"An Angel's Reading"
The next day the group was sitting in the forest, relaxing as they also sat down to decide their next move.
"Isn't it nice to have a moment of peace and quiet?" Bokomon asked.
"Let's have some fun and play charades." Neemon suggested.
"I thought you said fun." Bokomon quipped as three Tanemon popped out of the ground, shrieking gleefully.
"I've always wanted to try that thing where I'm trapped in an imaginary box." Neemon said as a Tanemon bounced over to him and he started playing with her.
"Oh, if only the box were real." Bokomon sighed.
"Oh, man. I really messed up." Tommy looked down sadly as he thought back to Zoe risking her Spirit to save him.
"Don't be sad." Daisuke poked his cheek making him look at her as she grinned to cheer him up.
"It's okay, Tommy, what happened wasn't your fault." Zoe smiled sadly at him.
"Well, the next time I see that guy, I'll get your Spirit back, even if I have to do it by myself." JP announced.
"Why would you want to do something like that?" Neemon bounced Tanemon in his hand.
"Based on your last encounter, I don't think that would be very wise." Bokomon stood up.
"So, what?" JP yelled smacking the ground making the three Digimon yelp and fall over, the Tanemon running off.
"It sure beats sitting around here doing nothing. She needs my help." JP said.
"I think he's showing off. Wonder why." Daisuke blinked innocently.
"You have a one-track mind, buddy. We can't just run out and fight. We have to get to the Forest Terminal." Takuya stood up.
"So, what? Then we just let him win? I can't just sit back and let Grumblemon run around with Zoe's Spirit." JP stood as well.
"It's okay, JP." Zoe sighed as she stared at her empty D-Tector as the Tanemon went over to, hoping to play.
"No, it's really not okay, Zoe. The Spirit of Wind is yours and you were destined to find it, so we're gonna get it back for you." JP interjected.
"Nice sentiment, but we have more important things to do than fight a losing battle." Koji scoffed as he leaned against a tree.
"What is your problem, Koji? You'd be going crazy if your Spirit was stolen." JP yelled as Koji scoffed at him.
"But hey, I understand if you're afraid. Even the great Koji has no chance against Grumblemon." JP taunted.
"What?" Koji demanded as he faced the heavyset male.
"Who cares if you have your Beast Spirit? You can't even control it." JP taunted.
"Hey, stop it." Tommy held his hands in front of Koji.
"Knock it off, JP." Takuya stepped in front of him.
"I guess I'm the only one who wants to help, Zoe." JP crossed his arms and turned away.
"You guys forget it. Let's just go to the Forest Terminal." Zoe insisted as she walked over wanting the arguments to end.
"Don't you start talking crazy too." JP said.
"All right, that's it. I've had enough. I think it's time to do something more productive than stand here and argue." Bokomon walked over.
The group looked at him, curious as to what he meant as the Tanemon bounced by them.
"Ah-hem. My friends, I believe the time has finally come." Bokomon cleared his throat.
"The time has come for what?" JP asked.
"What do ya mean?" Zoe stared at him.
"Time to show you the path of wisdom." Bokomon informed.
"Well, there's a change." Zoe quipped.
"Yeah, no kidding." JP muttered.
"Oh boy, here comes the headache." Daisuke sighed.
"Wisdom is a path which is not easily walked." Bokomon lectured as he began walking.
"You must think about every choice, consider every option and know where each step will lead." He said, then yelped as he slipped and fell on the ground.
The Tanemon giggled as they ran off as Bokomon pushed himself up.
"Oh, dear. It seems that wisdom has landed in a mud puddle." He said showing off the dirt coating his face.
(Later on…)
"So, what's your wise solution?" JP asked sounding bored.
"Fortune telling." Bokomon answered.
"Fortune telling?" The humans repeated in confusion.
They entered a town that was filled with tents that had Digimon all around, each one either going into the tents to have their fortunes told or buying charms and talismans for good luck.
"Shamanmon is the wisest Digimon of them all." Bokomon said.
"If I said that, you'd have said I was crazy." Neemon pointed out.
"You are crazy, but that's beside the point." Bokomon muttered.
"Step right up. Play squeeze the pudgy bear! Go away, kid, you bother me." A Dogmon said as he was with a Monzaemon and other Digimon.
"Wow, I've never had my fortune told before." Tommy glanced around.
"I had my palm red once. It took a week to get the paint off." Neemon said.
