Chapter 9 - Meanwhile at Shinra
Inside an office in the Shinra building, a man is fixing his black tie. He is alone in his room, but that doesn't stop him from looking symmetrical and presentable. Black tie, black Italian suit, black leather shoes, long black hair, all are ironed, polished and straightened.
For those who don't know Tseng, most will mistake him as a funeral home director solely based on his appearance. Which is not that different than the role as a Turk really. He does deal with dead bodies, whether digging them out of a grave or taking the life of others, these responsibilities falls under 'taking care of businesses' in his job description.
Tseng sat on his executive chair behind his mahogany desk with a concern look on his face, a foreign expression as with any other emotions from this man. He'd bite his fingernails nervously, if he wasn't so keen on looking clean and perfect. He sat there, waiting for the door to his office to swing open. Every second he waited, felt like an eternity.
"Tseng!" His door finally slams open and a large man in a green suit enters. This man has the longest bushiest beard in all of Shinra, and he is none other than one of the highest ranking member of the organization, head of Public Safety, Heidegger.
The long haired senior Turk immediately puts on his straight face, hiding away his nervousness.
"Heidegger, what a surprise", Tseng said calmly.
"Did you see the memo from Hojo?!" Heidegger slams his heavy hands on the mahogany desk. "What is this about your subordinate letting Avalanche go?!"
Tseng hated this man, and he has no idea what the former president saw in him. Arrogant, completely incapable of holding a professional image, and even more incapable of performing his job as head of Public Safety. Still, this arrogant bastard is his boss, and being the professional senior Turk that Tseng is, he has to obey the hierarchy system, afterall, he is below Heidegger in the food chain.
"I saw the memo about Cissnei, but I assure you, she did not help the enemies escape", the Turk leader answered.
"I don't care what you say!", Heidegger spat. "Hojo is going straight to the president".
"Then, Hojo will go to the president", Tseng continues. "Cissnei's loyalty to Shinra is unquestionable", he said with a straight face.
The bushy bearded man growled, "Rufus just became president, and my department gets a complaint already from that creepy science freak!" Heidegger turns and heads for the exit.
Ever since the president of Shinra was mysteriously murdered in his office, his heir, Rufus has taken control over the corporation. Young, ambitious and full of ideas, Rufus has already implemented changes to promote efficiency within the company. This means Heidegger has to be alert at all times, his days of sleeping in his office, three hours lunch break, abusing low ranked employees, fooling around with his secretary and much more are over. Like any organization going through major changes, employees are afraid of being let go, and Heidegger is no exception. Worried that his job maybe endanger, this puts the bearded man on his toes. Not wanting to get on Rufus' bad side, he is doing everything he could to avoid negative light shining onto his department, no matter what dirty tricks he has to use behind closed doors.
"What is this about that girl hanging around Hojo's specimen room?! Do you guys not have enough work to do?!" Heidegger continues.
"Cissnei always perform her job at a hundred percent. Her records will prove you so. Perhaps she developed an interest in science and wanted to learn more during her breaks" Tseng continues to defend his subordinate.
"I've ordered the guards to keep Cissnei confined, what we do to her depends on the president". The large man in the green suit grabs the gold plated doorknob, "If the president expresses any displease with me, that girl is gonna get it". He warned and exited Tseng's office, slamming the door behind him.
Shit… All because of my decision to let Avalanche take Zack and Aerith away, Cissnei has become a suspect for betraying Shinra. "I should have let her run away with Zack". Tseng quietly said to himself as a sigh escaped his lips.

Author's notes: A short chapter, but a crucial one for the story. What's gonna happen to Cissnei?! Do you even care?! Lol As some of you who follows the story should know, I made Cissnei take care of Zack when he was in a coma, so I see a lot of potential in her character. I can't wait to show you all what I have in stores for you with her character.
I've been writing so much lately, the next thing I knew, I've written 20 pages on word. Unfortunately, I'm not happy with it enough to upload yet, but I assure you, I will update soon!
