Dumbledore's mind raced as he comprehended what the brief letter in his hands meant.

He didn't bother trying to riddle out who the letter was from. One brief thought crossed his mind of it being a trap, but that quickly disappeared. He didn't care if it was a trap, he would go alone. He would go if it meant there was one shred of hope that he could get to Harry. He quickly retrieved his wand and was gone quicker than it took to read the short note.

…...

Voldemort moved swiftly though the dark corridors of the Ministry. By his side a confused Harry Potter was walking just as swiftly, the binds of a magical cord making sure he wasn't more than a step behind. Their bodies moved silently, almost invisible due to a powerful enchantment.

Harry couldn't help but be impressed at the magic Voldemort was capable of. Even though he wasn't a very experienced wizard, Harry could definitely feel the amount of magic Voledmort was performing as they walked. Silently and effortlessly cutting through any wards as if they weren't there.

They walked up stairs, and through so many different doors that Harry was starting to feel dizzy. They finally reached a room that made Harry's eyes open in wonder. It was a vast room with row upon row of shelves containing glowing orbs of different sizes. The rows seemed to go on endlessly, or at least as far as Harry could see.

Voldemort slowed his pace to a brisk walk, his eyes scanning the orbs, obviously searching for something.

Voldemort tried to focus on recalling the directions to the prophecy's location that one of his followers had given him. But his senses were well aware of the young man next to him, being drawn by an invisible magical rope so that their bodies were nearly touching.

His mind become aroused as he childishly considered what it would be like to crush his lips to those of the boys. His eyes became glazed as his thoughts become increasingly focused on things besides what his current task was, until he finally came to a stop, his eyes scanning the medium sized glowing orb that he nearly missed.

Harry came to a stop as well, almost bumping into the dark lord. He stepped slightly to the right to get a better look at the reason for their sudden stop.. His eyes barely had time to register the name'Harry James Potter'written below the orb in eloquent letters before Voledmort suddenly turned around, so fast that Harry almost lost his footing at the shock of it.

Voldemorts hand wrapped around Harry's arm in a tight grip, his eyes boring into him with lust. He slowly forced Harry's arm towards the glowing orb until his hand was touching it.

"Take it, Harry..." He said in Parseltongue. His voice low and commanding.

Harry looked back into the red eyes of his enemy and then to the glowing orb that he was touching.

"Well I guess I don't have that much of a choice"He thought with hopelessness.

Just as Harry's fingers rapped around the glowing orb, pulling it towards him. Voldemort yanked his arm back and ripped the orb from Harry's grasp. He pocketed the orb swiftly then took his now free hands and roughly slammed the teens body against the shelves, his other hand harshly grabbing the locks of raven hair and yanked his head back in an almost painful way. His head moved so close to the boys neck that it was almost pressed against it. Harry let out a shocked whimper as he felt Voldemorts hot breath on his skin. Voldemort closed his eyes and breathed in Harry's scent, his eyes closing in the pleasurable sensation. The shiver that came over Harry made Voldemort push even closer.

Voldemorts advances where stopped as fast as they had started when they were both suddenly thrown apart by an unknown force. Their bodies colliding with the floor several feet apart. Voldemort quickly got over his shock and was on his feet within seconds, eyes now on the source of the magic, his wand drawn swiftly a dangerous expression on his face.

Dumbledore didn't bother to speak to the other, his face flushed with a rare furry. Voldemort didn't hesitate for a second more before shooting the killing curse straight at the older mans' face. Dumbledore moved swiftly out of the way, his wand emitting a huge cloud of blue smoke that covered the whole area. Voldemorts vision was blurred for a moment before the cloud of smoke was blown away by his wand.

His eyes darted frantically around the room, ready to aim another lethal curse at his opponent...but then..

He realized he was alone.
