Jai was frozen. He was so transparent that you could tell every little thing that he was thinking. "I'm going to be a father to twins? I thought one child was hard enough, but two, it's like a re run of Luke and I." Ariana looked up to Jai as she lay on the bed, "say something Jai, anything" he tried to say something but all he could do was stare blankly towards the radiology screen and he two figures moving like water within it. It was all too much for him. Eighteen and going to be a father. How could this have happened to him right before the notaboyband Janoskians tour, right before his life had truly started. Finally Jai spoke. "Twins huh, I guess that part was my fault given my genes and everything" Ariana let out a small giggle as she put her top down and got off the bed. "I'm going to stand by you no matter what Ariana" Jai said as he grabbed her hands and looked directly into her eyes. Then he kissed her. Rhiannon and I looked at each other with the same facial expressions of "well this is awkward" The doctor gave Ariana the all clear to go home and rest as we left the Melbourne hospital.
We got back to Ariana's place so Jai could pack again to leave for tour. I already missed Luke like crazy, it had only been 4 hours since he left on the plane. I can't begin to imagine how Rhiannon was feeling back in her and Beau's empty home. Jai finished packing as he said his goodbyes to Ariana and me as he walked outside and got into the taxi. All of use girls were officially Janoskian free which had its perks because they are stupid idiots a lot of the time but that's why we love them. They are amazing to us all and we wouldn't trade it in for the world. I went and found my phone to send a txt out to Luke to tell him that Jai was on his way to L.A. When I opened up my messages there were 20 unread from Luke that I shouldn't really share with anybody ever but it was adorable. It was about 8pm so I decided to make myself dinner. I then went to sleep. I bed felt cold without Luke but I do know him and the boys would be having the time of their lives already.
3 months had nearly passed by it was now winter. The boys were coming home tomorrow from their world tour and Ariana and I were going to go pick them up in Beau's car with Rhiannon at the airport when they flew in. Ariana was 3 and a half months pregnant now and she was showing a lot now. I missed Luke more than anything. It felt like it had been so long since I seen him that I had forgotten how to miss him really. Ariana was a good distraction for me though and so was Rhiannon. Don't get me started on her. Shopping every day, eating out at restaurants and going to the movies, we did something every single day the boys were gone I swear. I think it was her way of not being able to see Beau at all other than through Skype.
Finally tomorrow had come and we were on the way to the airport, it was a 6:30am fly in so none of us really looked the best except for Rhiannon, I don't know how that girl does it at 6:30 in the morning. We were all so excited to see them, we couldn't stop talking about it in the car. I was the only one out of us girls that had their license so I had to drive Beau's car. It was messy as shit inside but hey its Beau Brooks. We got up to an intersection, the lights were green so I drove on further to the airport, then suddenly some dumb ass in a black boy racer ran a red light and collided into us at high speed hitting Ariana's side of the car first rolling 5 metres across the intersection. Rhiannon and Ariana's screams filled my ears as it all turned black. Now it was quiet.
From Luke's Point Of View:
My brothers, Daniel, James and I all excited the terminal from the plane after it landed. It was so good to be back in Melbourne. I can't wait to see my girl I know Beau and Jai have, especially Jai given the whole situation with Ariana and Daniel and James could not stop talking about Bella and Veronica the whole way home on the flight. As the 5 of us with a view other passengers reached the inside of the airport, lines and lines of screaming fan girls awaited to greet us as we walked out of the slim tunnel. Our fans mean the world to us, they are what allowed us to do this notaboyband tour. I then look around to see Nicki, she usually stands out in the crowd. I scan my eyes everywhere amongst the screaming crowd but nothing. I can't find here anywhere. Jai then say's to me "hey can you see Ariana anywhere?" "Nah bro this is weird I can't find Nicki anywhere either." "Maybe they are running late, busy traffic or something?" I reply. Then something feels wrong, I notice Rhiannon is not here and they are always together the three of them. They were meant to pick us up in Beau's car. I walk over to Beau, "hey I think I'm going to ring Nicki and see where they are, this is fucked up man." Beau replies with a concerned face, "yeah good idea." I dial Nicki's number but no answer. Beau and Jai do the same to Ariana and Rhiannon but no answer. "Guy's they're not picking up, you don't think something's happened on the way up do you?" Jai replied with a worried tone to his voice "I hope Ari's all right." "We are probably just being silly, they might have got drunk last night and aren't awake yet, I mean it's 6:30am right now" Beau say's trying to be funny. "yeah well why isn't Ariana picking up either, I don't think she'd be hungover this morning when she can't drink alcohol, BECAUSE SHE'S PREGNANT!" Beau and Luke looked at Jai and realised something was definitely wrong. Daniel and James waved to us as they went home with Veronica and Bella. "Well I suppose we should get a taxi home then cause Mum's away on a business trip in Perth so their goes that idea of a free ride," I say. As we walk out to the transport bay I try to call Nicki again, all that I hear is the stupid ass voicemail that we made together.
