I answered my phone after hearing it ring for ten minutes. "If this is the press, LEAVE ME ALONE! You're barking up the wrong tree." I jumped when I heard Izzy's voice on the other end.

"Jonathon! DO NOT talk to me like that. We need your assistance ASAP." She sounded serious. For a moment I forgot my sister was even there. "How fast can you pack Clary's clothes and other feminine things? I mean EVERYTHING. She'll be stuck here for a while. Maybe a month." I mentally sighed. Clary didn't own that many clothes but it was still a lot.

"Give me an hour Izzy. Oh, wait! How did you get my number?" Only Jace had it, I was selective with who knew it.

"Clary gave it to me after I caught them making out in Jace's room. Meet me at the park at three with everything. Thanks Jon!"

"Isabelle, what do you mean…?" She had already hung up. I had a lot of work to do.

I hung up the phone and grinned. Alec just shook his head while he finished his conversation with Seb. When he closed his phone he sighed.

_ Izzy

"Seriously? Why would you tell her brother that? Jon is super protective right now." He threw the final paper towel in the trash and looked up. "Now that their mess is cleaned up, I can say this. You are not leaving this house. I'm going to the exchange with Seb. No question about it."

We heard someone coming up the hall and stared at the door way.

"I'm sure the pizza isn't burnt. We didn't make out that long." Jace.

"It was thirty minutes ago! It's burnt! Why'd we get carried away?" Clary.

Alec opened the oven door and fresh, not burnt, pizza steamed on the tray. Jace knew what he was talking about. They came in and stopped.

"Yes, we cleaned your mess. Now sit or I'll let you starve." Alec pulled the pizza out and shut the oven using his foot. "We seriously need to talk though." Clary glanced up and nodded. It was time to get serious.

"So, what's up?" Clary asked sitting down.

I got up and ransacked the cabinets for paper plates. "Alec is meeting Jon in fifty minutes to get your stuff. So I figured you might as well get your own room. I mean you will be trapped here for a while so why not?"

Jace tore a peperoni off the pizza and grinned. "She could always stay in my room."

"NO!" Alec and I yelled.

"We won't even allow that option." Alec growled.

"It was a joke," Jace dead panned. Alec gave him the 'I don't believe you' look. "Okay, maybe not."

"Thought so." I groaned. His humor wasn't funny sometimes.

"Where would my room be?" Clary asked.

Alec grabbed a slice of pizza. "Between Izzy's and my room. We have a spare between them because our cousin lived with us for a while." Jace looked down at the table and grunted something I couldn't hear. "Get over it Jace. At least she's across the hall from you." He perked up and winked in Clarys direction. I couldn't take him seriously, ever.

"Okay then," Clary said with a mouth full of pizza. She seemed content with the whole situation. It was almost like she'd been through worse. "I'll be back." An half eaten slice laid on her plate when she left.

Jace reached over to steal a bite but Alec took the plate out of his reach. "Not happening."

"Can't you realize what's going on? We are trapped and all you are doing is joking around. You are a year older than Clary. Will you please start acting like it?" I snapped from frustration. I loved Jace but he just never took anything seriously.

"You know what, I'm going to the bathroom. Apparently, you guys can't take a joke." He jerked his piece off his plate and stormed out of the kitchen. Alec shook his head.

"I'll just say it; there was no need to yell at him Izzy. Clary is the only thing keeping him sane right now." He pulled out the tinfoil and covered the left over pizza. "I'm going to my room. You should probably go talk to him." Alec exited the kitchen without saying another word.

_Jace

I stormed into my room and found Clary on my bed. She sat peacefully on the covers drawing something in a sketch book I'd never seen. When I sat down beside her she didn't even notice. Her nose twitched when she messed up an apple on the tree she was sketching, which was the most adorable thing I had ever seen. Clary unfocused for a moment and jumped, dropping the pad on the bed.

"How long have you been there?" Her eyes were wide. She tried to shove the pad under the pillows but I stopped her.

"What's wrong? I just got on the bed."

