I'm so sorry that I haven't updated in so long guys. I was supposed to update earlier, but I went to Chicago with the band on a week ago and then I had to make up the stuff I missed while I was away. We had so much fun. I wasn't able to bring my laptop which is why I didn't update then. Plus the hotel I was in didn't have free wifi. Who knows why it didn't come with the money we paid to go there! If you ever do go to Chicago though, watch the Blue Man Group! Amazing show, and they really respond to the audience even though they don't talk. Managed to get a Selfie with one of them too!
Anyway, I do not own Black Butler. I only own the plot line and my OC.
BTW, I'm thinking of making a blog and Instagram for my fans. If you find this interesting, review me with a 3, and if you don't, review with a #NO. Also, should Michelle save Madame Red or not? Respond people!
No. I won't abandon hate. If I do, nothing would be left of me.
Ciel Phantomhive (Black Butler)
I winced as we passed another bump in the road. We were heading towards Ciel's London home, and Ciel sat across from me. It was silent in the carriage as I looked out the window. This morning, after breakfast, Ciel had asked me about my friends and family. While my family never really payed attention to me- there were six kids in the house- my friends stood by me when I needed them. Currently, I was remembering them. Even though I loved it here, I missed them.
I glanced over at Ciel to see him staring at the Queen's letter. It seemed like we were going with the anime, which I was okay with, but I really did not want to see Ash/Angela. I liked the Greys way better, and the Queen in the manga was hilarious. Looking back outside, I realized that we were at the house.
"Ugh! There are too many people in London." Ciel and Sebastian were in front of me and walking toward the door. I was too busy taking in the sights. I still managed to answer him though.
"That's called a city, Ciel. It's also like that in neighborhoods. I suggest you get used to it before the unthinkable happens and you have to go to one." Ciel threw me a glare which I ignored in favor of watching Sebastian snicker behind his hand.
"From the country manor house to the London townhouse… It's traditional for the nobility to move en masse for the Season." I'm guessing that it's like birds, and when they fly South in the Winter. Not telling Sebastian that as it will give him another reason to compare humans to animals in a bad way. Except cats… Which I can't do myself. Cats are just too adorable, and I was afraid of dogs anyway.
"Season, eh? Honestly, these cretins have too much free time." I didn't know if Ciel realized, but he was a noble too. If he meant cretins as the people who moved houses en masse for the Season then he was essentially talking about himself.
"At least when we get away from the estate, we don't have to deal with all the trio. I'm actually quite glad I won't have to deal with an explosion everyday no matter how much I love Mey-Rin, Finny, and Bardroy." Sebastian nodded as did Ciel.
"We should be able to spend some quiet time, my lord." I snickered knowing what was about to happen. If Sebastian knew what lay behind the door we were about to walk in, he would not call it quiet time. I would call it entertainment with a Lau.
"Quiet time, hmm?" Ciel and I stopped in front of the big doors as I watched excitedly as Sebastian opened it. We were getting to the good stuff of the anime and manga. And there was the good stuff: Madame Red, Grell, and Lau all ransacking Ciel's London home.
"For goodness sake! Wherever do they keep the tea in this place?" The red-haired beauty carelessly tossed a book behind her as I stared into the room with my boys by my side.
"I can't find it either…" Did they even try the kitchen? I don't know about them, but if I actually liked tea, I'd keep it in the kitchen. Well, Ciel always did have an eccentric group of friends. Especially Lau and Madame Red.
"Oh silly. Of course it's not over there." I giggled quietly as Sebastian and Ciel stared at the scene with broken smiles on their faces and sweat drops on their foreheads.
"Madame Red? Lau? What are you doing here?" I ignored the outraged Ciel in favor of skipping towards Madame Red. She smiled at me while ignoring Ciel's outraged looks he was throwing us. I merely ignored his glare by skipping next to Grell to look over his shoulder. He glanced up innocently with chocolate in his mouth. Holding out my hand, I waited for him to give me one.
"Goodness, you're early." I giggled as Grell quickly swallowed the chocolate and looked towards Ciel. I was currently eating my own chocolate.
"You coming here can only mean one thing." Lau smiled with his eyes closed as the air around us suddenly became serious.
"The Queen's guard dog is making a move."Ciel's outrage turned to no emotion as he stared straight ahead at their words. My smile turned to a frown as I looked over at Madame Red or otherwise known as Jack the Ripper. Looking down, I wondered whether I should save her…
XoXo
"Another prostitute was murdered in Whitechapel yesterday." I casually sipped my hot chocolate with a melancholy frown. I had seen a dead body before, and it was not a pretty sight. Jack the Ripper's victims were much more gruesome than the ones I had to see when Will would take me with him to do his job though. Will had said that he was a kind of Undertaker who showed up at the death scene. I honestly don't know if I believe it now. "These aren't ordinary murders. They're bizarre… No, you could fairly call them aberrant."
