Chapter 9: Sick

"Achoo!" Randy sneezed. He laid back down on his bed and coughed harshly.

"Jeez, if you keep acting like this people might actually think you're sick," Kace snorted as he threw up a tissue box at Randy. Randy heard Kace sneeze and handed the tissue box back down to his brother; he already had a pile of tissue. The twins have both been sick in bed for two days.

"Ugh, Kace, can you call Mom B please?"

"Why?"
"I want hot cocoa,"
"Ohhh, I want some. MOM B!" Kace called with a raspy voice. Randy heard footsteps approaching and watched as one of his mothers' came in.

"Yes, babe?" Mom B stroked Randy's face. Mom Barbra was the kinder of the two. Her brown bobbed hair curled around her jaw line making her face almost angelic. Randy had the same eyes as her; big bright blue eyes. It wasn't like Kace has the same eyes as Randy, but his eyes weren't has bright.

"Can we have some hot cocoa?" Randy's voice was barely audible.

"Hun, you've already had five cups today!"

"No, Kace has. I haven't," Randy complained. Kace snickered and pulled on Mom B's pant leg.

"So, I'm guessing that Randy should get cocoa and you shouldn't?" Mom B crouched down so she was now eyes level with Kace. Kace whined and pouted as Mom K came into the room with two mugs.

"Yay!" Randy clapped his hands like a child and reached for a mug.

"Who said these were for you?" Mom K bopped Randy's nose and handed a mug to hum. Mom Kristy was the exact opposite of Mom B. Mom K had blonde hair that went down to the middle of her back. Randy was pretty sure that it was way longer then it appeared because her hair was so curly. Her light green eyes shown with amusement as they hid behind her large, black glasses. Mom B kissed Mom K's cheek and patted the ground next to her. Mom K shook her head and went back downstairs. She returned to their room with two mugs and handed one to Mom B.

"So, what's up?" Mom B laughed as Mom K sat on the ground next to her.

"The sky," Kace groaned and tried to balance his mug on his forehead.

"Don't do that," Mom K reached over and patted Kace's arm. Randy sat up in his bed and sipped his drink, watching Kace slowly take the mug off his head.

"Mom K, tell me a story," Randy said suddenly. Mom K and B looked at him strangely as her adjusted himself in his bed.

"Randy, we aren't four anymore. Stories are stupid," Kace rolled his eyes and sipped his cocoa. Randy glared at Kace and threw a pillow down on top of him, spilling some of Kace's coca on his face.

"Now come on boys. Play nice," Mom B shook her head as Mom K patted her wife's leg.

"Randy what kind of story do you want?"Mom K asked. Randy shrugged and closed his eyes.

"There was once a little girl, about your age actually," Mom K began, "She was going to her first Norisu Rave party. One of her friends' forced her to go to one, saying it was the coolest thing. So she went, only to be ditched by her friend. The girl, about to leave, ran into another girl on her way out. To her surprise, the girl also had a friend who ditched her. That was when the two became friends. They went to every Rave together for month and months. And at one of the Raves', the little girl questioned her sexuality and asked the other girl how she felt. It was that moment that they both realized that they were destined to be together. Happily ever after, the end," Mom K shrugged and quickly ended the story. Mom B gave her wife a questionable look and shook her head.

"That's not how it happened!"

"That's how I remember it,"

"No, it went something like this," Mom B cleared her throat, "That Rave that the two girls went to? Yeah, that was the night they got together. But, the DJ was the one who really got them together. He had 'The Spotlight Dance' and it featured a couple to dance in the middle of the dance floor. Well, the Norisu being all knowing, made us do the dance. During that dance, they kissed-"

"AND THEY FRICK FRACKED TILL DAYBREAK!"

"EWWW GROSS!" Randy faked puking as Mom K interrupted. Both Moms laughed so hard that they spilt their drinks all over each other. Kace pulled the covers over his head after he made a grotesque face at his mothers.

"Ah ha! Ha, I'm so sorry. It had to be done!" Mom K laughed.

"Oh dear, now I'm all wet," Mom B pulled at her t-shirt and pushed Mom K playfully.

"Hey, come on! I'm also wet from your tea!" Mom K pushed Mom B back.

"I'm going to get changed," Mom B got up and went downstairs with Mom K not too far behind.

"PLEASE DON'T FRICK FRACK WHILE WE ARE HOME!" Kace yelled.

"WE USUALLY DON'T!"

"Aw, shnasty!" Randy made a face and blew his nose.

"Randy, are we going to the Rave tonight?"

"Of course not. I've already called Howard and told him to cancel it. We will just have to do two next week," Randy groaned. Being sick was the worst.
