Chapter 9

The two new guys hit it off with Paige better than most of her siblings. She kept commenting and asking how they dropped the house on that Cyclops. Will kept saying he didn't do anything, and they were already annoying. I was just ready to get back to camp.

"I'm calling you Billy now." Logan prodded.

"That's why I didn't want anyone calling me that." Will explained. "And if you do you will lose your balls in the middle of the night."

The little ginger girl never introduced herself; she didn't even talk this whole time. She just sat in the corner near me since I looked the less threatening. I didn't have goat feet or smell like B.O. and mold.

Paige kept prodding, "So who had the idea? Or was it just an accident?"

"It was my idea," Logan admitted raising his hand trying to keep his head straight at the same time. "I saw it on TV." He held his head and leaned against the wall of the chariot. "I'm seriously losing a lot of blood."

He rested his head against the chariot. Paige gripped his curly hair and shook him. "No sleep you could have a concussion." She pried one of his eyes open and looked in it. "Patrick give me your phone." She demanded.

It was an IPod but I wasn't in the mood to correct her. I put the reigns in one hand and grabbed my iPod and threw it to her. She shined it in his eye to check if it dilated. She threw it back and I figured by her interest he had something wrong.

"Who's the square?" Logan slurred. "You half animal too?"

Paige answered for me. "Us two don't have animal parts or powers. Some people can do things that will blow your mind, some can shoot lightning from their fingers, others can fly, and some of Patrick's sisters can make you do anything with word."

"So which one's Patrick, there's like three people up there." The blood lose must be getting to him.

"The one in the middle buddy." Will said as he patted Logan on the shoulder.

"I'm gonna play Angry Birds on his IPod then."

I dropped the reigns and padded my pockets. There were empty down to the lint at the bottom.

Logan made a gagging sound. "What is this?" He began to name of my songs. "Diamonds, Can't Stop, Wake Me Up? What's wrong with you?"

"There not that bad." I pleaded.

Logan laughed, "Surely you jest."

"There were only forty-nine cents on ITunes." I explained.

"You don't pay for music. There are like seven and a half billion sights that have free music downloads."

"I thought piracy was stealing?"

"You sound like those commercials around 2000." He joked.

I looked back to the landscape ahead. I saw the big hill and our big pine tree out front. The strawberry patch was a rolled patch of ground. "We're here."

"And this is that place you were talking about. The place with the magic brownies." Logan stated. He crossed his fingers and looked up. "Please be my version of magic brownies."

Paige punched Logan in the arm. "They heal you, there like healing potions in video games." She explained.

"And you didn't bring any?" Logan argued. "Just, you know, incase!"

"I'll get you some in the infirmary." She looked towards me. "You and will show her to Hermes cabin."

As we touched down in the stables the Pegasi new the routine. The second I unlatched there reigns they went into the stables. Paige helped Logan to the Big House, while he spat something about why he got into a chariot with a random stranger.

Will and I walked her over to the big rough looking cabin. As we approached I could hear yelling and screaming like someone was dying. The door was propped open with an 'Xbox On'. The whole place smelt like junk and crap. There were four TV's at the end of the room and each one had four greasy Hermes kids at each. Money was in the hands of everyone who wasn't playing and screaming for their team.

"It smells like pizza sauce and ball sweat." Sonny gagged. "I'm staying here?"

"Until you get claimed, sadly." I insured.

A final cheer came when the four at the far right stood in victory. Every one exchanged bets while the four victors took the pot. The twelve loser kept calling hacks while they attacked each other about how they did something wrong.

The Satyr walked forward and grabbed a kid on the shoulder who was in the back yelling. He had shaggy dark brown hair and a black shirt with blue jeans. He looked back at Will I saw he had light blue eyes and a sharp slanted nose. He stood up revealing that he was about half a head taller than me. He turned around revealing his shirt that read 'This Way Up' that was upside down with an arrow pointing down. He began to walk towards us with open arms.

"So you're the new girl." He said. "I'm Brock; I'll get you a spare bed."

"We got one more, he's in the Infirmary." Will added. "You should've seen it, dropped a three story building on a Cyclops."

"You help?"

"Hardly," Will began to tell the story and gesture like crazy. "Gets slammed into a pillar made it crumble, pisses of the big guy makes him smash into all the others." He pretended to seeing and axe. "We get out he's still in there as the place goes down." He finished. "Him and Paige pick us up."

"What's more amazing, the kid killing the Cyclops or Patrick getting that close to Paige." He teased.

"Ha-ha," I mocked dryly.

"K, Girly, I'll clear a bed for you. Then I'll I show you around tomorrow." Brock flirted. "You can stay here 'til curfew and tell how it went." He said while elbowing me in the shoulder."

The idea wasn't half bad and these guys were that bad. "I would but my sister will wanna hear how it went."

"Invite 'em here. More the merrier." He always wanted them over, but the only one who came over was Jessica.

I was gonna get the question a lot so I walked back to the colorful cabin. The room was filled with girls whispering about me and Paige. I went to my bed and explained my disappointment.
