AN: Hi there! Thank you to everyone that has reviewed and favorited! You guys give me butterflies in my tummy ^.^ Keep reading!
Morning.
Getting up was the last thing I wanted to do.
Staying in bed all day and wasting away seemed like a perfectly reasonable course of action (or non-action) at the time.
My head was in the process of blowing up it seemed like, and my body was sore. I had to go use the restroom but even that seemed to be too much for me at the moment. Snuggling up in my bed a little more, I thought about last night.
…
…
…
… Holy shit…
I felt my body tense up as I thought back to everything that happened.
Realization dawned on me and my eyes flew open forgetting all about the headache for the moment.
I got fucked up!
I had been planning on getting drunk, just not that drunk. I was having a bit of a hard time recollecting last night. Bits and snippets of it came to me, little by little. I thought long and hard about the events of last night.
I remembered Sadao (or was it Tadao? Misao? Shoot.) and talking to him for a while. Not really quite sure for how long. I also remember deciding to come back home after a couple of drinks and that was it. The events of the night were a bit fuzzy, but I remember walking home perfectly fine. Maybe the fresh air cleared my mind for a bit? Other than that I don't remember that much.
Definitely don't remember getting naked.
Were my thoughts as I sat up on my bed. I turned to the side and saw how my clothes trailed from the stairs to my bed. Must have gotten hot.
My head felt like it was about to split open and my body was sore.
That's a strange place to be sore. I thought to myself as I got up to go use the restroom. Must have fallen hard on my butt on the way home. I didn't remember falling, but considering the way I was feeling and how much alchohol I was pretty sure I had to drink, I figured it would be reasonable to assume I ate shit at some point in the night. Or points, whatever.
Without thinking more about it I got up and ran to the restroom. My bladder felt like it was about to explode.

I pretty much died that day. The hangover was horrible. It was one of those that have you swearing to Kami Almighty never to drink again in your life, just take the hangover away.
I promise to walk on the straight and narrow for the rest of my life…
…
Yup, that was me the entire day.
The following day was my day off so I was able to further recuperate from the Mother of All Hangovers.
By the time I went back to work I was feeling like a human once more and felt like I had served enough penance to last me this lifetime and part of the next for surviving. Which meant I would be okay if I drank alcohol in the future because I had already made up for it. Kami works in mysterious ways.
Things ran as smoothly as they did before and I fell back into my usual routine once more. After a couple of days though, things began to take a turn for the weird.
Hiroshi had started to actively seek me out, not only while at work, but outside of it as well. Now, just a couple of months ago I would've been thrilled by this, but considering our last (and pretty much first) interaction, I felt highly uncomfortable. I thought I had been over-exaggerating at first, but when he showed up at the movie theater to watch "Shinobi Love" at the exact time I did and requested a seat next to mine, well, it got me thinking about all of the other random places I had been "running into" him lately. He had also picked up a habit of always looking around like the Namahage would pop out at any second. So after a couple more "running ins" I decided to actively avoid him.
A couple of days after my bar run, word on the street was him and his girlfriend had broken up for good. Girls had, once again, flocked to him but to everyone's surprise, not one of them had come out the winner. Things with him were definitely weird so I was going to try my best to stay as far away from that can of worms as possible.

Three weeks later.
"NANA!"
Was the only warning I got before I was glomped by my over-enthusiastic friend. Aiko, was the very definition of cute. Her short brown hair, wide blue eyes and short stature made her look like a little fairy. Her mother took care of me shortly after my parent's death and after our first meeting, we were inseparable. She was a very popular girl. Men loved her and once Aiko learned how attractive she was to them, she began to take advantage of it. No handsome trader/merchant/shinobi passed by Kimura without Aiko's notice.
"Hi Kako." I responded while I tried to straighten myself up with her still clinging to me. Kako was the nickname I had given her back when we first met and now, over a decade later, it had stuck and pretty much everyone we knew called her that.
"What were you doing at a bar without me?! You never want go when I invite you and now I come back from vacation and I hear my Nana was out and about and flirting! You better not be cheating on me!" She tells me dramatically while finally letting go.
"First of all, welcome back!" I say as I give her a quick hug around her shoulders. She shrieks and hugs me back laughing. "Second of all, you know I would never cheat on you. You're my one and only." I tell her as I step back from our little reunion hug. "And third, who told you that?"
"I have my ways Nana, just know I always have eyes on you." She tells me while looking at me dead in the eyes and changing to a serious demeanor. All I could do was roll my eyes at her answer.
"You're so retarded." I replied as I began to walk away. I had been on my way to buy groceries for dinner, I was starving and it was starting to get late. My stomach was pretty much roaring for sustenance at this point. Aiko, turned and ran a little to catch up to me.
"But seriously, what were you doing there?" She asked going back to her normal self.