"That's not the same." Daisuke blinked at him.
Takuya grabbed her hands and hefted her up onto his shoulders, holding her waist as she clung to his goggles to not fall off.
"Come on, do you actually think any of these weirdoes can tell the future?" JP asked as a Vadermon came over to him.
"Oh, yes, round one. It's all so clear." Vadermon exclaimed as he grabbed the boy's arm.
"I don't really believe in any of this mumbo gumbo." JP pulled his arm away.
"There is a girl in your life who thinks you're quite special." Vadermon giggled.
"I'm, uh, special?" JP blushed.
"You know who I mean. You were meant for each other." Vadermon said.
"Really?" JP asked happily as he started giggling and hugging himself.
"JP, what are you doing?" Takuya asked as the group waited on him ten feet away.
"We're leaving now." Zoe sang impatiently.
JP nearly fell to the side, but got up and ran over, laughing nervously.
They passed by a tent that had a woman with short blonde hair and blue eyes dressed as what appeared to be a witch walk outside, looking over at the group.
"Oh, hello children." She greeted kindly as a black cat curled around her neck purring.
"Hey, what's your specialty?" Takuya asked.
"I can tell you your future. Would any of you like a go?" Witchmon asked the group.
"I do!" Daisuke raised her hand eagerly before anyone could protect or offer.
"Very well. Come in." Witchmon giggled as she lifted her tent flap and the group walked inside.
Takuya sat down in the chair with Daisuke in his lap as Witchmon sat across from them, looking into a crystal ball.
"Now, what would you like to see?" She asked.
"I don't know." Daisuke looked at her friends.
"Just anything good that shows up." Zoe said for her.
Witchmon nodded, then looked into the crystal ball as it shined and it showed off a white energy inside of it that made her gasp in awe.
"What is it?" Tommy asked.
"My, I see Daisuke Motomiya growing up into a beautiful young lady." Witchmon smiled.
"Huh? How did you know her name?" JP asked, but was shushed by the group who became interested.
"I see you surrounded by friends, human and Digimon of all ages." Witchmon announced as everyone hung onto her words.
"Oh, in your future, I see many new enemies, some old as well. But thankfully, through the power of friendship and love they will be defeated. Not only that, but I see enemies becoming friends. There will be some pain and fear in your future, but it will only serve to make you stronger." Witchmon predicted.
Suddenly, the white light was mixed with a blue one and they swirled together peacefully making her smile sweetly.
"Oh, and it seems there is a love in your future." Witchmon giggled as her blue eyes twinkled.
"A love?!" The group asked.
Takuya sounded protective while JP, Tommy and Koji were confused, Neemon was copying the others, Zoe and Bokomon were gushing and finally Daisuke was uncertain how to react.
"Yes, a handsome young man. He's a loner at heart and has been hurt in the past, but he is still pure and good. Do you want to know about your children?" Witchmon asked eagerly.
"No way!" Takuya snapped standing up.
"But the children! The beautiful, precious children." Bokomon wailed.
"But nothing. Daisuke's a child, practically a baby. She doesn't need to know this stuff." Takuya said placing the girl back on his shoulders.
"Not a baby!" Daisuke pouted.
"Besides, we need to get going anyway. We're supposed to see Shamanmon." Koji reminded.
"Ah, yes, right. Come on then." Bokomon cleared his throat.
"Thanks for the fortune telling." Daisuke waved at Witchmon who smiled.
"Wow, that was such a cool reading. I kinda wish I got one from her." Zoe said as the group walked out.
"Oh, please. It was probably all made up." Takuya scoffed as he placed Daisuke on his shoulders again.
"Actually, Witchmon is one of the few true psychics here. The chances of her predictions being accurate are very high." Bokomon said.
The youngest of the group laid her head on top of Takuya's, curious if her future would turn out the way Witchmon had predicted.
It made her a bit excited to see if it would.
"Sub-Zero Ice Punch"
For an hour now, the quartet floated along on the iceberg, finding that the water just got colder the further they went.
"Tai, I'm cold, I'm hungry and I wish we were on solid ground." Agumon whined.
"You're not the only one." Veemon moaned.
"It looks like you're about to get your wish, but next time, be careful what you wish for. You just might get it!" Tai yelled.
A huge island made of ice appeared in front of them and the group yelled as their smaller iceberg made contact with the island, shattering it.
