Pit, being as dense as he was, didn't realize it until Palutena pointed it out.
The captain of her guard was training diligently, even after war. "Have to keep up a good example!" he said. He set down his Somewhat Staff and chose a new weapon from his pile of artillery. He slipped the Palm over his arm and began shooting.
Palutena watched with interest. "Pit," she interrupted after a few minutes of observation, "isn't that a Viridi Palm?"
The angel glanced down. "Huh. So it is!" Pit continued his attacks.
"You do realize that requires total devotion to Viridi to wield, right?"
Pit froze. "I-I-I… did-didn't…" he stammered, pupils like Monoeyes, and the same pinkish hue on his skin.
The goddess smiled lightly. "Do you need a break? Maybe a trip to a certain nature goddess' temple?"
Pit responded by falling face first to the gravel of the practice arena, mumbling to the dirt "OH MY GOSH- HOW DID I NOT- HOW LONG- LADY PALUTENA HOW DO I TELL HER?"
