this big from us." she said, opening her arms wide to demonstrate how big the secrete is "is it true?" Jason completed. Okay, now I'm in big trouble. I shifted my gaze from them, to Jade who was sitting across from me, silently pleading with her to help me out.
"Don't you guys think you're asking Tori too much questions." she said, making me heave a sigh of relief.
" No, we just wanted to know about the secret." Jordan said, tilting her head to the side so that she can see Jade and then turned to stare at me once more. "Please?" the kids said in unison, with their lips protruding outwards and Aww they looked so cute.
"That's why it's a secret. If she tells you, it won't be a secret anymore." Jade said again, this time coming to sit by me.
But this secret is meant to be said out loud and since they're asking, I thinking it's the perfect time to break the news of me being a mother to them. But at the same time, I'm also scared what if they reject me, runaway, or start asking about Beck being their father? I couldn't possibly take the pain. But they also need the know.
"Okay, I'll tell you my big secret-"
"Tori, you don't have to, if you're not ready yet." Jade cut in, calmly placing her hand on my knees.
"I've to at least, let me try." I replied, turning my head to face the kids in front of me. And they where both staring at me with anticipation of what is to come next. Now how do I put this? What should I say at first? 'hey kids, I'm your mother, well second mother?' No, I don't think it's the right approach. How about 'I'm your daddy?' no it's not going to work either. Because I look like a woman and then they would ask more questions that I don't want to be telling them until they're teenagers. Then what do I say? I'm running out of time and patience here.
" Okay, I uh.."
"... You know how grandma said special and lucky kids have two mothers?" Jade asked, as they nodded their heads. "Well, you guys are also special kids because you her two mums."
"Really?" They asked excitingly.
"Yes, because Tori here, is also your mum." Jade completed, saving me all the trouble of finding the right words to say. Now it's time to see what their reaction would be...
"Yay!" they both screamed in delight, hugging me. Wait, they're hugging me! I was so afraid of what their reactions would be, but they're just four, so this was expected. My cheek getting wet brought me out from my state of shock. I returned the hug, holding them as tight as I could, like it was the last day I would ever get to hold them this way. And this time my crying wasn't because I was a
Sad, rather if was tears of joy.
"Can we call you mom now?" Jason asked, pulling away so he could look at me.
"Yes, but continue calling your mom here 'mom' and then you can call me mama. Is that cool?"
"Yes mama." They replied one after the other, making me smile and cry at the same time can that even happen? It was the first time they called be 'mama' and it was music to my ears. At least I get something I've always wanted since I came back to L.A.
"Great! high five?" I asked raising my hand in the air, as they clapped theirs against mine.
"let's go tell grandma." Jordan Squealed, grabbing her brothers wrist and pulling him with her to the kitchen where my mom was seated, watching everything that happened.
"I never thought it would be so easy." I voiced out my thoughts to Jade who was also smiling beside me.
"Me too, I just hope they never ask about Beck and everything would be fine." she replied
"I hope so too. Thanks for helping me out." I thanked her, holding her hands in mine and not missing the tiny electric shocks passing through our veins. I know she felt it too because her breath hitched at one point.
"It was the least I could. Besides, it's among the many favors I owe you." she replied, making me smile. I was just too happy now to say anything else. I was so lost in her eyes once again, that I didn't know I was leaning in towards her, well until I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket, making the both of us jolt backwards. I removed the phone and saw that Cat sent me a message because we where running late for the get together. Does Cat have to always ruin the moment.
"It's Cat, she's asking where we at." I told Jade, as i stood up from the couch.
"We gotta go mom," I said, walking to the kitchen, where they had already started eating. "I'll see you guys tomorrow and you two be good while we're away." I said, kissing their forehead, with Jade following suit, before we left.
.
.
.
"Finally, you guys are here." Cat huffed, when she opened the door for us to Come in.
"Well hello to you too. We got caught up in traffic." I said, allowing Jade to go in before I did.
"Hey Tori!" Andre said, coming to hug me. I haven't seen you since the day at Beck's. "How are you doing?"
