Dragon Blood Curse Ch. 10 -Meeting Another-

Scourge's Pov.
I wake in a cave far from what I recognition "Zonic?...Fleetway?...anybody?" I called out looking outside the cave. I couldn't see anything familiar to me so nervously I stayed in that cave, I travel deeper into the cave I notice a few bones of what I could guess deer or elk then heard voices. "Remind me again why we're staying in this cave and not on the island?" a voice called out, just to hear another sigh "did you forget already?" the voice asked. "No I just don't get why we're staying in a cave" the male voice growled apparently at the other.

Curious I peeked around the corner of the cave to see if he could spot the source of the voices 'I wonder whom is here?' I thought to himself as I glanced over cautiously, then spotted two more dragon-like mobians sitting o the ground both with black hair though with the male is with blue fur and the female was with green fur, but unlike myself they had dragon wings with the tail. "It's the best place to rest" the female said trying to keep a calm tone though the opposite could be said bout the blue one "it's not the best place, anyone comes in and we're trapped in here. " I listened into the chat for a bit before deciding it would be wise to head back to the opening of this cave only I never realized I stepped on a animal bone until it broke under my weight 'crap!' was the first thing I thought and I looked back to see if they didn't hear that.

I note the female looking up to the area I was at "did you hear that?" she asked making me nervous the male nodded as he stood up. I was still running off the instincts from that fight earlier and I turned to run for the exit for I was afraid they might be here to finish me off. I ran and hid behind the stones at the entrance as I tried not to be noticed 'I really need to watch my step next time' I thought as I noticed the blue male had pursued me. He looked around growling aggravated "I know I heard something" he said as the female came up from behind him "calm down Agua whoever it is they're still within earshot and there's no need to scare them" she said calmer than he was. While they talked I tried to sneak off only for the wound to my leg to start hurting that a small yelp slipped from my muzzle.

I noticed that the females ears twitched to that and she started to walk my way with Agua just standing there, I knew I couldn't move without my leg hurting so I gave up and laid on my uninjured side a slight whine slipping outta my mouth as I was scared of them. She notices me laying there and looked thoughtful "W-who are you?" I asked since I might as well try, "My name is Fern" she replied with a gentle tone "and you?" I looked away shyly "Scourge..." I said trying to ignore the pain in my leg "what are you?" I asked her. "I'm a Drakian, I'm surprised you haven't at least heard of my kind seeing as your also part dragon" she replied looking to my wounds.

I chuckled nervously "W-well you see I wasn't always like this...I was a pure hedgehog once" I said as I looked to my own wounds. "There's no need to be nervous, I wont hurt you" Fern replies to me smiling a bit which seemed to help me calm down, and I was now really curious "why is that I have never seen your kind before?" I asked her. She looked to me "Its because my kind live on a floating island that is hidden in the clouds" Fern said and I looked more confused "an island hidden in a thick mist, and another hidden in the clouds...such a difference there, but that makes this a little stranger, why ain't you and the other guy there up there?" I asked sitting up only to wince lightly at the pain.

"Well staying on the island can be boring at times so I like to come down most of the time the counsel gives me tasks to do or to look for things" She replied to me and I nodded "Makes sense" was my reply "your friend seems pretty concerned with being in the cave whys that?" she then chuckled lightly "Agua is actually my brother ans he's just like that even if we help out a friend he always tags along then complains." I chuckled shyly "heh...I see, well I'm sorta lost though, I can't really remember my way back to the rest of the hedgedrakes on this island" I replied as I looked around. "Well this island was just revealed to the counsel so I was asked to come and explore it so I really don't know much of the place" she replied back, and I looked back to her "then how long have you been here?" I asked to get told only two hours since they arrived.

Managing to stand back up I looked at the other "two hours...well at least you seem friendly compared to the lab hybrid that attacked me earlier" I replied looking down now. "Well I am Agua is just grumpy a lot" Fern teased lightly "I heard that!" he retorted. I snickered a bit from that "if I could remember which ways north I could find my way back to the den" I said quietly and fern looked to me "well can you see your den from the sky?" she asked. "From the sky I could see the whole camp grounds to all the hedgedrakes that live here" I said lightly then frowned "only...I can't fly." I noted Fern smile "well lucky I can" she replied, but I was really unsure "you sure ya could lift a 210+lb hedgedrake?" I asked nervously, but really I wanted to find the others again.

"No not in this form but..." she glows a green color before it faded I noticed she had changed into a dragon not as big as those on this land but she stood level with me in height "Like this I can" she finishes. "Wow never seen that before" I said surprised and looked over to Agua "All Drakians have a full dragon form they just very in size, your bigger than me so you'll have to carry him" she said looking to her brother. He then growls "Why should I help someone that we don't even know well enough?!" he asked upset I could easily tell, and Fern just looked to him again "he needs help getting back it's the right thing to do brother." Agua huffs at that "Fine..." he replies and also glows but of a different color to reveal his dragon form was larger than myself and Fern, so nervously I climb onto his back "Sorry if I'm a burden..." I replied holding into him. "He doesn't mind do you bro?" she asked though I swore it sounded more like a threat, then again that's just me "only for you sis" he said spreading his wings out "just hold on" then he takes to the air.

Fern follows behinde, and I looked around once air born then noticed something in the woods further out 'Fleetway?' I point over to a clearing near them "over there I see something. "O.k" Fern and Agua flies over there.

Shadow's Pov.

I've been worried since we've been looking through the entire night trying to find any trace of Scourge, but nothing thus far "I'm worried guys we should have found him by now" Fleetway said nervous then again who could blame him he and Zonic both actually feared for the missing green. "I know Fleet, but I don't know where he coul~" we suddenly hear what sounded like large flapping of wings nearby "over there" Silver pointed to the open area near us and we noted two dragons one blue and the other was green but what caught us all was who sat on the large male "Scourge?!" Zonic said surprised as the green one climbed off and walked over to us. "Hey...sorry I took off I donno what came over me?" he said to me and the other "no need to apologize it was just the instincts turning on that's all" I said in return patting Scourge on the shoulder.

"Who are they green?" Sonic asked and we looked to the two dragons as they shifted back into part dragons with wings "this is Fern and Agua, they were willing to help me out" Scourge said before yawning a little. Fleetway chuckled lightly "come on lets get ya home and get ya some proper sleep" he said and we all (Including Fern and Agua) headed back the way to the village.
