For some odd reasons Nikita was happy to be at school today. She knew her outfit was against the school's dress codes on so many levels. Heck she'd risk getting in detention for that today. She was just ruthless and careless right now that she hadn't even realized how many jaws dropped when she entered the school's building.

Ignoring everyone around her who were whispering and looking at her in the hallways, she went to her locker and grabbed her binders.

She was hoping to see Michael there but it seemed like he had already took his binders from her locker.

They're this mad at each other...

It made Nikita sad for a split second but she quickly put on a brave face. This year's her year to be free and expressive and she's gonna do that and be that with or without Michael.

The school bell ring for homeroom at eight o'clock as usual. Nikita was the last one to walk in homeroom and when she did she could've sworn nobody was paying attention to the announcement or standing up for the pledge alliance.

Was she really attracting that much attention?

She frowned as she walked towards her desk without saying anything.

As the second bell ring to signal the end of homeroom and start of next period, Nikita's homeroom teacher told her to stay a minute. She already knew what he was going to say but quite frankly she didn't care.

"Mears-Udinov..." Mr. Gosling sighed.

Nikita shyly bit her lips as chuckled. "I'm gonna be late for next period." She said.

"You know your outfit goes against the school's dress code, right?" Mr. Gosling asked.

Nikita nodded. "Yes I do and I gotta go."

She bolted out of the classroom down the hall to her physics class next period.

Michael had just walked in his English class when he heard the whispers around him. He didn't mind it at first but when he heard Nikita's name it automatically got his interest.

Everyone was talking about how she's gone from extremely popular to extremely popular and slutty.

He was fuming! If Nikita did some repulsive and ruthless because of their argument yesterday he was going to blame himself for the rest of his life.

He knows it's only been a day but he already misses her like hell. He blames himself for how their relationship is right now and he isn't sure he can handle more guilt if she did something like sleep with some strange guy to get back at him. He wouldn't be able to behold that.

He remained calm. He didn't know the facts yet. Besides, in this school, stupid rumors spread all the time. He'd have to see for himself.

After the longest forty-five minutes of block B Michael just wanted to find Nikita and knock some sense into. Hearing the most disgusting kids in his English class who only talk about sex say how much they'd like to bang his best friend in many different positions was enough to ruin his whole day!

He went to the third floor for his next period class and there Cassandra was waiting for him at her locker. He wasn't in the mood to tease or kiss her when he opened her locker and grabbed his binder.

"What's wrong?" Cassandra asked when she didn't get a playful kiss.

"Nothing!" Michael replied angrily.

"Did something happen last period?" She asked again.

"Nothing happened. I'm fine." Michael said now a little bit annoyed.

"Ok, god! I was just asking!" Cassandra said.

Michael rolled his eyes and sighed. "Thank you for your concern but I'm fine ok?" He tried with a fake cheery tone.

He was about to soothe the tension by kissing Cassandra when a redheaded familiar figure appeared down the hall.

He stopped anything remotely physical he was about to do as he scrutinized with an aghast look in his eyes and jaw dropping, drooling over the girl walking towards him.

"Hn," The sound absentmindedly escaped his lips and he blinked to make sure he wasn't dreaming.

"Hello!" Cassandra yelled.

Michael didn't respond as he watched Nikita get closer and closer.

Cassandra had turned around to see what... rather who was taking so much of his attention.

Her jaw dropped too and finally Nikita came to a stop right next to them with a smile playing across her lips. She was enjoying that priceless expression Michael had on his face right now.

"You guys might wanna close your mouths or you'll catch flies." She teased.

Michael blinked and stuttered as he finally snapped out of it.

"Hello Michael." Nikita said nonchalantly.

"Hi, um, yeah, hello Nikita." Michael incessantly haltered. "Cassandra meet Nikita, Nikita meet my friend, Cassandra."

Nikita cocked her head. The fuck was he doing?

"I know who you are." She said with a look full of disdain.