"I'm cool just been busy, you know." I answered, as Cat handed me a soda.
"Well I'm glad you're back we have some serious catching up to do." Andre replied, walking back to where the beanbags where kept. I followed suit, sitting on one of them, while I continued to drink my soda.
"So is it a movie night? And where is Robbie?" I asked Andre, who was sitting next to me.
"Yeah it's a movie night and Robbie said he won't be able to make it. But I don't think Beck is coming."
"Yeah me to." I sighed, "I tried talking to him, but he doesn't reply my messages and has refused to see me."
"Well his gonna get over it soon." Andre said, but I truly don't believe that would ever happen, I mean the guy hates me.
"I hope so." I muttered, drinking more of my soda, "Where's Cat and Jade?" I asked looking around, when I realized that we where the only ones in the room.
"I don't know, something about getting more ice. They said we should pick a movie before they get back." he said, walking to the the stack of CD's by the side of the TV.
"You guys found a movie yet?" Cat asked, walking in with Jade behind her.
"Andre is picking something out. You guys got popcorn?"
"Yes." Cat answered, handing me a bowl filled with it. "Come in!" she shouted, when someone rang the door bell. And to my surprise, the person I never expected came in. Beck? What is he doing here?
"Hey guys." he greeted, walking to where we all sat.
"Hey?!"
"What I you doing here?" Jade asked, standing up from the beanbag.
"Well, I had time to think things over and I realized that I was overacting, about everything, so I wanted to make peace."
"So, you're no longer mad?" I asked also getting up.
"No I'm not." he answered, but there was something wrong with the way he replied. Maybe it's just him being himself.
"Thanks Beck, I'm glad you finally understand." I told him, shifting my gaze from him to Jade to see if she has something to stay, but she just looked confused.
"What are you planning Beck?" she asked, crossing her arms.
"Jade, he just said he forgave us, why would he be-"
"I know you Beck and I know that you don't just let things go." she added, cutting my sentence short.
"Nothing Jade, like I said I'm trying to be a better person." he replied her.
"Jade, maybe you're just overreacting." Andre said.
"Guys we're missing the movie" cat said
"I'm not overreacting," she said moving closer to Beck "I still think you're hiding something." she whispered to him before walking back to sit on her beanbag.
"Movie now!" Cat said, pulling all of us to the sit down. But I couldn't concentrate, because I kept thinking of what Jade said.
.
.
.
I yawned, stretching my body at the same time. I think I slept. I looked at the TV and another movie was on but no one was watching. Everyone was at sleep well except for Jade... And Beck that where missing. I quickly stood up, carefully checking if I was just dreaming, but they truly where not there. I quickly walked to the kitchen to see if they were there, but I couldn't find them.
I was about to go back to the living room to check properly, but the tiny and distinct voices coming out from Cat's bedroom stopped me. I slowly tip toed to the door, to listen to what was happening, but the door opened immediately, and Beck came out angrily looking at me, before he purposely pushed me out of the way. What got him so angry again? I turned my head from where he left back to the room where Jade just dropped on the bed. Raising all the alarms in my head.
"Jade are you alright." I asked walking towards her. I hope that bastard didn't try anything wrong because I'll be killing him when next I lay my eyes on him.
"I'm fine,"
"Did he do anything?"
"No, he wouldn't dare. He just told me he wanted me back and I said it wasn't happening and he got angry and just left when he heard footsteps." she explained, standing up from the bed. Wait footsteps, I was quiet.
"He also said that I would regret the choices I've made on not taking him back." she added, turning to face me.
"Do you think he's planning something?" I asked , walking closer to her.
"I don't know, but I know Beck and I don't think he's going to let things pass that easily. "
"We would be more cautious and careful with him then." I said, shifting the stray hair on her face to the back of her ears. As she closed her eyes when the tip of my fingers brushed her face in the process. The way she looked so peaceful, spurred me further, making me to rub her cheek with the back of my pointer finger.
"We shouldn't be doing this Tori." she said in a small tone, her eyes still closed to show that she was enjoying it to.