Sebastian, who stood behind Ciel who sat next to me, took it over from there. "A special blade was used on the most recent victim, Mary Ann Nichols, and she was torn apart beyond all recognition."
"Here's what Scotland Yard and the press are calling the criminal: 'Jack the Ripper'." Ciel finished off. I scowled as I remembered the pictures that I saw of the victims before. They were destroyed without a doubt. I had nightmares for a week just seeing the gruesome stuff that the killer did. Of course with Black Butler, the killer was sitting right across from my 'make-believe' cousin.
"Jack the Ripper, eh?"
"So I hurried to London to ascertain the situation." I nodded sadly while trying not to look Madame Red and Grell in the eye. It was actually pretty easy until Madame Red sent me a comforting smile. I was interrupted of my ignoring of Madame Red by Lau who put his cup down with a clink.
"Do you have the guts to see the crime scene?" I shivered thinking about the way those women had looked in the pictures and knew immediately I would not be able to stomach the real thing.
"What do you mean?"
"The darkness and bestial stench that pervade the scene eat away at those who share the same destiny. If you set foot upon it, you may be consumed by madness." Lau rose from his chair to walk towards Ciel with a close-eyed smile. "Are you prepared for that, Lord Phantomhive?" The Asian man reached out and cupped Ciel's cheek. I tensed.
"I came here to dispel her worries. Don't ask foolish questions." Ciel's eye narrowed as Sebastian's face turned dark. I bit my lip while looking between the three men who seemed to forget about everyone else in the room.
"Very nice. I like the look in your eye." Lau smiled as Madame Red continued to drink her tea, not once saying anything in the conversation like me. I only had one thought.
I didn't like it. I didn't like Ciel's look at all.
XoXo
Our little group marched forward while the people around us seemed to move around on their own. I mentally tried to contain my squeal at the adorable cop who turned his head to see us: Abberline. "What brings you here? This is no place for a child or a lady." I raised an eyebrow while looking at the crowd. There were a bunch of ladies besides me. "Go on home."
"Where is the victim's corpse?" Way to sound like a morbid child Ciel. Hey, maybe after this we can all see another dead corpse!
"Corpse?! What are you saying?!" I think he made it pretty clear to what he's saying Abberline…
"Abberline! What are you doing here, Lord Phantomhive?" OH MY GOD! Randall, no one wanted you here! Go away! I don't know if anyone noticed, but I really did not like Sir Randall. He just was not a favorite character of mine.
"You know him?"
"I came to clean up after the slow-moving hounds working this case, Sir Arthur Randall." I reached out and grabbed the files in Abberline hands before handing them to Ciel. "It looks as if you haven't gotten any clues."
"We of Scotland Yard will solve this case. We don't need your interference." It seemed like the Queen thought you did. I heard a gasp from Abberline, and I looked over at the shocked face of Abberline and the angry face of Randall. Did I say that out loud? Looking over at Sebastian and Ciel, who were both smirking at me, I realized I must have.
"Excellent. Let's go, Sebastian, cousin." We turned to leave, but not before Sebastian managed to squeeze in a 'Yes, my Lord'. As we made our way to Madame Red, I didn't notice Sebastian send a warning glare to Abberline while his hand grabbed my shoulder.
"What will you do?" I bit my lip trying to hold back the squeal of joy of getting to see him.
"The best thing would be to probably visit him." Ciel, you just read my mind. I ignored Sebastian's questioning glance as I practically skipped down the street.
"My lord! You don't mean…" Oh yes, Lau. He means it.
"Indeed I do." And that is how we found ourselves in front of Undertaker's humble abode. I smiled widely while trying to tone down my jumps and squeals.
"So… where are we?"
"You just spoke as if you knew all about it, didn't you!?" Well, what did you expect Madame Red?
"It's a funeral parlor run by an acquaintance of the young master's." Not even going to call the Undertaker a friend, are you Sebastian? Well… I guess that's perfectly sensible since Undertaker seems too crazy to try to make friends… Until I came along. He's just going to have to accept the fact that I am practically throwing my friendship in his face.
"'The Undertaker'?" Sebastian nodded while opening the door to allow our party in. I tried to hold back any fangirl screams at the parlor that surrounded me. And Undertaker was right behind one of these coffins. That seemed to fuel me with more screams, but I managed to hold it in.
"Are you here, Undertaker?"
