Chapter Nine
Yin ran the iron over Yuki's school uniform carefully, steaming out all of its creases, just as Hei taught her. Strong arms wrapped around her waist and a lean frame dug into her back. A familiar masculine spicy aroma filled her nose and calmed her frazzled nerves. He littered her neck with doting, affectionate kisses, being especially careful not to distract her; she was definitely prone to burning herself.
"Ohayou…" He mumbled drowsily in her ear. She felt a delicious shiver erupt down her spine at the deep husky rumble of his voice.
"Ohayou" She softly replied back. Deft fingers trailed over her torso, lovingly groping her breasts and caressing her sensitive collarbones. His face was nuzzled into her neck and he inhaled deeply. She could feel a slight smile gracing his lips as he mumbled,
"Is Yuki awake yet?"
She paused. A feeble gasp tumbled from her pink lips as his soft bed of ink black hair tickled her skin. He always smelled of a combination of sandalwood and apple cinnamon and it reminded her of a tender, crisp autumn afternoon. His hands trailed down her arms until they reached her own, gently prying the iron out of her hands to place it aside.
"Unh uh, he's still asleep." She whirled around in his arms, wrapping her arms around his hips loosely and leaning on her tiptoes to capture his lips. She swallowed his faint moan and mimicked it with her own when he impatiently brought her body closer to his. They both inhaled sharply when her belly came into contact with his growing manhood, barely beginning to strain in his boxers. He pulled away for air, his hungry indigo eyes ravishing her face as he murmured hotly,
"Do we have time-?"
"-Yes" She interrupted impatiently as her little hands curled around his probing hipbones, her nails biting his flesh. He smirked at her impatience, bringing a hand up to cup her chin and bring her attention back to his face. Her lilac eyes sparkled with adoration as she slowly began to tug the unnecessary fabric off his hips.
"-to shower together?"
He laughed lightly to himself at how distracted she was as he obediently stepped out of them, flinging them across the room as her hands began to tug his tank top up his torso. He finished the task for her, due to their evident high difference, and it too joined the pile of the not needed.
"...shower...unh, I suppose we do" She agreed softly as her mind finally processed what he said. They walked, hand in hand, completely naked, the short distance to their master bath. She watched him as he turned the nozzle, occasionally testing the temperature as she bound up her long silver hair.
"Do you not have work today?" She asked curiously. It was routine of them to shower together over the weekends when they had time for other things...when soap suds inevitably transformed into electric shocks of ecstasy clinging to their wet bodies. She shivered at that thought. But it was not the weekend yet, and usually he would be off the work right about now.
"I took today off. Today is career day at Yuki's school…" Hei stated matter of factly as he led her to the bath tub.
"I see…"
"It has always made me nervous knowing that I'm already at work when you walk Yuki to school." He commented as he pulled the shower curtain back. He turned around to search her blank face. She blinked up at him slowly, which he translated to her basically saying that he was being ridiculous.
"His school is only a block away. We are always fine." She reminded him as she accepted his help into the tub.
"I know...now we can do it together." He responded as he lathered up her loofah. She brought her fingers up to her lips to form a smile. He smiled at her habit, knowing better than anyone how prominent her more human tendencies were, and how capable she was at forming a smile on her own. Old habits die hard, he supposed.
They cleansed each other slowly, adoring the other's body with affection, occasionally stealing kisses and lingering caresses over certain sensual body parts. Her hands trembled slightly as they ran down his chest, grazing his hardened nipples and following the trail of his hair leading to the deep 'v' shaped indent of his lean hips. He moaned at her touch, leaning against the tiled wall weakly. Lilac eyes searched his face when his eyes closed. She relished in how utterly relaxed he looked, shoulders slumped inwards in defeat, lips slightly parted as he breathlessly panted her name. She loved the way his black hair would plaster to his face and how affected he was by the way her skin shimmered in the dim bathroom light. She loved the way the water ran down his body, the way it collected on his thick eyelashes before it grew too heavy and tumbled to the drain. She loved the way his scent intensified and mingled in with the fresh scent of the bathwater. She loved the way he licked his lips when she playfully brushed against his erection, tracing soapy patterns on his thighs before they got washed away. Lazy hands caressed her modest hips, trailing up the curves of her tapered waist before they rested right below her shoulder blades.
"Let me wash your hair"
He brought a hand up under her chin again, using the other not at her face to pull the scrunchie from her dry tresses. His eyes marveled at the way her hair tumbled down her back, instantly growing limp from the water's embrace. Yin bit her bottom lip, wrapping her arms around his neck while pressing her modest breasts into his chest. She sweetly kissed his chest and giggled when she felt his dick twitch against her belly. He moaned pleasantly as her familiar vanilla scent enveloped the bathroom, instantly picking her up and securely wrapping her legs around his waist.