"I know Jade, but I can't help myself." I said sincerely, moving closer to her with my newly found confidence.
"But-"
"But nothing Jade." I cut her off, cupping her face in my hands. While she opened her angelic eyes to stare at me. I lost myself in them again, only to realize myself when I felt her lips against mine. It was so soft and welcoming, that I had to draw her face closer to mine, while she fisted the neck of my shirt, pulling me closer to her.
It took seconds for us to get comfortable with the feeling before she pulled her lips away from mine, staring into my eyes.
"This is so wrong and right at the same time." she muttered, before crashing our lips together letting sparks fly. I removed my hands from her face, wrapping them around her back, pulling her closer to me until there was no space left between the both of us, while her lips continued to move expertly against mine, our kiss turning from simple to passionate in no time.
She moved her hands from my shirt, locking it around my neck pulling me closer to her, as I moved mine down to her waist. She pulled back a little when air was needed . I've always dreamt of how this day would be happening. But I never thought it to be this soon. How did all this go from comforting, to making out like teenagers?
I walked her back to the bed, as she laid down in pulling me with her, never breaking the kiss. The front of my jeans began to tighten when the excitement began to get me hard. I gently grinded my Jean covered member against her thigh to relief some of the pressure, but I regretted my decision immediately, because she quickly pulled her lips away from me, using her hands to push me from on top of her.
"I'm sorry, I can't do this." she said, sitting up on the bed. No, I'm the one who should be sorry, I should have never let her feel my erection. I rose up from the bed, shifting until I was sitting on the edge of the bed with my back was faced against her. What was I even thinking?
"No, it's my fault, I should have told you or reminded you about it." I said, turning around to face her.
"I'm so stupid." she mumbled, "I shouldn't have pushed you the way I did, I just got confused."
"No you're not stupid, it's normal for you to feel that way."
"Has it always been there?" she asked, pointing towards my crotch area, making me to duck my head to hide my embarrassment.
"Yes, I-I was born with it." I replied, as she pulled at my shoulder asking me to lay back down on the bed.
"You want to talk about it?" she asked, laying on her side and using her hands to support her head.
"Yes, it's just that I don't feel comfortable talking about it sometimes." I replied, tilting my head to the side to stare at her.
"You can with me."
"Yes I know, the last time I told you about it, you called me a freak."
"I was stupid and young and I wasn't even thinking, I wanted to take those words back so badly after I said it-"
"It's in the past and the past is the past." I assured her pulling her free hand in mine, playing with her fingers.
"While we where in New York, I was thirteen, living my boyish life without a care in the world, everything was going smoothly,-"
"A boy? But you have a woman's voice." she asked looking confused as ever.
"Yes and I was teased about it a lot in school." I answered, still playing with her fingers.
"Go on."
"My parent got worried so they took me to the hospital and the doctor said it was because I haven't hit puberty. We where fine with it, until I began to grow boobs and my whole family got worried, we went to the doctor and they ran tests and found out that I was actually a girl, only that I had penis."
"They didn't know you where a girl until that time?"
"Yes, I has a complete male reproductive system, except from my breast. But they where not sure if I could get a girl pregnant." I chuckled a little. "Well I guess I can since I've got two kids to show for it."
"Haha yeah and I was used to determine the potency of your sperm." Jade laughed with me, leaning down to kiss my lips. "How did people take it when they found out that you where growing boobs?" she asked,
"Oh they didn't. We moved here to L.A to start a new because I didn't want anyone asking me questions." I replied, kissing the knuckles of her finger.
"And I was mean to you the whole time." she sighed, using her free hand to trace my shoulder blades.
"You didn't know... So, we are cool with one another right?"
"Yes, what are you driving at." she quirked her eyebrow.
"Well I know you just came out of a relationship, I was wondering if you want to go out on a date with me?"
"Yes, it took you long enough."
"You knew I would ask?"
"let's just say I had a feeling." she replied, resting her head on my shoulder, allowing me to wrap my arms comfortably around her.
"Goodnight Tori."
"Goodnight Jade."
...