Tai, Agumon, Daisuke and Veemon went flying off and yelled as they landed in the freezing cold snow.
"Okay, so Mom was right. I should have worn a sweater." Tai rubbed his arms as he stood up.
Daisuke spat the snow out of her mouth and was shivering while Veemon popped his head out of the snow bank next to her.
"I-I h-hate t-the c-c-cold." The dragon whimpered.
Mumbled yelling made them turn to see Agumon was still trapped in the snow, kicking his legs around.
"Take it easy Agumon, I'll pull you out." Tai said as he ran over and grabbed his ankles, pulling the lizard out along with the goggle head's clothing.
"Hey, look, I found my clothes. Except they're even too cool for me now." Tai said.
Veemon pulled out Daisuke's clothes that were thankfully not frozen and she took them from her dragon with a smile before she started dressing.
"Don't worry. I can give you the latest hot look." Agumon said.
He then shot out a blast of fire at Tai's shirt, melting the ice and it steamed.
"Hey, Agumon, that's smoking. Now can you hook up my pants?" Tai chuckled.
"That's not a good idea." Veemon muttered.
Agumon shot a fireball at Tai's shorts, but they caught on fire making the boy yelp and he fanned them, trying to put out the flames and they wound up badly burned.
"Oops, nuked them a little too long. But look on the bright side, Tai." Agumon said.
"What bright side?" Tai asked.
"You won't be cold anymore." Agumon sweat dropped.
"Idiots." Daisuke mumbled as she put her goggles around her neck once she was dressed and then tied her hair up.
Tai got dressed and then the group started walking around the island, finding a row of red mail boxes that were alone in the tundra.
"What? Mail boxes? Agumon, maybe people really lived here at one time." Tai said as he scouted the area with his telescope.
"I wish we could mail ourselves home, but it looks like the only way we'll reach land is if we take a really long, cold swim to Infinity Mountain. And I have a feeling that if the mountain is drifting farther and farther away, then our friends are too. They must all be out there on those other islands." Tai commented.
"Where will we end up if we just keep drifting around like this, Tai?" Agumon asked.
"Why would I know that?" Tai retorted.
"Because you're from another world, Tai. I've never left File Island." Agumon informed.
"Me either." Veemon shook his head.
"But guys, I've never left my world, either." Tai informed.
"Well, I guess it could be worst. There could be evil Digimon attacking us. It's just too quiet here." Agumon said.
The island then began to quake making the quartet stumble.
"You just had to say it." Daisuke grumbled.
Behind them there was a growling noise and they turned to the mail boxes to find a snowman Digimon who was glaring at them, his fists raised.
"It's Frigimon!" Veemon gasped.
"Frigimon is usually a friendly snowman. Don't be worried, Tai. He's a good Digimon." Agumon assured.
"Every time you guys say that, we get attacked." Daisuke reminded.
Frigimon was holding a large snowball the size of a boulder and threw it at the group who dived down the ice, sliding down as the snowball hit the area they once stood.
They slid right by Frigimon who was walking towards them but stopped and turned to them.
"Oh no, my belly's freezing." Agumon whined.
"This is a really bad night." Veemon grumbled.
"It's a black gear." Agumon gasped looking at Frigimon's back to see a black gear imbedded in it.
"The black gear's controlling him." Tai and Agumon exclaimed.
"No duh." Daisuke and Veemon retorted.
Frigimon ran at them to use Sub-Zero Ice Punch making the group move out of the way and the mail box they were in front of was hit by the fist becoming frozen solid.
"Hey, did you see that?" Agumon asked.
"Did I ever. That punch froze that mail box solid." Tai said.
"I guess I better heat things up." Agumon said as he shot out his flames at Frigimon who merely held his hands up to block the attack.
"He's a Champion, so he's stronger right now." Daisuke stated.
"Right and we're in a frozen waste land. Frigimon has the upper hand now." Veemon added.
"I really hope you have a back-up plan." Tai said as Frigimon ran at them again.
"Yeah, run!" Agumon yelled as the ducked away from the snow bear and ran away as another mailbox was frozen.
"If he touches us, we're gonna be ice cubes." Tai said.
"You're right and I'm so hungry, I don't have the strength to Digivolve." Agumon complained.
"Stop whining and start thinking." Daisuke scolded.
"Fine, run again!" Tai yelled grabbing the girl's hand and running off when Frigimon tried to punch them but wound up stumbling.
