"Hey, Chlo. What time is Beca gonna be here?" Aubrey asks.

It's winter break, the Bellas decided to come back after Christmas Day so they can all spend New Years together. Beca was in Portland, visiting her grandparents from her mom''s side. Chloe looks down at her phone. 2:36 pm. Her phone blinks. She looks at the picture of her and Beca, when the brunette pinned her down to the bed, taken by Jesse a month ago. The morning after their first date. She smiles at the memory.

"Bec should be here anytime today." Chloe says. All the girls were scattered in Beca, Aubrey, Chloe, and Stacie's living room and kitchen. Fat Amy, Jessica, and Stacie are watching TMZ while the others are chatting, or are on their phones.

"Update on Beca Mitchell." The man on the tv says. Everyone's eyes shoot straight to the flatscreen. "She isn't working right now, she decided to go to college for some bizarre reason." "She's all set, I don't understand why she's wasting her time there." "Boring topic. C'mon, everyone." "Found something! Beca Mitchell was arrested for destruction of property. Bailed out that same night by that chick Chloe Beale." "She's been hanging with Chloe a lot. Is there anything going on between them?" "Well, their pictures on Instagram. They talk about how amazing or beautiful one another is, but both girls have never actually confirmed a relationship." Most girls in the room were shocked from what was going on in TMZ right now.

This can't be happening. Not without- (Chloe thinks.) Beca unexpectedly walks through the door, snapping Chloe out of her thoughts.

"Uh, hey inch." Amy says, breaking the silence. Everyone acts like nothing happened. But Beca can tell something is going on. Beca looks to Chloe who just stares off into space. While the other girls whisper to each other and Aubrey is smirking to her.

"Okay, what did I do." Beca states.

"What?"

"I know there's something up. No one is acting normal." Beca says.

"Well, none of us are normal. We're all psychos." Fat Amy smirks. Beca rolls her eyes at the girl.

"You know what I meant."

"Nothing happened. We were just watching TMZ, and you came up. Stuff about college, and you getting arrested, which led to the topic of you and our ginger over there." Fat Amy tells.

"Is this true?" Beca asks Chloe.

"Hu- What?" Chloe says, getting snapped out of her thoughts, again.

"You haven't been listening, have you?" Beca chuckles.

"Well, that TMZ stuff is unimportant, they have no lives to be sitting around in a room all day just to talk about celebrity gossip and rumors. So other than that, how was Christmas?" Beca says, changing the subject as nonchalantly as possible. On the outside, the brunette brushes off the subject like it's no big deal. But she only did that, because her and Chloe have yet to talk about if they're ready to come out. And she doesn't want to rush Chloe is she isn't ready. In minutes, the girls stopped talking about the twosome. Chloe walks over to Beca, who was sitting on one of the stools at the island. "Thank you." Chloe whispers.

"Anytime, Red." Beca winks.

"How was Christmas?" The brunette asks.

"It was good. My mom bought a few magazines of us, and wouldn't stop asking questions. They know about us, now they wanna meet you." Chloe smiles.

"Wow, that escalated quickly." Beca lets out a nervous chuckle, Chloe just giggles.

"What about you?"

"Well, I haven't seen my grandparents ever since I left for LA when I was sixteen. I surprised them, and my grandma wouldn't stop crying. I talked to them about you. Also, my mom."

"Your mom was there?"

Beca hesitates, "Yeah." The girl lets out a small sigh. Chloe questions Beca's sudden change in mood, but decides to ask about it later.

"Well, I'm glad your time there was good. Now, you hungry?"

"Actually I'm just a little tired from the flight. This kid wouldn't stop crying and this mom and daughter who were sitting next to me couldn't stop arguing." As Beca gets up from the chair, she turns back to Chloe, "Do you think you could join me?" Beca asks. Chloe smiles, and goes to the bedroom with Beca, not worrying about the girls who watched them leave.

The two lay on the bed, Beca's head is on top of Chloe's stomach, as she lays sideways on the bed. Chloe stares down at the girl, brushing her hand gently through Beca's hair. They lay there in a comfortable silence.

"You wanna talk about it?" Chloe suddenly asks.

"About what?" Beca acts like she doesn't know.

"Becs, don't think I can't tell when something's wrong. There's something you're not telling me. Don't lie to me about that. I'm not gonna force you to tell me, I just want you to know that I'm always here to talk. We've been together for a month, and everyday that I've been with you, you would always be the one person I look forward to talking to." Chloe sighs, Beca stays silent, urging Chloe to continue, "Babe, I don't deserve you. But I'm so lucky to be with you. And I don't want you to be afraid to talk to me, about anything. Please trust me when I say that I will never walk out on you. Ever." Chloe says.

Beca raises her head from Chloe stomach and looks at her. She sits up and crawls to the girl, kissing her softly on the lips. Chloe smiles into the kiss, her hands pulling Beca closer, until she realizes that something wet is on the side of her lip. She opens her eyes, and hears the girl whimper. Chloe pulls away from the kiss, and brushes the girl's tears away with her thumb.

"Hey, hey." Chloe whispers. She lifts Beca's chin, forcing the girl to look in her eyes. "Baby, please tell me," Chloe says stroking the girls cheek.

"I'm sorry," Beca smiles sadly, "I hate being this way. I hate 'over-acting' and being so bipolar with my emotions." Beca sighs. "Becs, you aren't emotionally bipolar, something's obviously bothering you. You wouldn't act this way if it was nothing." Chloe says, kissing Beca's lips.

After a few minutes of silence, "My mom died when I was 14, she was in a car accident, and I was sleeping over at Jesse's because we were working on a school project. No one told me 'til the next day, after she died in the emergency room. I never got to say goodbye. And I'd always stay at Jesse's place or my grand parents after that. My dad - he came to the funeral, said to give him a call if I needed anything, and I never saw him after that. Until I came here." Beca chokes back a sob. "I visited my mom's grave two days ago. And I told her all about you. I would've asked you to come meet her, but I didn't know if you'd find it uncomfortable. I should've asked you if you wanted to come."

Chloe is speechless. She has tears blurring her vision. "Listen to me, it doesn't matter if you did or didn't ask me to come, I don't mind. I would never find it uncomfortable, Becs. You know, I used to be jealous when Jesse told me he's known you since freshmen year of high school, I still am jealous. But I'm glad her was there to help and take care of you. Don't ever say you're overacting when you've gone through so much. You know, I felt so special when you told me that you talked about me to your mom. Hope it's nothing embarrassing." Chloe jokes. "I know your mom isn't with us physically, but I know for a fact that everyday she's watching over you, and she's beyond proud of you. Your dad - he doesn't deserve to have a daughter like you. You're amazing, and talented, and beautiful. I could go on forever about you. He may not have been there when you were younger. But if he isn't there, remember that I'm always here. I will never leave you at hard times or ever. I hope you see that Beca Mitchell, because whether or not you like it, you're stuck with me for a very long time." Beca smiles, choking back a sob. The girl hold's the redhead's face in her hands and pulls her in for a passionate kiss.

When air becomes necessary, "Chlo?" Beca whispers looking into the girl's eyes. "Yeah, Becs."

"I love you." Beca breaths out. Chloe has a growing smile on her face as a tear falls from her eye. She kisses Beca again. "I love you too. Never forget that."