"When you look at me like that...Yin" He panted accusingly in her ear, giving her romp a gentle squeeze. She brushed her wet hair out of her face, and latched her lips to his sweet stop under his chin. The sounds of his moans blended in with the rushing patter of the water hitting the tub. He weaved his fingers through her hair, his hands coated with shampoo that she didn't notice him pick up, and teased her scalp with the pads of his fingers. She sighed at his touch, enjoying the relaxing waves of sensations that coursed through her body. Absently, she rolled her hips against his body, rubbing her hot sex against his wet skin. He yanked her hair, forcing her to expose her neck as he bit lightly on her shoulder.
"God, Yin!" He groaned, leaning them both forward and taking a step further into the steam of water. She instinctively leaned her head back, and he ran his fingers through her soapy hair, working the shampoo out of her hair. She clung to his body, nails biting into his strong back. She arched her body and let out a soft cry when his hands brushed the sensitive bruises on her neck, and his hardened erection slipped out to rub against the crease of her ass. She felt his hips thrust upwards, rubbing his erection into her ass' hollow to create a delicious friction. She moaned loudly at his ministrations, and his name tumbled off her lips as an erotic whimper.
"Hei...please…."
They were immediately out of the shower, the running water forgotten as he carried their wet bodies to their bed. They fell heavily against the bed, and she widened her hips to accommodate his weight. Instantly his face was nuzzled into her neck. One hand brushed her wet hair that clung to her body off her shoulders as the other lovingly ran up her calves before collecting her fleshy thighs into his hands.
"Do we have time?" She thought she heard him mumble as he curled a hand around the back of her knee, guiding her to open up wider for him. She struggled not to squeeze her eyes shut as she glanced over to the wall where the clock hung. She moaned sweetly for him when she felt his tip teasing her pearl.
"Make it quick…" She whimpered. Her back arched off the bed when he immediately slipped inside, filling her to the hilt.
"...so...tight" He gasped sharply as he rolled them over, knowing the sensation of her on top would quickly overwhelm his senses and send him over the edge.
"Hei" She moaned aloud. She took the hint and set a steady pace above him, bouncing up and down his erection. His eyes were squeezed shut and his head was lulled back. Her core shook at the sight of him; it never ceased to amaze her that it was her own doing that caused the lustful looks on his face. She felt his hands on her hips, guiding her movements. His thumb occasionally strummed her peeping pearl, effectively electrifying her nerves and moistening her pink heaven. The harsh sound of his panting filled her ears, and she felt her body weaken from pleasure at the sight of him. She leaned forward, threading her fingers through his damp hair and yanking it gently to allow her access to his ear. He shook below her, his hips rising to met her wet sex impatiently as she brought her moist plump lips of his ear. She whispered into his ear exactly what would bring him over the edge,
"Hei...cum for me,"
She watched as his eyes rolled to the back of his head with tingling satisfaction as he choked out a choppy stream of obscenities. As usual, he cried out to Kami, his nails digging into her waist as he slammed up into her. He brutally attacked her sweet spot, thrusting himself deep into her womb. Trembling fingers stumbled over her sex to find her pearl once more to bring her over the edge with him. When she felt her core uncoiling, that tight knot nestled in her tummy unwind, she cried out. Her eyelashes collected the spoils of her pleasure before her hot tears rolled down her cheeks. Her name was a weak pant that lingered in the air as he rolled them over, hitting her sweet spot erratically four more times, drawing out her orgasm dutifully before exhaustion consumed them both. She hummed contently when he pulled away; his form was a hazy blur as she watched him stumble to the bathroom to turn off the water they left running.
When he came back she sat up weakly. Her legs felt like jello but she stumbled out the bed regardless.
"Why are you getting up?" Traces of arousal were still deeply etched in his voice and she eyed him lustfully.
"..need to wake up Yuki" She breathed as she reached for her robe. He shook his head, setting the clothes she had already laid out the night before for herself on the bed and slipping into his own robe.
"I'll wake him. Rest awhile. We have a few minutes to spare." He collected their son's uniform into his arms and slipped out the room. She slumped back onto the bed and closed her eyes, allowing her body the opportunity to come down from her daze. She could hear Hei's voice in the next room, probably coaxing their six-year-old to awaken. She imagined him sitting at the corner of the bed, running his hand gently over the small lump under the covers, telling him softly that it was morning and time to get dressed for school. She smiled as she recognized the sleepy rasp of Yuki's voice, and the creak of his bed as the sheets rustled.
When they were all dressed, unconsciously matching sporting an indigo blue that mimicked the color of Hei and Yuki's eyes, they made the short walk to Yuki's primary school.
"Miss, do you need to sign your younger brother in?"
"Younger brother…?" Yin asked as she eyed the woman who was seemingly a volunteer for orientation with curiosity. The woman pointed to Yuki.