Veemon and Agumon screamed when Frigimon righted himself and went to chase after them as the two Rookies ran to catch up with their humans.
"Come back here and fight Frigimon!" Frigimon called.
"Uh oh." The quartet gasped as they found they were trapped at the ice wall.
"Going somewhere?" Frigimon laughed evilly.
"We're trapped like ice mice. There's nowhere else to run." Tai panted.
"I've got an idea, Tai. Pick me up and threw me at him. If I can land right on his back, I can vaporize that black gear with my Pepper Breath." Agumon suggested.
Tai tried to pick him up from under the arms but was struggling.
"I don't know if this is gonna work, dude. I can barely lift you, much less throw you, Tubbymon." Tai grunted.
"This has to work, Tai, it's our only chance." Agumon said.
"Here he comes again!" Veemon squeaked.
Tai fell to his back and slid under Frigimon's legs while Daisuke and Veemon rolled to the sides while the snow bear rammed into the mountain making the snow burry him.
"He really likes to burry himself in his work. All right, now's our shot. Roll up into a ball." Tai instructed.
"You mean like this?" Agumon asked crouching down and curling up.
"Yeah, now I'll show you why I'm my soccer team's best striker." Tai smiled.
"This better work or we're gonna be popsicles." Daisuke said.
Frigimon burst from the snow with a growl and turned to the group as Tai kicked Agumon like a soccer ball, sending him off to Frigimon and blasted flames at it.
He was thrown off when Frigimon ran around, crying in pain as the gear was knocked out and shattered.
"Hey, it worked." Veemon smiled.
"What do ya know? He's not a lost cause after all." Daisuke smirked.
Tai and Agumon cheered as they ran over to Frigimon who rubbed his head while Veemon and Daisuke walked over.
"What am I doing laying here? What happened?" Frigimon asked turning to the group.
"A black gear was on you." Veemon said.
"And you almost turned us into ice sculptures." Agumon added on.
"Oh, I'm so sorry. I just hate when I do that. But thank you for destroying the gear. I'm glad you're all right." Frigimon bowed his head gratefully.
"Is anyone else here? Some more kids like us?" Tai asked.
"Hmm. Come to think of it, I did see another boy like you. He was with a Gabumon. They fell onto that island over there." Frigimon pointed out to sea.
"You saw Gabumon?" Agumon asked.
"And Matt. Perfect. Matt would land that far away. It's too cold to swim and we're drifting at 100 miles per year." Tai complained.
"You're a weird kid, but since you got that black gear out of my aching back, I'll help you get across the water." Frigimon offered.
"Wow, really?" Veemon smiled.
"Thanks, but how are you going to do that?" Daisuke questioned.
"Like this." Frigimon ran over to the edge of the island and used Sub-Zero Ice punch to make a path of ice that stretched out ten feet towards the water.
"Hey, it's an ice bridge. Now we can walk to the island. I hope your punches don't, uh, freeze up." Tai joked.
"Don't worry. As long as it's cold, I'm full of punch. Yeah, baby." Frigimon said making the girl and dragon giggle.
"What if the ice breaks while we're out there? We could be Seadramon bait." Agumon asked looking nervous.
Frigimon then started jumping on the ice making the group nervous as the ice was tested.
"All right, all right. We get it. Quit shaking up the whole island. Man, does everybody in the Digital World have to be so noisy? Come on, let's start walking." Tai said.
The group of five then started walking along the ice, going on for miles and the group started to grow tired, except for Frigimon and Daisuke.
"Hey, Dad, are we there yet?" Frigimon asked in a mocking tone.
"What?" Agumon looked at him in confusion.
"Sorry, I just had to say that." Frigimon chuckled as he made the ice bridge longer.
"Man, that island's as far away as ever. Let's take five you guys and then we'll keep going." Tai suggested as the quartet sat down to rest.
"The island's still moving. If we stop, we may not be able to catch up with it." Frigimon informed.
"Agumon, if you could fly like Birdramon, we'd be there already." Tai sighed.
"Well, I can't." Agumon turned from him and crossed his arms with an upturned snout.
"Birdramon probably can't fly in the cold anyway. No one toasts my clothes like you. Come on." Tai stood up and grinned at him, showing off his teeth.
"No way." Agumon turned away.
"Oh, I hate to see friends fight. I'll carry you both across like this." Frigimon said as he picked the two males up and set them on his shoulders.
