Disclaimer: I do (not) own Fairy Tail.
I am so sorry this is late. I meant to have it up yesterday, but I had to work out a few kinks.
"Ever been to a Halloween dance Luce?" Gray asked, holding up tickets.
"Considering that I don't like Halloween, my overprotective father, and the fact that I've never been on a date with anyone but you in my entire life... What do you think?" Lucy told her boyfriend, shaking her head.
"I thought not," Gray smirked. "Want to to try one? They're hosting one arms the guild. Seeing as you've never had the experience, and it's something you might like, I might as well take you. It's not like it means anything..." he rambled arrogantly.
"Your butt is not a hat Gray," Lucy said, smiling.
Gray scratched the back of his head characteristically before responding, "I don't quite understand your point there, but I take it you're coming?"
"You've got your head shoved up your butt as though you're trying to wear it as a hat." Lucy rolled her eyes, "However, I will come with you, but only because you're a wonderful boyfriend."
"I'm not sure whether to say you're also a butt hat, or tell you you're a wonderful girlfriend," Gray pouted.
"You should tell me I'm a wonderful girlfriend," Lucy grinned, than stuck out her tongue.
"Gosh you're cute," Gray muttered.
"I agree," Lucy teased.
"Do you want to match costumes?" Gray asked, hastily changing the subject.
Despite the fact that Lucy really wanted to keep teasing him, the offer of matching costumes was sweet enough to sway her, Lucy thought quietly before voicing what she wanted to be, "Dark fairies, forces as powerful and terrible as they are attractive?" she asked.
"In that case you must be a truly amazing dark fairy, considering your looks," Gray complimented her, but ruined it by saying, "However, you've got nothin' on me."
Lucy ignored his crude humor and plunged on, "So it's decided?"
"Dark fairies it is!"
"Ya' wanna know something Gray?" Lucy said, pausing only slightly before continuing on, "You're a great boyfriend."
In the spirit of things, Gray said the nicest thing he could think of, "I don't have a thing on you Luce, you're the best girlfriend there is."
"Love you," they said simultaneously.
Gray leaned in and gave Lucy a kiss, "Honestly, I really don't deserve you," he said.
"I'm the one who doesn't deserve you," Lucy corrected him.
"Let's agree to disagree," Gray compromised.
"Whatever," Lucy rolled her eyes and picked up the book beside her.
"Oh no you don't!" Gray warned.
As anyone would be, Lucy was confused, "What?"
Gray chuckled at Lucy's naïvety, "You wanted to be a dark fairy, so we have to go get costumes."
"Now!" Lucy squawked.
"When else? Halloween is tomorrow." Gray shrugged, then grabbed Lucy and dragged her out of the house.

"Now now Lucy, you wanted to be a dark fairy. So you have to pick our costumes." Gray scolded.
Lucy could not get over how freaking sweet her boyfriend was. She was incredibly lucky to have him.
"That one," she said decisively, pointing at a set of clothes hanging on the wall.
(I really, really hate clothing descriptions, so I'll let you imagine these yourselves. At one point I may draw this, so check out my DrawCast account- also entitled Analytical.)
"Perfect!" Gray asserted.
"So that's what we're wearing?" Lucy asked.
"Sure," Gray said, reaching out and ruffling her hair.
Gray paid for the costumes, then walked Lucy home. As soon as they got there, he turned to to leave.
"I'll pick you up at seven tomorrow!" he called, "So be ready!"
"I love you too!" Lucy shouted back.
She smiled. Tomorrow was going to be amazing.