"Well hello there, little guy. What's your name?" She cooed at him in an annoying high pitched voice. Yuki smiled at her tenderly, never letting go of his mother's hand.
"Yuki" He announced calmly. If he was in any way phased by how childish she was regarding him, it didn't show on his pale face.
"Yuki, what grade are you in?" .
"First grade..." The woman gave a dramatic gasp as she exclaimed,
"Wow! First grade? That's very good. Are you excited for career day? Where is your parent? Are they here to sign in? " She asked enthusiastically as she looked around, completely unfazed by Yin and Yuki's confused gaze.
He looked up at his mother questioningly, who was staring at the woman blankly.
"This is my mother, miss" He stated matter of factly. The woman promptly sized Yin up, her pleasant features scrunched up from shock.
"Oh my goodness! I humbly apologize. I mistook you as his sister. My, I feel foolish. Please forgive me!"
Yin simply nodded her head.
"My husband went to get our visitor's passes at the front office. He's here for my son's career day event." She spoke softly, taking the pen out of the woman's hand to sign Hei's name on the roster.
"Where do we go after we sign in?"
The woman looked at her dumbly. It was clear she was still surprised over the fact that the seemingly young woman before her was a mother. Her eyes shifted to the child beside her. He indeed looked exactly like his mother. His heterochromatic eyes were mesmerizing, just as his short silver hair was unusual. A tall, slim built man with deep blue eyes and jet black hair walked over. He was incredibly handsome and he wore a suit that matched the color of his eyes. She watched as he nonchalantly wrapped an arm around the young woman's waist, and whispered something into her ear. He stuck a visitor sticker on the collar of her polished indigo a-line dress that ruffled slightly at the hem, and handed the other sticker to their son. They were an attractive family, and after studying the husband more she recognized how much their son mimicked his cool, laid back mannerisms.
"Is there a problem?" A rich, deep rumble emanated from the handsome man and she dumbly shook her head.
"Mama was just telling her that you're here for career day" Yuki stated. He sounded especially bored, and she didn't stop them as she watched the child lead his parents away from the sign in desk.
"Thank you." The husband commented as he followed his cute little family. The woman found her voice enough to mumble,
"Eh, it's my pleasure. Have a great day..."
"Papa, thanks for coming to career day. It was fun!" Yuki smiled warmly at Hei, lapping at his strawberry ice cream cone. They had stopped at the ice cream parlor in town on their way home and bought a few tubs of their favorite flavors to eat after dinner. But now they were at home on their balcony, watching the sunset and enjoying the cool breeze.
Hei ruffled his hair affectionately as he watched Yin lap at her butter pecan waffle cone.
"Is it good?" He directed to the both of them.
They both nodded and he smiled. He himself had opted out of ice cream and instead chose a popsicle.
"How is school Yuki? Do you like it?" Yuki nodded.
"Yea. I have a lot of friends."
" Are any of your classmates contractors?" Yin asked softly. He shook his head.
"Some of them are weird, but none of them do strange things like papa"
"Ah look, the sun finally went down. Isn't the sunset beautiful Yuki?" Yin asked. Yuki smiled.
"Yes mama, it is; like you."
Hei smiled. If Yin could blush, she would have been bright red at that point. Yuki, knowing he embarrassed his mother's delicate modesty, came over and gave her a gentle kiss on her lips, just as he had done when he was a little four year old boy.
"Yuki, why don't you go grab your telescope? The sky's gonna get dark soon. Tonight's a great night to go stargazing. Oh, and it's gonna get really chilly so bring a sweater and a blanket out here for your mother."
They watched him walk back towards the house before he disappeared behind the balcony sliding door.
Hei regarded their son carefully. He had changed quite a bit since when he was a little boy and he wasn't sure if it was simply because he was just growing up. Yuki wasn't as enthusiastic and carefree as he was when he was a child.
"He takes after you." Yin commented. She was staring out into space but he didn't find her random observation to be any more unusual than she usually was.
"How so?"
"He has changed a little. He is calmer. He is less joyful. I fear his contract abilities will manifest any day now…"
"Hn…"
He thought it over. Yin was right, nonetheless. Yuki had been slowly changing over the past two years...more like evolving, and he wondered why the changes were coming about. In the back of his head he knew they both secretly wished that his contractor abilities would never present itself; that maybe they got it wrong. They as parents could never wish anything greater for him than for him to be happy, to feel normal.
"I say he takes more after you. He is less conversational and is very observant. Nowadays he only speaks when he feels it is necessary which is usually when he is spoken to. And let's not ignore how gifted he is already on the piano." He let his observations sink in before he continued,
"I think it's a good thing...that he takes after you. Because then that means he still has hope. He still believes in his future, even when it is uncertain. We don't know what he's bound to become, but I'm ok with whatever as long as he's happy." She shook her head. She agreed; the only future she wished for their son was one of contentment. She was confident they would both do whatever it took to make that happen for him.
