"You sure, Niisan?" Worried pale eyes viewed the mentioned male that was pouting lightly as they conversed in the hallway. "I know you don't like them."
"I'll be fine, four-eyes."
"Niisan." The serious tone made the other shift away with arms crossing as the rain pelted harder. Amber eyes viewed the two from the down the hall around the corner, curious on the conversation at hand.
"It's just a stupid thing anyways."
"No it's not and we both know why it—"
"How about you shut it?!" Blue eyes glared sharply that made his little brother flinch at it. Yukio knew the subject was touchy, but not sure how touchy because he wasn't the one to experience what was happening. The bluenette experienced it all and the younger brother still wasn't sure what happened to the other; which made him worry. Being with their biological for a few years did a lot of mental damage and the brunette would never find out.
"Sorry…"
"Just… just forget about it, okay?" The nervous manner leaving the older male only brought worry and he moved to his room. "Goodnight."
"Goodnight, Niisan." The door shut behind the bluenette and the teenager in the hall sighed out before noticing their older friend moving towards him. A pale finger moved to point at the room the younger twin was staying and they stepped in. "I'm sure you were listening."
"Just him saying that he would be fine and on."
"It's best you never ask about the matter." Amber eyes burned with curiosity, but a shake of his head showed he knew better than to pry.
"Sounded like he never wanted to."
"It's linked to our biological father." Surprise found Suguro at the mention of the man that neither took to. "You seem to know."
"Rin mentioned his nickname and how people figured he would follow his steps."
"Figured? He did for the longest time." Slight regret filled the brunette on mentioning that part, but knew that his older brother just mentioning something about the man said he had some trust in the older male. "It's a big touchy subject… I probably should stop here, especially since I have no clue what happened to him after—" The words cut off and glasses were fixed as he cleared his throat. "I bid you a goodnight, Suguro." The sentence indicated the end of the conversation and the man took his leave. Thunder rumbled loudly and the brunette n' blonde heard a thump across the hall with a groan. A hand moved to open the door to let him see the figure grasping a hold of dark hair.
"Huh?" Blue eyes found the larger man with only a pair of pajama pants on and a concerned look.
"I happened to hear a loud noise while passing by."
"I just fell back and—" Another loud clap of thunder made the pale male stiffen with his face turning away. "I'm just getting to bed."
"Rin…" Silence followed as eyes scanned the form that resisted the urges to tremble. Feet moved into the room with the door closing behind him and he moved to the other. "Get into your bed." Blue stared in confusion to the other on what was happening before a foot pushed at him to lie on the bed roll.
"Alright! Stop pushing!" The body moved under the sheets and suddenly the lights flicked off. "Oi, what the he—ck?"
"Shut up, idiot." The voice was close to Rin's ear and suddenly he felt a body resting against him.
"I don't need you in here." Amber eyes looked towards the dark figure and as lightening flashed around the cover, thunder followed loudly. Fingers grasped pajama pants tightly with a body curling around the sitting man. "Don't even."
"I don't know what you are talking about." He feigned innocence and acted like the other was not hanging onto him. Red tinted the cheeks of each male, one in appreciation and the other for thinking of how he liked being close to the smaller frame. Suguro hadn't really had time to think about the whole 'crush' thing, but he didn't want to go as far as avoiding the other to think about it.
"It's stupid, I know."
"Not really… I am afraid to go into the ocean, if that helps any." The body moved and soon legs moved around the larger male with the blanket soon encasing both of them. Neither spoke about the new position as skin felt a cotton shirt and heated breaths.
"Why?"
"I can't swim."
"Eh? It's not hard!" Another clap of thunder had legs tightening for comfort along with the body pressing.
"Well, I think it has to do with me almost drowning when I was seven." A hum left the pale male as he soon relaxed into the warmth and safe aura he felt.
"Oh… I guess that would make sense then; kind of like why I don't like storms." The two became quiet, listening to the storm and the younger male heard the heart in the other's chest thump away.
"It's crazy how fears are born." A snort that filled the air was muffled as the bluenette rested beneath the blanket.
"Yeah, especially since we are fearless at a young age." Blue eyes appeared as he gazed into the dark abyss before him as he remembered some things he wish not to, but did nonetheless.
"Too bad we don't stay like that… but then again, it is better this way." A confused noise was made at the statement and Suguro began to clarify. "If everyone was fearless people would be killing each other or doing things they shouldn't."
"I guess you're right." Silence followed them as they relaxed in the presence of one another and suddenly the body behind the larger one tensed, but not from thunder. "Bon…"
"Hm?"
"I don't like storms because I witnessed my biological father murder someone on a stormy night." The body in the bluenette's hold did not stiffen or shift away and he became curious.
"Are you thinking it could have been you?"
"Possibly."
"It wasn't though and now I'm here, so you are safe." Hands moved pale legs into his lap, over crossed legs, and tan fingers entwined with light colored ones. When no response came from the shocked teen, the older male relaxed his eyes. "You should get some rest."
"This hardly seems comfortable." Rin mentioned after pulling out of his surprise and then the body shifted before him.
"You are talking to an apprentice priest."
"Oh yeah, you must be used to sitting like this." Snickers left them as they ignored the noise outside and soon the bodies shifted to where backs were lying against one another while on their sides. Amber and blue disappeared behind lids with a smile gracing the pair of lips from both.
