Hello, everyone! Did ya miss me? I missed you~
So, yeah, sorry that I've been gone a while. I'm okay. Well, still alive, anyway. It's just kind of been chaotic. But no need to worry! I'm all good now!
As an apology, I guess you deserve more than one chapter, huh?
-giggles- well, enjoy!
~Flashback~
In sophomore year, Mr. Black had suddenly appeared at school. He'd instantly become everyone's least favorite teacher. He gave out too much homework and never had sympathy on anyone. He was cruel, and everyone could sense it about it.
As bad as he was, there was also something very alluring about him. His golden eyes danced as he spoke, and there was always that confident smirk on his lips. He was so mysterious and beautiful. He wasn't even that much older than his students. Of course he had admirers.
One of them was Lucy. She loved him, loved his class, loved everything that had to do with him. He became her obsession. She would do anything to please him. Even if it meant blackmailing someone else. Yet, he never noticed her. She was always ignored. She was nothing to him.
Jack, being friends with her sister, had offered to help. He was good at explaining things and being direct. He'd helped many girls out with their love problems, so why not her? Besides, she was Tooth's sister. That made her family to Jack.
It hadn't taken much for Jack to become close to Mr. Black. That's just how he was. Everyone felt drawn to him, as if he were a star on a cloudy night. All he had to do was offer to help grade some papers, and tada! Mr. Black asked him to help out some more.
All the time while getting close to Mr. Black, Jack would speak about Lucy. He was always talking about how dedicated to school she was and what big dreams she had for her future. Though it never got a reaction, Jack didn't give up.
He would tell Lucy what they spoke about each day. She was curious to know the progress, after all. Jack was the only thing that could get her noticed by Mr. Black. If he was doing anything negative, she'd have to stop it.
They'd just gotten back from winter break when Lucy noticed that Jack was spending a lot more time with Mr. Black than they had planned. He would go there during lunch and his free period, and sometimes stay after school. Lucy had even heard from a friend of hers that they'd been seen outside of school together.
Lucy decided to ask Jack about it. He hadn't mentioned anything about putting in so much effort into this. She didn't want to burden him. He shouldn't neglect his studies, after all. They came before her love life. Jack had a future too. Lucy didn't have the right to ruin it.
She'd acted as if she had a question on the homework so she could get into Mr. Black's room after hours. When she had gotten in, she had caught Mr. Black and Jack heavily making out. She'd run away immediately, feeling betrayed.
Jack had used her. She'd been an excuse to get close to Mr. Black so he could have him. She hadn't even known Jack was gay! Though, it didn't really matter. He was just a traitor who did nothing but think of himself.
It was just the next day that Jack had been suspended from school because Mr. Black had said he was violent against him. Jack had never returned from his suspension. He'd come back to drop out, but that was it. Lucy never saw him inside the school again.
That's when she realized how horrible Mr. Black was too. They'd had sex, and then he goes and gets Jack in trouble. He deserved it, but still, there was no reason to do that. Lucy decided to give up on getting alone with either of them. She transferred classes and refused to step foot into Jamie's house while Jack was there.
They'd destroyed her.
~End of flashback~
"Jack must've had a good reason," Aster defended immediately.
"You've been pulled in too," Lucy laughed. "He is so talented at fooling people. Seduces them."
"I haven't been seduced," he said. "He's just not the type."
"What Jack wants, Jack gets," Lucy hissed. "Haven't you realized that by now? Have you once seen any of your little friends say no to him?"
Aster thought for a second. Sophie was sometimes hard on him, but had never said no. Tooth was kind to him. Sandy... was kind to everyone. And Jamie seemed to have a soft spot for him. They never actually did anything to go against him.
"That's just friendship," Aster muttered.
"No," Lucy argued. "He's taken you all as pawns to do what he wants."
"We're not playthings, Lucy."
"Oh?" Lucy questioned. "Then why does he smile at your misfortune?"
Aster paused. "That's not..."
"Even if you never believe me again," she sighed, "believe this. Do not make the mistake of trusting Jack Frost."
"He's not-"
"Don't end up like me, Aster."
