Author's Note: this is a quite important chapter, it is where i'm going to get into the real plot of the story, everything before this was just introductions and background. by the way, interesting fact, this is the only story i've ever written with the end in mind. all of my other stories that got such good reviews were really just an idea that i improvised with. anyway, tell me if you like it or not, but i'm pretty sure only two or three of you will review, i guess that means the rest of you are lazy.

Chapter 9:

Sam's POV:

"Any Ideas?" I repeat Freddie's last words. "You're the smart one, you should have the ideas." I yell at him and he looks away ashamed.

"Well, I'm still a little groggy from being under Missy's control." He says defensively. "We always could just attack her when she's not expecting it, we've got the element of surprise." I ponder this, well what else can we do?

"Okay, we should go soon, it's getting late, and night would be the best time to strike." I say. We sit in silence for a few hours waiting for the best time. Occasionally, Freddie would grab my hand and squeeze it. As we sit there I realize a flaw in our plan. "Wait, where is Missy? How will we find her?" I ask him.

"She's at her house." Freddie tells me quickly. I look at him curiously.

"How do you know that?" I ask him he looks at me puzzled.

"I don't know, I can just feel it, like a thought in my head." He says. "It's probably just the last bit of the connection Missy had to me dying out." He explains.

"Well, where's her house?" I ask him.

"I know that too." He supplies.

"How?" I question him, and he looks away ashamed.

"I, uh, I was there, at her house." He tells me without meeting my eyes.

"Oh, why were you at her house?" I ask him trying to make it sound as if I didn't care, I also didn't meet his eyes.

"She, um, brought me there." He responds.

"Really, what did you do there?" I probe him for answers, anger seeping into my voice.

"She, uh… she… C'mon Sam I was being mind controlled." He whimpers.

"What did you do there?" I repeat the question with more force.

"She… she… made me kiss her." He whispers. I stand up from his bed and walk away from him.

"Oh, I'm sure she made you." I snap at him.

"Sam, do you really think I would willing make out with her?" he reasons.

"Oh, so you made out with her, I thought you just kissed her?" I yell at him.

"Please Sam, don't do this." He begs.

"What else did you do? Two attractive teenagers alone in a house, anything could have happened." I tell him with jealousy and anger fighting for control of my voice, "It's like putting two horses in a dark barn."

"Sam, that's not fair, nothing like that happened. Why are we even arguing about this? It's not like I had a choice in the matter." He yells at me. I open my mouth to yell back at him but hold it back and close my mouth and turn away from him.

"We should get going, it's dark out." I say changing the subject from the fight.

"Yeah." He agrees after a few moments of silence. He stands and follows me out the door. We get into the elevator and ride it down to the lobby, when there we head out the doors. I follow Freddie for about ten blocks, the streets are suprisingly empty except for a few cars going by, and almost no one is out. Eventually we reach Missy's house, it's a big house, it is probably a blue house, but in this late hour it appeared to be solid black, a very ominous house. We walk up to the house and Freddie tries to open the door, it's unlocked and we walk right in. the door leads into the living room, a very large room with a couch that doesn't seem at all big enough for the huge room. The TV, which would cover an entire wall of my bedroom, only covered a fraction of the wall here.

"Hello Freddie." Says a voice from the other end of the room. We turn to find Missy at the top of a very large set of stairs on the opposite wall. "I see you found Sam for me, how sweet." She says. I start walking toward her determined to hurt her as much as possible.

"Oh, you wont think it's sweet when I knock your teeth out of your head." I tell her.

"I seriously doubt that." She says with a cocky smile on her lips. Suddenly two large men, that look like they have military training, step onto the stairs. The sight of them causes me to stop moving. The two quickly move down the stairs, one grabs me and the other grabs Freddie.

"What? How did you know?" Freddie asks.

"The second you were free of my control I felt it Freddie, I could only imagine Sam had something to do with it, so I took over these two as security, and now, the rest of my minions are on their way here." She says.

"Why are you doing this?" I ask her.

"Why is the manipulator taking over the town? Huh, I just can't figure it out." She says sarcastically.

"No, you've had your powers for months, why are you doing it now? You could have done it long ago." Freddie says.

"How could you possibly know how long I've had my powers?" Missy questions.

"You've been in my mind and I've been in yours." He says.

"Well if you must know, I've been recruited to take this town over, then destroy it. Someone really doesn't like Seattle." Missy says.

"Who, who recruited you, and why?" Freddie asks.

"No more questions Freddie, all will be revealed as soon as you're under my control again." She says teasingly to Freddie in a way that makes my blood boil. "But first, I'll be sure to get Sam so you can't escape again." She says and moves slowly over to me. She reaches me and forces my head up to look her in the eyes. She looks deep into my eyes and I struggle to break free of the soldier's grip, but my hands are held tightly behind my back. She continues to stare at me and I can tell she's put off by something.