Next, he lifted Veemon and Daisuke up onto his head where they sat, holding onto his ears to not fall off.
"There, nice and comfy?" Frigimon asked.
"Yep, thanks." Daisuke smiled down at him.
"Yeah, comfy as a mackerel on ice, but at least we'll be nice and fresh when we get there." Tai said as the top half of his face was blue.
"Hey, did I ever tell ya about the party I went to that the Numemon crashed?" Frigimon asked as he started walking.
"Heh. Now that's a party no one will forget." He chuckled.
All night long Frigimon walked across the bridge getting closer to the island, the two humans and their partners falling asleep.
Hours later, the sun finally raised casting light and warmth around them as Frigimon finally stepped foot on the island.
"This one Numemon kept following my sister, huh, but I handled it. A little Sub-Zero Ice punch show and tell. Hey wake up. We're here." He announced making the group open their eyes and look around.
"Hurray!" The group cheered as they jumped down to the ground.
"I wonder where Gabumon and Matt landed." Tai mused as he used his telescope to look around.
"Hmm, right in the middle I think. So, they must be up there somewhere. Right in that forest." Frigimon pointed to the cliff above them.
"Sure, let's go for a hike. Then after that we'll hike and then we can hike some more. Sheesh." Tai complained as they started walking.
"If you don't like walking then why did you go to camp?" Daisuke asked growing annoyed.
"Hey, there's a bed." Agumon pointed.
Over near a group of pine trees was a bed that was partially covered in snow from a storm that happened last night on the island.
"Matt must be around here somewhere. Matt! Matt, can you hear me, Matt!" Tai ran forward and yelled.
"Oh, Gabumon!" Agumon sang.
"Gabumon, come out come out wherever you are!" Veemon cupped his hands around his mouth and called.
"Matt, where are you?" Daisuke called as she looked around.
"Matt, I'm here! Matt!" Tai yelled as his voice echoed.
"Gabumon!"
"Matt are you out there?"
"Matt!"
"Gabumon!"
The group continued walking as they cried out their friends' names, searching for them curiously, hoping they weren't hurt.
"Matt, Gabumon!" Tai called.
"Come on guys, answer us!" Daisuke yelled.
Around the corner of some trees they found a cave and out of it came the blonde they were searching for along with his canine companion.
"Matt!" Tai called.
"Hey!" Agumon said.
"You're safe." Daisuke smiled.
"You had us worried." Veemon grinned.
"Tai, Daisuke." Matt greeted as he ran over.
The two boys clasped hands in greeting while the three Digimon held hands, laughing, then Matt patted Daisuke's head.
"I thought we'd never find you guys. It sure is lucky that we met up with Frigimon." Tai smiled.
"Frosty the Snowmon here?" Matt asked looking at the Champion.
"Yep, this is him. He happened to see you two fall on this island and then he got us here in no time." Tai informed.
"The Sub-Zero Ice Punch, you know." Frigimon shrugged.
"Did you see anyone else?" Matt asked pushing Tai aside gently as he stepped up to the Digimon.
"No. When it rains kids, I usually notice. You were the only two that fell here. If there are more of you, then they must be on the other islands." Frigimon theorized.
"Poor TK." Matt looked down in worry.
"Hey, don't worry, we'll find him." Tai assured placing an arm around his friend.
Gabumon then sneezed loudly making everyone jump back and look at him.
"Hey, watch it, dude." Agumon said.
"Sorry about that. I am not used to having a cold." Gabumon sniffled.
"Well, cover your mouth. You'll spread germs." Veemon advised as Daisuke felt Gabumon's forehead.
"A cold, huh? I have an idea." Frigimon mumbled as he walked off.
"Don't go Frigimon, you can't catch his cold. You already are." Tai called as Gabumon sneezed again.
"How'd you get sick? You're the one with the fur around here." Tai pointed out.
"Stop making fun of him. Leave him alone, Tai." Matt grabbed his arm, but Tai shook it off.
"Hey, why don't you chill out, Matt? I was only trying to see how we can help him." Tai said.
"Here we go again." Daisuke sighed as Gabumon sneezed multiple times.
"Gabumon, I think you ought a take a rest for a little while." Agumon suggested.
"I think you're right." Gabumon agreed.
"Okay, back to the cave." Veemon said as the two reptilian Digimon helped their friend.
"We have to figure out what we're going to do next." Tai told everyone.
"Well, isn't it obvious? We have to go search for all the others." Matt said.