"I'd thought you drop by before long." A grey nail flicked out of the coffin on the right before a long finger appeared. I held in my excitement as the coffin door slowly opened to reveal hair, glowing eyes hiding under bangs, and then his face. "Welcome, my-"
"OH MY GOD! IT'S THE UNDERTAKER! I have been waiting my whole life to meet you." I rushed forward, forgetting where I was momentarily, to shake the grey haired man's hand vigorously. For the first time, Undertaker seemed to be shocked. "I just wanted to ask you a very important question and perhaps get an autograph if that was alright. What kind of shampoo do you use, and can I touch your hair?" Before he could finish nodding, my hand was already running through his hair while commenting on it's silkiness.
You must be wondering how everyone else is reacting to a fan-girl's dream come true? Well, Madame Red was smiling while thinking about all of the suitors who she could have her new niece choose from, Grell seemed to be slightly jealous, and Lau simply smiled as he usually does. Ciel just merely stood with an exasperated look on his face while trying to fight the face-palm that was coming, and Sebastian… dear Sebastian looked ready to kill everyone in a three-hundred mile radius.
"Michelle, please." I blushed, and with one final hand through Undertaker's hair, stepped away from the now giggling mortician. The grey-haired man raised a finger towards me before speaking.
"I like this one. You should bring her here more often." That seemed to be the final straw for Sebastian who immediately grabbed me by the arm and pulled me into his side. Undertaker merely giggled even more before turning to Ciel. "Is today the day you'll condescend to enter one of my special coffins?" That reminded me. I have to give Undertaker my wants for a coffin and funeral.
"Certainly not. Today I-" Undertaker raised a finger to Ciel's lips.
"You don't have to tell me. I know. That wasn't the type of customer fit for respectable people. I'll have you know, I made her beautiful." I really hoped Undertaker did. The ladies in the pictures I've seen deserved to at least look presentable. I was broken from my thoughts by Sebastian tightening his grip on me. Looking up, I met his eyes and couldn't look away. Sebastian's eyes glowed for a second before he turned his face away from me with a hungry look in his eyes. I shivered not noticing I was leaning towards him and tried to listen to the conversation again.
"I have no desire for the Queen's coins!" I giggled into Sebastian's side which earned me a slight chuckle from the demon. The Undertaker merely looked over at Ciel with a crazy smile. "Come on, my lord." He had now moved closer. "Give it to me! Give me prime laughter! Do that, and I'll tell you anything." Now he was doing the dance. The I-Wanna-Laugh dance.
"Leave it to me." We all turned towards Lau who now looked quite serious in this situation. " Behold the genius of the man that Shanghai called the Sleeping Tiger of New Year's Parties! Every calendar's days are numbered." Silence… Well, at least, I got the joke. Madame Red then stood forward.
"If I must… Madame Red, the belle of fashionable society, will tell her special story!" I didn't even have time to cover my ears like Sebastian did to Ciel before she started. "So, his [CENSORED] was completely flaccid and [CENSORED] but when I [CENSORED], the [CENSORED] tip started bobbing like [CENSORED]-" I made a weird noise in the back of my throat before Undertaker had the decency to cover my ears which earned him a Thank You hug while Madame Red continued with her story.
"Now, my lord, you're the only one left." I was too traumatized to even try to say a joke. My virgin ears could not handle the stress of hearing Madame Red's words. Sebastian merely ignored my state before pulling me to him. I was now muttering into his jacket, trying to get the memory out of my head. "I gave you a special discount last time, but I won't do it again."
"I see that there is no help for it." Sebastian stepped forward confidently, leaving me to stand behind Ciel alone. Not that I minded… it's not like I wanted to be snuggling with Sebastian… because I didn't like him like that. Just keep telling yourself that, Michelle. "Everyone, please wait outside. You must not peek inside on any account."
After some struggle, we managed to get Ciel out of the same room that Sebastian was in. And when I mean we, I mean myself. Grell, Madame Red, and Lau were no help. Standing next to a slightly tense Ciel, we waited in utter silence. Until the laughter…
Undertaker's laughter was not as loud as it was in the anime, but in real life, that man could laugh. I'm pretty sure everyone in 2015 could hear it. Undertaker's place even rumbled slightly, and the places surrounding it. I managed to catch myself while Ciel used my arm to steady him. And then the sign fell… That was going to be a pain in the butt to fix. Sebastian opened the door.
"Please come in. It appears he will tell us everything." The demon butler moved out the way for me to see Undertaker drooling on a coffin. I'm pretty sure he was saying something about dying and going to Heaven, but I'm not sure.
After I was handed hot chocolate and a few cookies that looked like dog treats but actually weren't, I sat beside Ciel on an unused coffin, not wanting to disrespect the dead. I was the only one who had accepted the cookies while everyone else stared at me with disgust which I ignored.
"These days I often get customers who are incomplete."
"Incomplete?"
