A/N: Hey guys! Here's the next update. Thanks for the reviews. Yes Star will play a role in the story. I'm debating how I want things to happen with her. Either things will end well with her or awful. MWAHAHA I guess y'all will have to read to find out. Also the italicized is a flashback. Umm I honestly don't know what else to say...

Author Confession: What was ur fave part out of the whole DP series? From Guest (AJ?)

My favorite part is when Sam and Danny finally get together! Haha. Honestly I really loved when Danny was being controlled by Control Freak. It was just so good and I loved it. Maybe it's the eyes... haha.

I place a hand on the side of a building, trying to catch my breath. Running from the paparazzi is not fun. I feel bad for all the celebrities that I have to deal with that everyday. My breathing finally slowed and I ran my hands through my hair. Trying to get some order back into it after running frantically trying to lose all the photographers and reporters. My hand hit a knot and I pull a leaf out of my hair. Okay I may have hidden in some bushes to help get away, but it was for a good reason!

My phone buzzes in my pocket . I take it out to see a text from Star. She was making sure I had gotten though the rest of the day without too much trouble. I quickly type a reply before recalling what had happened after Star had given me her number and we were changing into our clothes.

...

"Sam?" Star called as I struggled to get my shirt off over my sling "Sam?" She called again, her footsteps approaching. "Are you done changing?" We were in the locker room and Star had showered and put on her new clothes, while I still struggled to get my shirt off.

I fought my shirt some more before I gave up. "No." I sigh defeated. "My sling and stitches make it nearly impossible to change shirts."

"I could help you, you know? It would be the least I could do." I hear her call from the other side of the wall.

"I don't know..." I didn't exactly like the idea of her helping me change shirts, but I couldn't exactly just walk around with my stained shirt, which was half way over my head. "I guess. Just try to do it as quickly as possible."

Star walked in wearing the new outfit which was a pair of skinny jeans with a peptobismol pink blouse (definitely my mom's personal stylist.) Star chuckled at the sight of me but got straight to work. She pulled my head out of the shirt and gently pulled it down my right arm, careful of my sling. "There! That wasn't too bad."

Star grabbed the black T-shirt from a bench next to the lockers. Pulling it over my head she quickly pulled my arms through. I winced as she finally got my right arm through.

"Oh sorry!" She apologized quickly.

"It's okay." I reassured her.

I noticed Star as she eyed my arm. Her eyebrow furrowed in a way that I just knew she had something on her mind. "What?" I asked her.

"Nothing." She stated quickly. I raised an eyebrow at her hurried reply. " Well... uh...You know, it's just not like Phantom to let people get hurt."

My eyebrows knitted together in confusion. Phantom? Where had I heard that before? "Uh who's Phantom?"

Star stared at me dumbstruck. I glanced around the locker room nervously. Had I said something wrong? "You honestly don't know?" Star finally says still looking at me in disbelief. "Danny Phantom." I was still confused though the name did ring a bell.

"Didn't you say something to me about a Danny Phantom?" I said recalling the first time I had met Star. The day I came back after my attack.

"Uh yeah." She said. "I'm sorry for being kinda... rude then. But Paulina kinda has a thing for him and she doesn't like it when other people get his attention."

"Umm okay." I laughed nervously, still confused, always confused. "I still don't know who this Danny Phantom guy is..." I trailed off, hoping for an answer from her.

"Really?" She gawked at me like I was clueless, which I kinda was. "He's the ghost boy, Sam. The one that saved you." The realization had clicked and I finally matched the name with the face.

I laughed without humor. "He didn't save me." I said putting air quotes around 'save me.' "I ran away from him. After I saw that tiger...ghost...thing and what that boy could do, I ran from that building as fast as I could. I passed out in some alley and next thing I knew I was in the hospital."

"Sam, didn't you ever wonder how you got in the hospital?"

"Well yeah, but I always figured it was some-"

She cut me off. "Sam, he found you and he took you to the hospital. That's why the media is going nuts. No one had been hurt from a ghost attack in a long time because of him, and you were."

"You're kidding me, right?" I bark out a bitter laugh. "I'm getting all of this attention because I got injured?" I asked in disbelief. There had to be a better explanation than that.

"Well... umm... It doesn't help that he stayed in the hospital until he was assured by the doctors that you were okay. Then he made a quick statement to reporters that had been covering your story, that he regretted what had happened and he hoped to make it up to you, if given the chance." I snorted when she had finished.

"He's not going to be given a chance." I snapped.

"Sam I don't think you understand-."

"All of this crap is because he wants to 'make it up to me'. Not my fault I was attacked by some demonic creature!"

"Sam-"

"People need help. This is a bunch of -"

"Sam!" Star yelled. I quickly shut my mouth when I saw her face. Her eyes were narrowed and her face had a slight tint of red to it. She looked pissed, but maybe she was frustrated with me.

"You didn't let me finish." She said in a much too calm voice. "That basically gives you a chance to do whatever you want with him. Most girls can only dream of being rescued by Danny Phantom. No one can ever hang out with him or anything." She looked at me as if expecting me to comment or ask a question but my mouth stayed shut. I didn't want to set this girl off again. "That Sam, is why Paulina is mad. That's why people are staring. That's why paparazzi want an interview with you. Do you get it now?"

I slowly nodded my head. "Finally." Star said exasperated.

...

I hadn't got it. I still didn't get it. The guy is dead! Who freaking cares about what he does? People are weird and girls are idiots. I don't want Phantom to make anything up to me. I just want this ghost nonsense to go away. Besides what is so special about this guy that all these girls want to hang out with him anyways. He's a ghost! Shouldn't they be running away screaming?

I had long since left my hiding spot from paparazzi and so far there had been no sign of them. I round a corner on my way home, passing by Amity Park. Happy to get some time to myself, I push aside my previous thoughts not wanting to get all worked up after an already stressful day. My eyes are on the ground, unconsciously watching my feet to make sure I don't trip over a rock or well... air.

I glance up when I hear faint whispering. It was a group of girls, they looked like they were maybe in middle school, they were standing around a group of trees a few feet from the sidewalk. A brunette with braces points at me and snickers to her friends. Another brunette but with a rather unfortunately long nose glares at me when I make eye contact with her. Well there goes my happy mood. Annoyed with the whispers and looks I walk faster staring straight in front of me so I don't have to look at them. The whispers ceased as I walk by their group. A foot clad in a black converse shoe is suddenly placed in front of me and I'm airborne. This is why I need to watch where I'm stepping!

The familiar sensation of falling takes over my body. I hear snickers coming from the group of girls, who I pretty much assume tripped me. I unconsciously put my arm in front of my face, knowing I couldn't catch myself without the use of my other arm. I watch the pavement move closer to my face. I squeeze my eyes shut waiting for the impact, hoping it wouldn't hurt too much, but I never hit the ground. The snickers from before were gone.

I could feel a pair of arms that were wrapped securely around me, keeping me from falling flat on my face. I move my arm from my face as I was lifted up onto my feet. Still slightly in shock from not hitting the ground, I look up, moving my hair out of my face. I am immediately greeted with bright green eyes that almost seem to glow... No one has eyes like that. I take a step back and fully see the one who prevented me from falling on my face. Somehow I knew it was him before I even fully registered who it was. Standing in front of me was the ghost boy. Danny Phantom.