"What do you suppose his ability is?" She asked emotionlessly. Or at least if anyone else had heard her, her speech would have sounded very bland. He was past all that with Yin, and could practically feel the nervous air in her tone.
"I don't know."
It almost felt taboo talking about it. They had not talked about it since Yuki was returned to them, and deep down he felt it was better that way. He didn't want his son to be a contractor, and he felt uncomfortable speaking it into existence. Yin knew him well though as she softly mumbled,
"We don't need to talk about this Hei...if you don't want to." He frowned. As much as he didn't want to talk about it, he knew it was not wise to just ignore it. If Huang and Mao said their son had a star that was active when he was born, then he probably truly was a contractor.
"Maybe his powers have manifested and he just doesn't know it yet" She spoke his thoughts aloud, and for the first time during their conversation met his eyes. He frowned deeper.
"That's not very reassuring Yin" he mumbled under his breath. She averted her gaze.
"...It would make sense…"
He reluctantly agreed with her as he intertwined his hand with hers. She seemed visually upset at her own revelation and he felt the need to console her.
"Let's just keep watching him and see…" He spoke calmly, rubbing his thumb soothingly over her thumb. She frowned.
"What if it happens when he is at school….how would we know?"
"I'm not sure. Yuki is a good kid. He would tell us."
"He's only six Hei…" She reminded him unconvincingly.
"Yes but he's smart despite all the odds against him...just like his mother." Hei whispered in her ear. He saw a hint of a twinkle in her eyes.
Hei glanced over the rail to check up on their son, who was down below in the grass watching the stars through the telescope they'd bought him for his fifth birthday. He was comfortable with the device now, and set it up every night to track the stars. Hei wasn't surprised the day he had to explain to him why the stars were so odd, and that even though the real sky had returned, the fake stars never disappeared.
Yuki didn't seem phased when Hei explained what the fake stars really were.
In fact, he seemed far more fascinated by the fake stars than the real ones. So after an easy conversation with Yin, they decided it would be harmless to let him indulge in his curiosity, and thus his apparent love for astronomy was born.
"Mama, papa, look over there. There's Venus." Yuki shouted nonchalantly as he pointed to the shiny star in the sky far in the west.
"Remember how I told you if you look south after nightfall you will see Jupiter? Do you see it?" Hei asked curiously as he searched the night sky for himself. After all, sky gazing was his favorite pastime when he was younger, and that adoration was not even close to dampened.
"I don't see Jupiter yet. I wonder if it has risen? There is Saturn!"
Yin turned to look into the southeast direction he was pointing. And sure enough she located the dimly lit star. It was almost unrecognizable against the other dim stars. Hei laughed lightly at her apparent confusion.
"You can't see all the planets at the same time. Some are too close to the sun during certain months and some are always a little too far away. But for the most part, you can always count on being able to see a few of them like Mars, Venus, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn...and of course the moon."
"Hn"
"Are you cold Yin? Yuki brought this blanket for you" He wrapped it around her shoulders. She was busy watching their son from the balcony rail, but he was busy watching her.
"You're staring" she mumbled, never taking her eyes off their silver headed little boy. He paused.
"Of course...your smile, your eyes, the way you laugh, the way your voice soothes my soul, the way your hips sway, the way you moan my name, the way you hold my hand...you've turned me into a lovesick fool. I could stare at you forever Yin. You're beautiful. And best of all…" He leaned in, pulling her into his lap to where her head rested against his chest and wrapped his arms securely around her rounded shoulders,
"...you're mine."
Even with a sky full of stars, when he looked at her, she was all he could see. She nuzzled her face into the crook of his neck and fisted her small hands into his shirt. She deeply inhaled his unique scent, comforted by the feel of his strong arms enveloping her body.
"I love you Hei…" She glanced up to eye him. He was looking straight ahead at the night sky, possibly mesmerized by its beauty, as she knew he often was. The cool breeze was blowing his short hair wildly, and his tresses were earnestly chasing after one another. She shivered at the sight of him. She shivered at the way his deep voice rang in her ear. She shivered at the way her body responded to his love. It truly moved her heart, the way their life had ended up the way it had.
"I love you too Yin."
"Why do you love me?"
They had been married for over a decade and now is when she chose to ask why he loved her? He gave her the most sincere, genuine expression she had ever seen on his face. And the way he looked at her was so intense; his striking indigo eyes probed into the depths of her soul. It was as if he approved of everything she held inside. For a moment she thought he wouldn't respond; he was so quiet for so long. She wondered if her question had struck him to his core and rendered him speechless. Finally, after bringing her left hand up to his thin lips, he longingly kissed her ring finger and then every finger beside it as he whispered,
"Something about you makes me feel a little more alive...and a little less lost.
I am utterly intoxicated by you, Yin..."