From Rhiannon's point of view:
I open my eyes as I stare at the cracked windscreen one metre in front of me. I try to open the door to get out but nothing will move. Smoke from the bonnet of Beau's car comes seeping out into the front two seats of the car. Suddenly I remember Ariana pregnant with twins in the back seat. I swing around immediately to look at her. I reach my arm around to nudge her as a slight pain comes through it. I move other parts of my body, they all seem fine. I try to move Ariana again but she doesn't budge. Then her head falls down, it's covered in blood, her whole body is covered in blood. "No Ariana, c'mon stay with me, wake up, ARIANA WAKE UP!" I say as I begin to shout. I start to panic and cry. "aarrggg, help me, help" Nicki's cry's suddenly bring me back to reality. I move my attention to her. "Nicki what's wrong, what hurts?" She moves her lips slowly moving the blood coming out of her mouth, "Everything" she say's gasping for breath then she loses consciousness. The blood trickily from her head through her hair. "No Nicki, not you too" I say starting to panic more. I move my shaking hands around the car to find my phone. I feel it underneath the sit and pull it out. 5 missed calls from Beau. I dial the ambulance, "Help! Help!, please help me we have just been in a car accident, Help!" Rhiannon say's fast. The other person on the line then tries to calm her down, "Ok what is your name and where are you at the moment?" "Uhhmm I'm uuhhm at uhhm the last intersection before the Melbourne airport and I'm Rhiannon Magee, please hurry I have two friends uncounsicous and we can't get out of the car, one of them are pregnant and I don't know if she is breathing! Please come," I say sobbing loudly now. "There's another car involved too I don't now how bad they are hurt though." "Ok someone is on there way now just remain calm." I hang up the phone and try to wake Nicki and Ariana up.
From Luke's point of view:
I look down at my phone to see nothing from Nicki or anyone. Beau's voice then interrupts my thoughts as we reached the airport intersection. "Is that my car over?" I look over at the sight Beau is looking at to see his car crunched up with 3 bodies inside it. Only one of them are moving. "STOP THE CAR!" I immediately say as Jai and Beau follow me when I get out of the taxi before it has even stopped. We run over to the car as it starts to rain violently. I go to Rhiannon who looks to be the only one conscious. "What happened, why is Nicki not awake Rhiannon?" "I dunno we just rolled and then it went black, a car hit us or something, just help Ariana and Nicki please!" Rhiannon say's crying loudly now. I then hear Beau say "Ssssh, I'm going to get you out ok," as he grabs Rhiannon's small and delicate frame, pulling her through the window." I run over to Nicki's side and try to open the door. It won't move. I decide to hope in the way Rhiannon came out soaking wet from the rain. I look in the back seat and see Jai with his arms through the window, trying to wake up Ariana, her blood covering his hands. I put my hands on Nicki's face as she moves her body and screams in pain. Thank god she's still breathing. "Nicki don't move, just don't move." Then I hear the sirens of the ambulance stop behind us. They come rushing towards the car and assess the situation. "We need to smash this window to get the girl out, it's the only way," they say as they point to Ariana. "please be carefull she's pregnant with twins," Jai say's as he holds Ariana's head in his arms through the window to protect her from the glass. They then get the stretchers as one of the officers gets inside the car to pull Ariana's weak body out, she starts to wake up as she is on the stretcher being moved towards the ambulance, "Jai, Jai, where's Jai, the twins Jai, the twins, aarrrggh!" She yells as she tries to move. Jai stands by her side, "I'm here, I'm here." Not only did he fear Ariana's life he feared the twins unborn lives as well. I could see it written all over his face. He loved them all more than anything and he was going to fight for them no matter what. I turned my attention back to Nicki as she screamed in pain. The ambulance officers came around to her side of the car and tries to move her. She stilled screamed, "Don't move me please, it's too much." Nicki we need to move you it's the only way we are going to get you out babe," I say as I hold her hand. I look into her eyes. "Nicki I love you, you can do this, just please stay with me," I say as I run my hand over her bruised and bloody face, it was becoming colder too." "She's cold, what's happening to her?" I ask the officers. "She's fading away, we need to get her out. I look back to her face again as her eyes begin to roll back into her head. "Nicki, no, no, come on wake up hun," I say as I stroke her light brown hair of her face. "On the count of three you have to move her okay?" The paramedics say to me. "1,2,3 go," We finally put her onto a stretcher and move her inside the ambulance as we drive to the hospital following Jai and Ariana.
