The Prince took the girl down the hall walking as casually as he could as he didn't want to arouse any suspicion. He didn't say a word to her as to make he wasn't overheard by the Queen's men or such, but he knew she was extremely frightened. Kail sighed as he felt the girl shaking as he carried her to the Chariot. Poor thing she looked no older than fifteen and Nakia was going to kill an innocent girl for no reason. Deep inside though Kail was pleased to see the girl against after pondering over her for days. She did have strange features though, she must be from a foriegn land. Egypt maybe? No they had much darker skin. Assyria? No. Maybe she was from the far west.
They soon approached the chariot and Kail called out to his servant. "Kikkuri the ceremony is over let's head back to the palace," he called out. Kikkuri, his freckled but able second hand man looked baffled at what lay before him. Kail smiled at his confusion. What, he could take a concubine once in a while couldn't he?
"Sir," exclaimed Kikkuri in a quizzical tone. "Who is that girl? Where did she come from?" Kail them frowned at the memory. He released the girl dropping her in front of him nearly scaring Kikkuri out as he thought the girl would fall over.
The mysterious girl shrieked at the sudden change in position and looked down not meeting Kail's gaze. He continued to look at her as he explained would had happened to Kikkuri.
"It was that damn woman again. She was scheming and up to no good as usual it seemed. I spirited this girl away from Nakia's clutches before any real harm could be done."
The girl looked up with wide eyes shocked at what he had just revealed. She had dark brown eyes, that neared the color of black. She had streak black hair, but soft ivory colord skin. He had never seen anything or anyone like this girl.
"Wait," she said softly. She had a lovely voice indeed, that made she sound elegant and formal. "Aren't you and the Queen friends?" she asked looking upon Kail wearily. Kail laughed at the thought.
"Ha me and her friends? Nakia thinks I am one of the most bothersome people in the world. She would have me dead if it were up to her." Kail looked quizzically at teh girl as she seemed to take this in. "What did the Queen want with you exactly?"
Suddenly the girl lifted her head her face a mere few inches from Kail's face. "Where am I? This isn't my home!"
Kail could see the hysteria in her so he answered her without question. "You are in the capital Hattusa, I am the third prince of the Hitite Empire, Kail Mutussa."
The girl froze at what he said and tried to move away from him slowly him. She looked down, eyes wide in shock. Her complexion paled. Kail dared not to approach her, he didn't want to frighten her more. She answered him in a weak voice, as if she were forcing herself to ask him. "You mean. . . I'm near Egypt?"
Kail smiled at the thought. "Well we are a 14 day chariot ride from Egypt but yes we are close, King Tutankuman is ruler there now, if you want to call a 16 year old a ruler." Kail looked down and saw that the girl's hands were still tied behind her back. Her ivory skin seared red at the binds. Kail frowned at the sight. He stepped closer to the girl and reached behind her to untie her. She flinched when he touched her but he paid no mind, continuing to talk as if he had not felt her hesitation.
"What did the Queen want from you so badly that she would want to sacrifice you in front of the entire court," Kail asked as he took off the last of her restraints. She looked down and put her hand over her mouth in horror.
"She said taht she was going to put a death curse on all the princes so that her son could become king," Kail's eyes widen in horror. What?! That witch, she had been planning to kill all his brothers. Kail stared at the girl suspiciously.
"And what exactly does she need soemone as small as you for?" he asked , trying to control his voice. She stood frozen looking at something beyond what he could see.
"She said she needed to have my blood flow for the curse to work, agh how horrible," she wheezed. Kail's expression softened, the girl seemed to hate the idea of killing, seeing her reaction to the Queen's intentions. She was so fragile and young.
"What is your name?" he asked softly. She looked up at his eyes, and he saw something in her black eyes that made him want to know more.
"My name is Yuri."