"Well, it kind of started with Hiroshi-"
"Hiroshi?! What does that idiot have anything to do with it? What did he do?!" Aiko pretty much yelled as she cut me off. Aiko was not a fan of Hiroshi. Ever since we were kids there had always been some sort of animosity on Aiko's part towards him. I never really understood why and when I would ask her about it, her responses were usually something like we just don't click or something about him is off. After a while I just dropped it and figured, it is what it is.
"Relax, woman. It's a long story, are you coming to dinner at my place? This may take a while. A lot of things have happened." I told her as we walked into the store.
"You bet your ass I am. I can't believe I leave on a vacation and come back to find out my baby has grown into a woman, going to bars and getting men." She said as she wiped fake tears from her eyes.
"I didn't get any men you idiot. And to be fair, you were gone for almost two months. That's not even a vacation anymore."
"Aawww you missed me!" She said as she lunged herself at me again. All I could do was laugh and continue walking with her attached to me as I began telling her everything that happened since she had been gone. From Hiroshi in the library, to my attempted kidnapping, getting my ass handed to me and my savior, having my nose re-set and having to hide my face for days because I looked like I ate little children for breakfast. I left nothing out. I told her about Hiroshi's talk and the resulting trip to the bar and the odd way he had been acting lately. I talked and talked, while Aiko listened to every word I said without any interruptions.
We were done eating dinner and sitting in my living room by the time I finished telling her everything. The sun had set a long time ago, so Aiko decided to spend the night at my house.
It was just like when we were younger. Staying up late, catching up, joking around. I could tell Aiko was having a bit of a hard time believing me. I couldn't blame her though, I almost couldn't believe it myself. But even she reasoned I had nothing to gain from making up such a random story. After showing her my scar, she went into full mother-hen mode and checked every inch of my body to make sure there was nothing else. Once satisfied, her interrogation began. One concentrated on the Mysterious Savior.
"So who was that man?" she asked, peering at me with a weird look in her eyes.
"Don't know. Didn't really get a chance to ask for his name since you know, there were people trying to kill us and stuff." I answered with a small shrug of my shoulders.
"And he didn't look for you after? Not even to make sure you were okay?"
"I don't even know if he lived to be honest," I told her, feeling my shame come back tenfold and looking away from her. "For all I know, he died trying to help me out." I scratched my nose trying to avoid eye contact.
"If he was able to get away from, what? Four other people? And go to your rescue again, I'm sure he could handle one guy, even if he was all muscles. Besides, if he did die someone would've found his body already by now," she said very matter of fact.
I hadn't thought of that.
"True. But still, I feel bad."
"Don't. If he really was a Shinobi like you think he may have been, then his duty was to protect you. If anything, he was doing his job."
"Thanks. That makes me feel so much better," I told her giving her a deadpan look.
"You're welcome. Now, was he cute?" She crossed her arms and looked at me seriously. I had to roll my eyes at her. Of course she would ask that, if anything, I should've been surprised it took her this long to bring that up.
"I was a bit preoccupied to really see what he was working with." I told her sarcastically.
"Bullshit." Her gaze got a bit intense. "He was hot wasn't he?"
"Well… I couldn't really see his face really well… but what I did see looked good." I told her reluctantly.
"Ugh! Of course!" Aiko said throwing herself on the couch face down dramatically. "Nothing ever happens in Kimura, and the one time I'm gone, some super hot shinobi-man shows up and saves the day!"
I could only gape at her as I replied, "really? I could've died, been sold into the black market or used as a prostitue, and you're upset over the fact you didn't get to see a possibly handsome man?!"
"You're fine though!" She said, "thanks to the handsome Shinobi! Nothing but a tiny scar on you!"
This bitch.
"I don't even know why you're a female. You obviously should've been a dude with how much you think of the opposite sex." I told her shaking my head.
"The body wants, what the body wants," was her sagely response. "And, what about Baka-roshi?" She asked turning serious once more.
"I have no clue. He's just been acting weird for a while now…" And so we spent the better part of the night trying to figure out what had crawled up Hiroshi's pants, and how long it would take for my savior to return and declare his undying love for me (Kako of course).
At that time, never in my wildest dreams would I have ever believed I would see him again. I never would've imagined that two months after this night, he would once again appear in my life and this time, he wasn't going to let me out of his sight. Even if it meant having to break a couple of rules.
AN: Mwahahahahahahahahahahahaha! That's right! She doesn't remember! *insert more evil laughter!* Sasuke thinks he's slick, but he's gonna learn he's not as smart as he thinks he is, you can't just Sharingan your way out of everything *rollseyes*. Also, I know next to nothing about Japanese folklore so I literally googled "Japanese version of the boogeyman" and the Namahage appeared. So yeah, just going off of that. Drop a review and let me know what you think! Also, if anybody knows of any good SasukexOC or NarutoxOC fanfics let me know, or just any good OC/SI stories! I love me some OC/SI. Also, please tell me if anything was unclear, grammar mistakes or if anything needs to be improved on, I always appreciate constructive criticism :) See you next time!