From Jai's Point Of View
I'm speechless sitting in the ambulance. All I can focus on is the limp body of Ariana and the twins that the paramedics are working on. Then the sound of one of the machines interrupts my eyes, flat lining. I hear the paramedic say, "Ariana stay with us," "what's wrong guys?" I ask as my stomach gets caught in my throught. "Shes not doing too well," they say "since, she's pregnant and the amount of blood she has lost from the crash, we have to take her straight to surgery at the hospital if she has any chance of living." My stomach falls to the ground. I can't lose her, I can't and the twins, I can't lose them, I was excited about being a father. I thought I could be everything that mine wasn't. We all take Ariana into the hospital while the paramedics are trying to resuscitate her. She then goes into the surgery doors with my future in her hands. Rhiannon and Beau come as Rhiannon comes out from her check up. All she escaped with was a bruised wrist. They walk over to me sitting down on the chair and don't say anything. There was nothing more to say, Ariana and the twins might die. They can't tell me that everything is going to be alright, because this time I don't think it is. They just sit down beside me and wait.
From Luke's Point Of View
I run after Nicki on the stretcher with the paramedics, a million things running through my head. I leave her as the doctors in the Emergency department cut off my access, forcing me to stand and wait. I put my hands on top of my head and try to breathe and take all of this in. How could 3 months on tour be so life changing and thrilling and then come back home and it's the complete opposite? I look left and right down the corridor and see Jai, Beau and Rhiannon sitting on some seats completely blank looking. I walk with increased pace over to them. I put my hands on Jai's shoulder and try to comfort him, "Jai, I'm really sorry bro, I'm sure Ariana will get through it, she's a fighter." Then he shrugs my hand off his shoulder. Intense anger relishes upon his face as begins to yell at me. "YOU KNOW THIS IS ALL YOUR GIRLFRIENDS FAULT, SHE WAS THE ONE DRIVING, SHE WAS THE ONE WITH THE FULL LICENSE, SHE SHOULD HAVE BEEN MORE CAREFUL, INSTEAD SHE CRASHED AND HURT EVERYONE AROUND HER INCLUDING MY UNBORON CHILDREN AND THE WOMAN I LOVE! SO PLEASE DO NOT TELL ME EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE ALRIGHT LUKE BECAUSE ITS NOT, HOW CAN IT BE, ARI IS DYING IN THAT ROOM OVER THERE, he screams pointing towards the theatre door, AND THERE IS NOTHING ANY OF US CAN DO OKAY, SO LUKE JUST DON'T PLEASE, JUST DON'T!" he begins to mellow his voice, "If anything happens….if anything happens to Ari I don't think I could forgive Nicki, I'm sorry Luke." He say's, as he walks to the end of the corridor and sits down with his head in his hands. I was speechless, he blamed my girlfriend for this, it was the other drivers fault, they hit them, they ran the red light. He was hurting Jai. He was hurting a lot. I looked down at Beau with Rhiannon on the seat as he spoke, "I'll uhm, I'll go and see if he's alright." Rhiannon and Beau's face said it all as they walked towards Jai, they blamed Nicki too. It wasn't her fault. How could they not see that? "Excuse me Luke?" I turned around to see a doctor come out to me. "Yeah, hey how is Nicki?" I say concerned. "She is conscious but she's had internal damage, she has at least two broken rips on each side of her body and she has a nasty gash to her head and a compound fracture to her tibia on the right leg. We would like to keep her in for a week or so just to monitor her, but I think she will make a full recovery." I breathed a sigh of relief, "Thank you, can I go and see her?" "Soon I'll come out and tell you when," the doctor say's walking back into the room she came out of. I looked down the corridor to where Jai was sitting with Beau and Rhiannon. I walked down to them. "Uhhm, Nicki's fine guys, just letting you know," I say awkwardly, they gave me the impression they wanted to know but didn't care. Rhiannon and Beau nodded but Jai didn't do anything. I looked as if it just made him angrier. I decided to sit down beside them because no matter what they are my family and I would support them through anything, even if they didn't want to support me with some things. "Jai?" The surgeons serious voice broke through my thoughts. We all looked up at her. "Is she alright?" Jai asked quickly standing up. The surgeon then spoke, "you better sit down. "What is it? Just tell me, she's fine right, she has to be fine?" he say's beginning to snob as he sniffles his nose. "Jai, the surgeon say's, I'm sorry Jai, her injuries were too extensive, she had internal organ damage to her brain mostly which explained all the blood, the unborn twins were not developed enough to survive, I'm sorry Jai we lost them.