"Yes, incomplete… the wombs are missing." I shivered while my hand that held no cookies now slipped subconsciously to my stomach. "Though the killer makes quite violent splatter, the wombs themselves are neatly cut out."
"It was done on a public road, even if it was not a high-traffic one… Wouldn't have such an excision been difficult for an amateur, particularly in the middle of the night?" Yes, it would have, Sebastian… but we're not dealing with an amateur.
"You're a sharp one, butler. That's my opinion as well." Suddenly the Undertaker was behind me. "First the Ripper slashes their throats with a sharp hand weapon, then cuts this part open… and takes what's precious to them." The Undertaker mimicked the movements of what he said with his hands on my body. I merely smiled while patting his hair. "I'm sure there will be others killed. People like that don't stop until someone stops them. Can you do it o villainous noble Lord Phantomhive?"
"On the honor of my family crest, I eliminate anyone who defiles the Queen's garden, without exception…" Not even family, Ciel.
"And by any means necessary."
XoXo
"What he said narrows down the field of suspects considerably." I was the one who said this while staring down Madame Red who simply ignored me in favor of staring at Ciel.
"First those well versed in medicine or dissection. From among them, those who have no alibis for the nights before the murders discoveries. And given the removal of internal organs, it seems ritualistic… So we should also consider those involved with secret societies and black magic." I nodded along with what Sebastian was stating while thinking about if Madame Red was in a secret society… I didn't really think she was.
"That doesn't 'narrow the field' at all! I'm a doctor; I could have done that dissection!" But you did do it, Madame Red… "And summer is ending. Before another week passes the Season will be over, and any doctors the noble man have brought into the country will go ho-"
"Then we'll simply conclude our investigation before then." I giggled under my hand, not noticing Sebastian's smug smirk at having made me laugh. "A Phantomhive butler who can't do that much isn't worth his salt. I'll make a list of suspects now and question all of them." Sebastian opened the carriage door before turning to us. I merely waved at the cute butler. "Now, if you excuse me…"He let go and flew out of the carriage.
"This carriage is moving!"
"Sebastian said he'd do it. We can just sip some tea and wait." I turned to Ciel with a wider smile.
"That's if he doesn't beat us home!" Ciel stared at my unwavering smile before blinking a few times. He suddenly jerked up in his seat before shouting: "MOVE IT, GRELL!" I giggled as the carriage seemed to get faster than it probably should have. And just like that, we were at the London house. Lau opened the door, and there was Sebastian already bowing at us.
"Welcome back. I've been awaiting your arrival. Your afternoon tea is ready." The demon grabbed Ciel's hat and my coat, which I handed to him, before winking at me. I flustered, glad that Madame Red said something before anyone could notice my blush.
"How did you get her?!"
"I finished my errands, so I came home ahead of you."
"You already made a suspect list?"
"No… I merely created a list of names based on the criteria we discussed, contacted them all, and directly collected their statements." Somehow, Sebastian now had three scrolls all in his hands. I didn't even see him grab them though.
"Come now, Sebastian, even for you that would be impossible…" I sweatdropped as Sebastian read every single word off of each and every scroll. Such a show off.
"Through this investigation, I've narrowed it down to one person who meets the criteria." Madame Red asked about Sebastian being a butler or something. I wasn't really paying attention anymore. My dress was now much more interesting than this conversation. It had sparkles and everything… it was mostly just a simple blue dress other than that.
"No I am merely one hell of a butler."
Finally! That took so long to write… I almost gave up a few times there. Anyway, don't forget to answer my questions and stuff at the top of this story in the first author's note. It would be most helpful… By the way, feel free to ask me questions, and if I feel they won't show my story plot then I will answer them to the best of my ability!
ikemengalore2014: I think everyone has a little bit of a perv in them, and I love you too! Just for being a reviewer. I didn't know if I should tone it down a bit with their moments so I'm glad you're liking how their feeling. Michelle likes Lau because she finds him a very great character( as do I). She doesn't mind him as long as she tries not remember his brothel and prostitutes… Besides, you'll find out why she doesn't exactly mind in the next chapter or so…
Guest: I hate it when characters are out of character… In any story that I write or read, they have to be in character for me to enjoy them. I like a little OOCness as long as it fits with the story. Like with what I'm doing with Sebastian; he doesn't have romances and is not the type of guy to just settle down, but now with Michelle, he wants to be married to her because she's his mate… You get it?
BlackVeilBride's Army: Thank you! I'm personally really good at writing comedy because I like to make jokes in general. I'm glad that you're liking this so much though! It makes me very happy, and when I'm happy, I update more.
S-Lioness: Luckily, that's going to be coming very soon so just wait alright! Can't wait to get to Will either!