"Yep." Cassandra said awkwardly as Nikita looked at her up and down with a roll of her eyes. She's not exactly sure why Nikita doesn't like her but whatever.

"Um, Nikita can we talk?" Michael finally broke the suddenly quiet silence that grew between the three of them in the crowded hallway.

"I don't think we have anything to talk about." Nikita replied. She swallowed hard and tried to keep her emotions in check.

"I'll see you around." She said.

"Nikita-"

Michael didn't even get a chance to stop her. He blinked and it seemed like she had vanished down the hall.

He looked back at Cassandra who had a very angry look on her face.

"What?" Michael asked.

"Your friend?" Cassandra frowned. "Your fucking friend?" She repeated more fumingly.

"You are my friend." Michael said as he shut the locker.

By the time it was lunch time, Nikita had already gotten countless text messages from Michael. She ignored all of them. When she needed him last night or the least know that he valued their relationship, he wasn't there. He didn't text, he didn't call and now he wants to talk.

He might have had it easy then with the old Nikita but not now. Old Nikita is gone. This is the new Nikita and she's careless, ruthless, and bitter.

She valued that fourteen year relationship and Michael just took that away from her.

No matter how much she loves this guy, she just can't handle lies. He knew that but he still chose to lie to her and now her new behavior and attitude is getting his attention.

Too bad!

Nikita was on her way down to second lunch when she bumped into a guy at the staircase. Her bag fell and most of her things spilled.

"Shit!" She mumbled.

"I'm really sorry."

'British accent... Holy shit he has a British accent!' Nikita thought.

She begin to raise her head as the guy kneeled down to help her.

"It's ok." Nikita replied

It wasn't the only thing Nikita noticed when her eyes locked with his green ones. She felt some strange weird feeling but at the same time it felt good. He was pretty hot, his eyes were the same color as Michael's, but his were lighter. And not quite as mysterious as Michael's are.

He handed Nikita her mascara and she politely took it from him and bit her lips.

"I'm Daniel." He said. "Daniel Monroe. And I'm new here."

'And you also have a sexy accent...' Nikita thought again.

She swallowed hard as she stared at his pink lips.

"I'm Nikita." She shook his hand. "Welcome to GGHS."

They both got up and smiled at each other.

"Thank you." Daniel smiled.

His smile was real and sweet. Something about him still gave Nikita a weird feeling but it was exactly what she needed. It's that same weird feeling she's missed from Michael when he was too busy lying to her.

"Well it seems like you're managing fine with your schedule for a newbie." Nikita teased.

"Not really." Daniel smirked.

It was silent for just a few seconds and it was also totally awkward.

"Has anyone ever told you how beautiful you look, Nikita?" Daniel broke the silence and asked.

Nikita smiled shyly. "I've gotten the compliment a few times." She said. "But never by a guy with a sexy British accent."

Daniel chuckled and it had been a long time since Nikita's heard something so pure.

"Would you like to have lunch with me, Nikita?" He asked.

Nikita frowned.

"I... I know it's sudden but I technically just spilled every girly content in your bag, the least I could do is make it up to you." Daniel clarified.

Nikita chuckled. His excuse sounded so lame and she liked that.

"How's second lunch working out for you?" She asked.

What were the coincidences? Daniel was heading to second lunch too.

"Perfect." He smiled.

Nikita walked in the cafeteria with Daniel and automatically spotted Alex at a table talking to some strange kid. She doesn't normally sit with Alex at lunch but she felt like it today.

She walked over the table after getting lunch and sat down.

"Who's this?" Alex mouthed.

Nikita smiled.

"This is Daniel. He's new here." Nikita introduced.

"Hello."

'Uh, British accent!' Alex almost squealed.

Funny how it's the first thing people notice.

"Well this is Sean," Alex said as she patted his back. "Sean this is my sister, Nikita and her new friend, Daniel."

"Nice meeting you guys." Sean said.

"Likewise."

Lunch was okay. Not the best food in the entire world but it's consumable and healthy.