"What's the matter, Missy?" The soldier holding Freddie asks worriedly.

"I can't seem to enter her mind." Missy says and looks away. "I don't get it." I look at her confused, but then it clicks. I look down at my chest, the necklace is still working, she couldn't take me over because of my necklace. Suddenly a plan forms in my head.

"Hey Missy!" I call to her and she looks over. "Here's something else I bet you weren't expecting." I feel the bracelet behind my back and flip the switch. All of a sudden my clothes shift and become blue, I feel all of my strength flow into me and I throw the soldier off of me. He flies back and hits a wall, the other soldier releases Freddie and charges me, I grab him with one hand and throw him into a different wall, he hits it with a thud, then falls to the floor.

"Wha-, how?" Missy asks and at that moment the front door flies open and her minions start to march in with Carly leading the pack. I rush forward and grab Missy; I pull off my necklace and wrap it around her neck. I shut the metal clasps together so she'll never be able to pull it off and crush the switch so she won't be able to turn it off. As soon as it's around her neck, the crowd collapses. Freddie runs over to check on a few of them.

"Just unconscious." Calls Freddie and he walks over to me, I'm still holding Missy to the wall by her shoulders.

"That's good, because now I can kill her." I say and grab her neck in my left hand and slowly start to squeeze. Her hands go to her throat and try to claw at my hand. A smile spread on her lips and it makes me even angrier. I'm about to break her neck, when Freddie falls to the ground, grabbing his throat. I release Missy and they both gasp at the same moment. "What's going on?" I ask purely out of confusion.

"I win, that's what's going on." Says Missy, pushing herself to her feet.

"What do you mean?" I ask her rage boiling inside of me.

"I mean Freddie and I are connected." Says Missy raspily, her throat still soar from the near strangling

"No, I broke your control over him." I tell her.

"Yes you did, but we're still connected, when Freddie tried to take me over for a cheap prank earlier, it established a connection that I've been making stronger and stronger since I overwhelmed him."

"But, wouldn't the necklace counteract it?" I ask, desperate for a way out of this.

"The connection isn't our minds, it's our hearts, literally, as long as we're connected, if I die, he dies."

"Can you break the connection?" I question her.

"With a minimum of effort, I just have to choose to do it, but why would I want to do that?" She informs me.

"You will break that connection or-"

"Or what?" she asks, "You'll kill me? Because we both know how that's going to work out. So here are your choices, kill me and kill Freddie, or let me go and save Freddie's life. Your choice." I look at her with utter hatred, then over at Freddie. The decision isn't even hard.

"I choose Freddie." I say and move to let her go. "But if I ever see you again, I'll make you wish you were dead." I tell her and she runs off out of her house and into the night. I crouch down next to Freddie and turn my bracelet back on. My clothes go back to normal and I help him to his feet.

"What happened?" he asks.

"I made a choice, now come on, let's get Carly out of here." I say and we pick her up and carry her back to her apartment.

General POV:

Missy kept moving, she gets to the spot where he told her to meet him. She is supposed to tell him how her mission is going, and she knows he isn't going to like this. She turns a corner and walks into an alley. Suddenly, he's there.

"Are things going according to plan?" he asks in a smooth voice. Missy fidgets slightly.

"N-No, not exactly." She tells him.

"Oh, what happened?" he asks.

"I ran into some unexpected variables." Missy tries to say calmly, but her wavering voice betrays her fear.

"Such as?" he prompts trying to extract information from her.

"Such as The Heroes." Missy explains to him. "One of them managed to stop me and freed all of my minions."

"All of them?" he asks in surprise. "What about the fail safe?" he asks.

"Yes it worked, all of the people lost their memories of being controlled." Missy tells him. "Except somehow one of them kept his memories, Freddie Benson."

"Is he a threat?" asks the man.

"He wont try anything, I've connected our life forces, so if I die he dies, but I can break the connection and we can kill him without harming me." Missy says.

"Don't break the connection, it'll make this a lot easier." He says.

"Make what easier?" asks Missy.

"This." He says and steps out of the shadows. Cal pulls out his pistol and lets it hang at his side.

"No, you can't kill me, I'm helping you." Missy says and starts to back away.

"No, you were helping me, you failed and I can very easily kill you." Cal explains. Without a second of hesitation, Missy turns and runs for her life. Cal sighs and raises the gun. He fires off two shots and Missy falls to the ground with a bullet in each of her legs. She scrambles in her pocket and pulls out a pen. She clicks it and rights three letters on her hand. Suddenly, Cal appears in front of her. "Any last words?" he asks her.

"Yes, The Heroes will find you." She says and spits at him. He wipes her spit from his face and points the gun at her head.

"Not if I find them first." He says and pulls the trigger. About ten miles away, Freddie Benson continues to sleep soundly next to Sam Puckett.

So, what did you think, dramatic enough for you, enough action, enough Seddie? how will i know unless you review you lazy jerks.
