This one isn't terribly long but I really do rather like it

His chest heaved. His legs stilled. He wasn't going to make it much further. He'd tried his best, and got as far as he could. The light was coming for him.
"Dipper, cut the melodrama. I refuse to believe you can't handle a little jog around town."
Pacifica Northwest stared incredulously at her boyfriend as he stood hunched over, breathing heavily. When he'd brought up the notion of joining her on her morning jogs, she was rather fond of the idea. But if he's gonna tucker out this far in…
"So giant robots, monstrous creatures, ghosts, and government agents, sometimes all in one day, are no trouble, but a half-hour trot with his girlfriend is just too much for Dipper Pines? Quite the disappointment." She quipped.
"Cardio… is not… my strong suit." Dipper barked back between breaths. Catching his breath as best he could, he began to speak more clearly. "I've usually got a good amount adrenaline going depending on how life-threatening the situation is. Not a lot of danger out at the moment."
Pacifica placed a hand against her chine pensively. Dipper raised his eyebrow suspiciously when she grinned at him, an idea seeming to have come to her.
"So, what you're saying is, you need some incentive?" she asks coyly.
"Yeah, I guess." He said.
Without warning, Pacifica walked up to Dipper, taking his face in her hands, and brought her lips to his in a brief kiss. A kiss all too brief Dipper thought as their moths separated. "What wa-" his words were interrupted with another kiss that ended just as shortly as the first. Red in the face and at a loss for words, Dipper could only look at Pacifica with a dazed expression.
"We've jogged about two miles. Two kisses. You get one more for every next mile." She said. Then, she leaned in close to Dipper, whispering into his ear. "And maybe, if you're not too tired, we could do another kind of cardio."
And with that, Pacifica returned to jogging, leaving Dipper alone to consider her offer, all while the phantom feeling of her lips on his lingered and dominated his mind.
"This woman will be the death of me." He decided, pressing on to catch up with the enticing young woman.