"Well, yeah, but how are we supposed to do that? You heard what Frigimon said. Everyone landed on different islands." Tai reminded.
"Unless you got an airplane stashed around here someplace, I think we're stuck." He said as Matt crossed his arms and turned from him with a huff.
"So, I guess we'll ask Frigimon for help." Matt scoffed.
"Weren't you listening to me? He said they're scattered all over the place. He only has two arms. He's not an octopus." Tai quipped.
"Then I'll have to make a raft out of some of these trees, okay?" Matt was growing annoyed.
"Matt, calm down. Wow, what's eating you, dude? I'm on your side. I'll help you get off this island if we have to build surf boards, okay?" Tai placed his hands on his shoulders.
Matt shrugged him off and looked down, his eyes meeting Daisuke's that reflected the same worry he had for the others, but she was hiding it on her face.
"Look, the others will be fine without us for now. We gotta focus on the real deal." Tai said.
"Real deal?" Matt repeated.
"What? I gotta spell it out for you? We gotta know if this island is moving toward that place Devimon talked about." Tai told him.
"That's not the real deal. You doofus, there's nothing more real than our friends." Matt said as he grabbed Tai by the collar and then pushed him back.
"And finding them and getting us all back home safe and don't you ever forget it! You wanna ditch your friends to go look for some far away land, go ahead. But I'm not coming. I'll find TK. I'll find all of them by myself!" Matt declared.
He then started running off.
"He does know we're stuck on this island with no way off, right?" Veemon asked.
"But Matt! Hey, come on, don't freak out on me!" Tai called and then started chasing him.
"I will never understand boys, even if I have more guy friends than girl friends." Daisuke sighed as she shook her head.
Matt was panting as he ran, focusing of getting away and letting his anger out as he did so.
"You're not getting away that easy." Tai called as he tackled Matt to the ground.
"Nobody runs away when I'm still talking. Now listen. Maybe there's something across the ocean to help us find the others. Why do you have to get so bent out of shape? I know how you feel, Matt." Tai sympathized.
Matt twisted around and punched Tai in the face knocking him off as Daisuke and the Digimon gasped, running over.
"You haven't got a clue how I feel, Tai. You're acting like such a jerk." Matt stood up with fists clenched.
"Who are you calling a jerk, jerk?" Tai demanded as he tackled Matt down again, both yelling as they hit the ground.
"Tai stop that." Agumon pleaded.
"You have to work together, guys. Stop fighting." Gabumon called.
"I don't think they can hear us." Veemon said.
Both boys were punching each other, then started rolling on the ground trying to overpower the other person.
"Will you two idiots knock it off? You're gonna kill yourselves!" Daisuke yelled at them.
"Matt, Tai, quit it." Agumon cried.
"What do we do? We have to stop them some way." Gabumon frowned.
"Come on." Daisuke called as she started chasing after the fighting boys who reminded her far too much of Takuya and Koji, but worst.
Matt and Tai rolled over to a cliff and the goggle head gained the upper hand being on top and raised his fist, ready to deliver another blow to the blond.
"It's TK." Matt said with tears flowing down his cheeks halting Tai.
"He's out there on some strange island and he's all alone." Matt cried softly.
"That's it. Wow." Tai breathed.
"Matt, Tai, get away from that cliff." Agumon called.
The cliff gave away from their weight and it broke apart, the two boys going over the edge.
Tai managed to grab onto a tree branch growing out of the cliff and then took hold of Matt's wrist.
"I've got cha. Whatever you do, just don't let go of my hand." Tai said down to him.
"Oh man, gotta think. Gotta think." Daisuke muttered as she looked around for anything to help.
"Don't give up guys. Hold on." Agumon called as he and Gabumon started climbing down.
"Not a good idea." Veemon commented.
"Why isn't there a vine around here?" Daisuke complained as she ran to the trees to look for something to help, then back over to the cliff to check on the progress.
"It's hopeless. I'm so tired and hungry now. I don't have any strength left at all." Agumon said as he clung to the mountain.
"We'd be okay if I could just Digivolve into Garurumon." Gabumon then sneezed.
Daisuke looked at her DB-Tector and realized she would have to blow her cover to help her friends and would deal with the consequences.
She couldn't allow anything to happen to them.
"Spirit Evo-"
Roaring cut her off and she turned to see a large snow beast was sliding down the ice wall at them with a large icicle in his hands.
