A/N: Thanks to those of you who reviewed for chapter eight. Here's chapter nine. Hope you all enjoy it.

Disclaimer: Miranda is mine, but the children are not.

A cool breeze travelled through the air as Miranda Norton's first grade class laughed and played outside on the school playground. Miranda sat on a bench, while watching the children. They were all doing various activities.

Haley, Garcia, Maeve, Beth and Elle were all drawing on the cement with sidewalk chalk. They were all sitting in circle and talking as they drew.

"What are you all drawing?" Haley asked, as she continued with her drawing.

"I'm drawing a princess." Elle said.

"My drawing is a rainbow." Garcia said.

"I'm just drawing the earth." Maeve said.

"And I'm drawing a heart." Beth said. "What about you Haley, what are you drawing?"

"A bunny. I love bunnies."

Ashley, Anderson and Hotch were swinging on the swings. Ashley and Hotch would swing high and them jump out and see who jumped the furthest. Anderson was too scared to jump.

"I win on this round!" Ashley gleefully said as she was a few inches behind Aaron.

"But I won on the last round!" Hotch reminded Ashley.

"You two better be careful." Anderson warned his two classmates.

"Stop being a scaredy cat and just jump already!" Ashley demanded.

"Yeah! You're missing out on all the fun!" Hotch shouted.

"I'm not scared!" Anderson shouted back.

"Prove it!" Ashley and Hotch shouted in unison.

"Fine!" Anderson waited until his swing was completely stopped and then jumped out of it. "There, I did it! Are you happy, now?!"
"You waited until the swing stopped swinging!" Hotch shouted.

"Yeah! You're supposed to jump while the swing is still swinging!" Ashley said.

"But that's too dangerous!"

"Just try it! Here, we'll all jump at the same time, okay?!"

"Oh , okay then." Anderson finally gave into his two friends demands.

The three them swung as high as they could and jumped out of their swings. When Anderson landed on his feet, he started laughing.

"Hey, this really is fun!"

"Told you so!" Ashley and Hotch said in unison.

Gideon and Rossi were playing on the teeter totter and talking to each other.

"Remember that one day when you were sitting on the teeter totter and I ran and jump on the other end of it, sending you into a giant bird's nest at the very top of a tree and that giant bird came by and tried to eat you?" Rossi asked.

"Um.. I remember you running and jumping on the other end of it, and causing me to fall, but I didn't land in a giant's bird's nest. That never happened."

"Yes it did. Don't you remember. I saved your life, by shooting the bird."

"I don't remember that happening."

"Well it did and you're the one who told me to shoot the bird."

"I would never want anyone to kill a bird."

"You wanted that bird dead."

"I still don't remember any of that happening."
"Jason, trust me. One of these days, you'll remember it all."

Will, Jordan, Clyde, Alex and Kevin were all on the merry go round, laughing as Reid was spinning it for them.

"Go faster, Spencer!" They all shouted to Reid.

"I'm running as fast as I can! Combine together, you all are heavier than I am! I think we could get this thing to go a little bit faster if we all ran with it and then jumped on it, together!" Reid suggested.

Agreeing with Reid, they all got off the merry go round, each grabbed a handle and began running with it. When they saw that it was going fast, all of them, but Reid jumped on it. Reid just stood there.

"Hurry up, Spencer, jump on!" Jordan shouted with laughter.

"Eh… it's a little too fast for me. I'll wait until it slows down a bit."

A little way from the merry go round, was the jungle gym. Prentiss and JJ were standing on the outside of it, and talking to each other. Morgan was on the inside of the jungle gym, and hanging by his feet from the top of it.

"Hey ladies!" Morgan shouted.

"What do you want, Derek?!" Prentiss shouted back.

"Don't act like you're not impressed with my ability to hang upside down!" Morgan shouted.

"Anyone can hang upside down from a jungle gym, Derek!" JJ joined in on the conversation.

Somehow, Morgan's feet slipped from the bars, sending him to the ground. Luckily, he put his hands out in front of him, so his face or head wouldn't get injured. As he landed, there was a sickening and crunching sound in his left wrist. He sat up right and grabbed his wrist. There was a grim look on his face. Prentiss and JJ just stared at him in shock and horror.

"Are you okay, Derek?" JJ asked as she and Prentiss began making their way inside of the jungle gym.

"Don't worry about me, ladies. I'll be fine" Morgan tried flashing a grin at the two of them, but they just rolled their eyes at him.

"I'm going to get Miss Norton."

Miranda was going through her cell phone, when JJ came running up to her, with a worried expression on her face.

"JJ, are you alright?" Miranda now had a worried expression on her face.

"Derek's hurt!" JJ frantically shouted.

"Did you throw a soccer ball at him?"

"DO YOU SEE A SOCCER BALL ANYWHERE NEAR ME?! NO! YOU WANNA KNOW WHY?! BECAUSE I LEFT IT AT HOME! DEREK IS INJURED BECAUSE HE FELL FROM THE JUNGLE GYM! HE NEEDS SOME HELP!" JJ loudly shouted, causing everyone else to turn and see what the fuss was all about.

"JJ, there is absolutely no need to shout. Now, let's go see how bad Derek's injury is." Miranda said.

By the time the two of them got to the jungle gym, the rest of the class was there, all surrounding Morgan.

"Is he going to die?!" There was some fear in Garcia's voice.

"No one's dying today, sweetheart." Miranda made her way to the crowd and knelt down to Morgan. And looked at his injured wrist. "You wanna tell me how this happened?"

After Morgan had told Miranda everything that happened, JJ said, "See I told you that I didn't hit him with a soccer ball, but you didn't believe me!"

"I never said, I didn't believe you." Miranda corrected her student.

"Ladies, please don't argue. I wanna go in peace and quiet." Morgan responded as everyone looked at him for a moment with confused expressions.

"What are you talking about?" Clyde asked.

"I'm near death and I can see the light. It's so beautiful and bright. A little too bright, to be completely honest with all of you." Morgan shielded his eyes with his right hand.

"Um… that's the sun. And no, you're not near death. You probably just broke your wrist or sprained it. You'll more likely survive." Reid explained.

Morgan heaved a huge sigh of relief and said, "Oh, thank God! I'm too young and handsome to die."

End of chapter nine. Please leave me some reviews. I'll have chapter ten up as soon as possible.