Nikita had been gaining a little more information about her new British friend, he seemed interesting enough. His great grandfather was the prince of a small village in England back in the 1890s, which meant he's wealthy. He's now a senior here and he's cute. He and Sean seemed to be getting along pretty well so maybe they can be buddies. Who knows? Somehow Nikita's plans were falling together by themselves perfectly.

Somewhere in between the conversations and the laughters in the cafeteria, someone decided to put on a show.

Cassandra hadn't known Nikita had the same lunch but when she saw her, she thought maybe she could get away with embarrassing her.

She didn't like the way Nikita looked at her this morning by her locker and she certainly didn't like how Michael was drooling over her.

Nikita's a hot girl and it's a known fact to the whole entire school.

She just hates Nikita's guts and for whatever reason she chose to get the school's microphone and call Nikita a slut publicly and loudly got everyone's attention in the cafeteria.

The whole entire room with hundreds of students grew quiet as a whisper.

"Yes! She's a slut!" Cassandra repeated.

Nikita chuckled. She's a drama queen and what better way to put gas into fire? So Michael's little girlfriend wants to call her a slut in front of half the school that's fine. It doesn't bother her much because she knows who she is. Matter of fact, it amuses her a lot.

"She's walking around the school pretending she's the queen."

Right there Cassandra was stopped before she even got the chance to begin.

Nikita climbed on top of one of the table in the cafeteria and laughed.

"Listen, here Barbie," She said snapping her fingers.

Everyone had their eyes on her now.

"First of all I'm not pretending to be the queen here. I AM THE QUEEN here so get your facts right." She said.

"Uhhhhh!"

"Second, if you look up the definition of slut, I'm pretty sure the word dignity isn't mentioned and thank The Lord I have plenty of that." She mocked. "The real definition of slut is someone who can fuck the whole football team in this school, even the guy that has no shot at ever getting laid and everyone knows it." She continued. "Now I don't mean to offend anybody here but we all know I'm not." Nikita said as she stepped off the table and begin to walk towards Cassandra.

"What I am is popular, something I'm sure you're dying to feel and you're so desperate you had to go after my best friend." Nikita said.

"Ohhhh!"

"Yes everyone! That's right! An attention seeker is calling me a slut." Nikita said. "What a freaking shame?" She laughed. "But I mean seriously, you're that desperate."

The bell rang, nobody moved.

"You stay the hell away from my boyfriend!" Cassandra said.

"Oh you mean that same boyfriend that introduced you as a friend earlier?" Nikita mocked. "That's just sad!"

"You're nothing!" Cassandra yelled. "You think you're all that? You're nothing but air and you'll never be able to get a man as good as mine!"

Nikita smiled and bit her lips. If she was defenseless that would be public embarrassment. Cassandra's right, she's got Michael and she has nobody. Point taken. Nobody cares.

"Oh, I'm sorry Barbie, I was too busy being flawless I didn't hear you talk." Nikita flipped her red hair.

"Ohhhhh!"

Nikita stepped closer and grabbed the microphone from Cassandra.

"By the way," She whispered. "If I wanted that boyfriend of yours, I can have him anytime I want because guess what?" She said. "He was my best friend for fourteen years. Something you'll never know about because you probably never had one or even valued what's called a lifetime friendship. Therefore, you can have my left overs."

Tears ran down Cassandra's cheek. This was supposed to be the other way around! Nikita's the one who was supposed to be crying and leaving.

"I'm sorry, did I make you cry?" Nikita laughed. "Aww, poor girl! Do you need some tissue?"

Technically this would come across as bullying but Nikita's not the one who started this whole thing. She just gave it an end. That's all she did. She's not the bad guy here.

Alex who had been watching the whole thing like everyone else was speechless! Her sister is literally the most badass chick she knows and she's so proud that Nikita stood up for herself.

Today had forever changed everything about this school. This school hasn't have rivalries and drama in such a long time! This is just the start to everything.