She sighed and held the sketch book in front of me. "This is my journal. Some people have diaries they write in but I don't. I put every emotion and problem I have in here through art. Never look at this without my permission." From nowhere she pulled a messenger bag on the bed and stuffed it inside. "So, how did they rest of the meeting go?" I couldn't focus on what she said, all I could see was that bag and the mysteries it hid. "Jace, did Izzy yell at you or something?" I tentatively reached out and looped my hand on to the bags cloth handle. Then it hit me, she's right there. She's asking if I'm okay and I am doing what she doesn't want me to. Damn it. The bag fell to the floor and I wrapped an arm around her shoulders.

"Sorry, I'm just still out of it. Izzy really did me in." Clary snuggled in closer and looked at me with the puppy dog eyes she knew I loved. "Yeah, I was yelled at. She's just frustrated; we all are frustrated. You just seem calmer than all of us for some reason."

We enjoyed a moment of silence before she spoke. "You know what I was drawing? A rotten apple tree. I'm not in a good mood either, I'm just used to covering it up in tense situations." She pushed a bang in front of her eyes to distract herself. "How frustrated are you? You need a massage?" I nodded at the last part and laid down in front of her.

"On a level of one to ten: a nine. You're the reason I'm not a ten." I was about to say more but she hit a knot in the perfect spot and I groaned without meaning too.

"Good?" She was laughing. Good plan me, good plan. I swiveled my head against the bed sheets and nodded. "Glad you feel better then. But guess what? You have to give me one when I'm done."

"No fair…" I mumbled.

"Life's not fair Jace. Besides, don't you love me? I am doing such a good thing for you." To prove a point she rolled her knuckles over another spot and relaxed me even more. "We have a deal?" Oh hell yes, of course we had a deal.

"We have a deal." I laid there thirty more minutes until I felt her hands lift from my back. Reluctantly I got up and let her lay down, but instead of sitting beside her I sat on her upper thighs.

"You do know if the door opens you will be subject to a lot of questioning, right?"

"I don't care now shut up and enjoy yourself because I rarely give massages. Okay?"

She bobbed her head and let me go to work. When I hit certain spots on her back she would moan and clench her fist. Eventually it was too much too handle, mainly because I could feel myself getting too excited for the situation. When I freed her legs she looked up and moved her body into a sitting position.

"Did my moans not help that or?" I nodded and gulped. She was smart after all. "I'm sorry. I didn't realize how good you were and I guess I handled the situation poorly." She pulled her knees into her chest and embraced them. "So what now?"

Sex? NO! I didn't want to do that to her, she didn't deserve that given our situation. I resolved to just kissing and showed her instead of telling her. Clary moved her hands to my neck and wrapped her legs around my waist. I was about to pin her under me when the door flew open with such force that even I jumped.

"Jace, get off her now!"

Oh shit, Jonathon.

_A while later_

"You were what?" Clary shrieked in the living room. When Jon came in the room Izzy had dragged him out, signaling we should probably follow. Turns out he had been listening for a while.

"I thought you two were having sex! Excuse me for misinterpreting your conversation. Why would you even let him pin you down anyway? He's a guy!"

Clary puffed up and poked him in the chest. "SO ARE YOU! HOW DARE YOU EASE DROP WHEN WE WERE ONLY MASSAGING EACHOTHER! BESIDES, HE DID NOT PIN ME DOWN! I was wrapped around him like a spider monkey!" She breathed for a minutes and regained her composure. "You can't watch me forever."

"Isabelle said I could stay here until the whole fiasco was over. It's not my fault I'm here, it's hers."

"You CAN"T blame Izzy for this. You were a pervert, an over-protective pervert. I love you but brothers don't burst in the door like that. Only you would!" I got up and wrapped my arms around her so she would be rational again. "I mean to say, you had no right to do what you did and I want an apology right now. You could have opened the door less forcefully then yelled. But no, you had to become the hulk and slam it open."

Izzy stood from the couch and stepped between them. "Jon, just apologize. Please?" He looked at her with a look that made me uncomfortable. "For this house's sake, do as your sister asks."

"Izzy, I also need to talk to you later. Just saying." Clary grimaced. She pulled me to the couch so she could try and calm down.

"Fine! Clary, I'm sorry for listening in on your conversation and scaring both of you." She nodded in his general direction and grabbed the remote beside her. "So about that pizza… You still got any?"

Izzy grinned and lead him away. I still wasn't happy with the look he gave her but I didn't know why…
