Late night submission! Been a rough weekend, hope you are all well!

"What is this Taruto?" Kisshu picked up a piece of the strange pie his companion had brought, watching as strings of cheese drooped down from it. It steamed and smelled strongly.
"The humans eat it all the time," Taruto replied, shoving half of his own piece in his mouth then mumbling: "They call it pizza!"
"No one should talk with their mouth filled," Pai countered, although he took a piece for himself. Taruto rolled his eyes, cheeks bulging as he chewed.
"If you say so..." Kisshu stared at the piece a moment longer, sniffing it. It did smell good, although he couldn't say it was a familiar aroma. Holding it as though it might try to take a chunk out of him first, he bit off the corner. Flavour filled his mouth.
"See, I told you it was good!"
"Not bad," he agreed once he had swallowed. He wondered if Ichigo ever ate pizza. Maybe they could have some together one day?
"Anyway," Taruto continued, grabbing up a second piece, "humans use it to celebrate and stuff so I thought since we are going to be attacking tomorrow-"
Pai interrupted him, his pizza half way to his mouth. "Please tell me this is not a premature celebration. You know how I feel about such things."
Taruto waved his comment aside with a sticky hand and shook his head. "I'm not jinxing anything. I'm just thinking it could be good luck!"
"Hm," was all Pai said.
Kisshu put down his piece, suddenly losing his appetite. He had almost forgotten about the plan. Tomorrow they were going to take away the powers of the Mew Mews. He had tried delaying it, tried to push it back, but his friends were set on it. They were tired of being here, or fighting, and of watching Earth be destroyed.
What was he going to do? He didn't have time to convince Ichigo that they were right, to convince her to come with him.
"Come on Kisshu!" Taruto laughed, sauce speckling his cheek. "You said yourself it wasn't bad – eat up!"
He forced a smile at his friend, although it felt more like a grimace on his face.
He might have a chance to sneak her out of the attack tomorrow. While the others were getting ready, he could get her to safety, take her away. That meant he would have to find her first and get her alone. A thrill ran through him, sending off chills even as the pizza sat warm in his stomach.
He could explain everything afterward. She might be upset at first, and he would understand that. But once he had explained, she would see that he was right. She would see what he had done for her and then they could be together in the new world they would create together. The new world that Deep Blue would rule and his people could come to.