"Ah, I think it's Mojyamon." Agumon pointed out.
"That's him all right, but he has a black gear inside him." Gabumon noticed.
"Mojyamon is a peaceful mountain Digimon that doesn't like fighting." Agumon said.
"He has a black gear. That pretty much means he's gonna kill us." Veemon called down to them.
Mojyamon jumped over to the cliff, using Ice Cloud on it and the cliff began to crumble making the group all fall, the debris and snow hiding Daisuke which gave her a chance to evolve.
"Spirit Evolution!"
"BELLEMON!"
Grabbing Veemon, Bellemon threw him onto a snowbank where he would be safe as the angel then flew down and caught the two boys' hands while Gabumon and Agumon held each other as they continued to fall.
Beating her wings quickly, Bellemon managed to set the boys on their feet and then caught the two Rookies who fell into her arms.
"You boys need a lot of help." She commented.
"It's Bellemon." Matt gasped.
"Wow, that's twice she saved us now." Tai blinked as the angel stood before them.
She appeared to be 16 years old and stood a head taller than both boys.
"Are you guys all right?" She asked.
"Yes, we're fine, thank you." Gabumon nodded in awe.
A Legendary Warrior was standing with them and she was speaking with them after she saved them.
How many others could enjoy this fact?
"Hey, where are Daisuke and Veemon?" Agumon asked looking around.
"Oh, they're still up there. And here comes trouble." Bellemon drawled as Mojyamon jumped down.
The males all yelled as they ran off while Bellemon stood her ground.
"Bellemon, run!" Tai called.
Narrowing her gold eyes, Bellemon waited for Mojyamon to attack her and she jumped up, kicking him in the face making him stumble back into the mountain, making rocks crumble away to reveal gears.
"Now I may not like violence, but I don't like bullies either." She said as she took to the air, the sun light making her white wings shine.
Flapping her wings, she then rained down her Feather Frenzy that hit Mojyamon making him cover his face and leaving his pelt exposed where the gear was.
"Agumon, Gabumon, do it now!" She called down to them as she soared above them.
Nodding, the two Rookies used their fire attacks on the gear imbedded in the snow beast's pelt, shattering it.
Once it was destroyed, Mojyamon shrunk to his regular size and looked around curiously when suddenly Bellemon flew to him and sang her Angel's Lullaby that sent him to sleep.
"Why did you do that?" Tai asked.
"So, he'll think he just had a bad dream. No one deserves to be used, much less remember it." the Warrior of Miracles said.
"Why did you help us?" Agumon asked.
"Why not? You needed it and I decided to help you. Don't worry about it." She smiled at them.
"Hey, look at that." Gabumon pointed.
Everyone turned to the mountain and Gabumon used his Blue Blaster on the black gears making them crackled with sparks before they started moving properly.
"Hey, you fixed them." Tai said.
The island then started moving towards File Island where Infinity Mountain stood.
"Hey Bellemon, I have a question. Why didn't you or the other Warriors help us out before when Devimon first arrived?" Tai asked.
"Because I'm not meant to fight Devimon. I'm afraid that's your destiny as the Chosen Children." Bellemon explained.
"Chosen Children? Who chose us?" Matt asked.
"You chose yourselves. The fact that you're here now helping others and fighting together proves that you're the DigiDestineds." Bellemon smiled at them.
"But how do you know we can take on Devimon?" Tai questioned.
The two boys looked worried, but Bellemon just smiled at them and placed her hands on their shoulders.
"You know who you two remind me of? Agunimon and Lobomon. They fought a lot too and sometimes seemed like they'd kill each other and would never get along, but when the time came, they forgot their problems and fought together to lead us into battle and we always won. Even when things seemed impossible." She explained.
Her words of encouragement made both boys smile at her, their faith rising as they looked at each other.
"She's right. As long as we work together, we can find the others and defeat Devimon." Tai said.
"As long as we're together, we can make it through anything." Matt agreed.
They laughed and clasped hands as Gabumon and Agumon smiled at them while Bellemon took to the air, flying over to where she dropped Veemon just as Frigimon joined the boys.
Daisuke returned to normal and looked up to see Veemon's smirking face.
"What?" She asked.
"You like them." He teased.
"What are you talking about?" Daisuke demanded.
"You kept complaining about them, but the truth is, you really care about them." Veemon continued to tease.
"Oh, shut up." Daisuke huffed.
