Natsumi smiled as she headed towards Saki's house. She had to let her know the good news. She silently slipped into the main house, knowing her dad wasn't a big fan of their friendship. "Hey Sa-." She paused seeing Saki on her bed clutching the fox plushy and crying. "SAKI! What's going on?!"
"Natsumi?" She blinked looking up and whipped the tears away slightly. "I... I'm confused and don't know what to do."
Natsumi sat down next to her. "Tell me what happened? What's wrong?" She looked at the fox and frowned. "Does this have something to do with Captain Kuchiki?"
Saki nodded weakly. "...I love him Natsumi.. I really do. I would love to be with him forever." She smiled briefly. "I've never wanted something, as much as I want to be with him."
"And he turned you down?" Natsumi asked, a hint of anger in her voice. She was angry at the captain for hurting her friend.
"No... He, he kissed me." Saki whispered.
Natsumi blinked shocked. "Then what is the problem? If he loves you-?"
"But I don't know if he truly does... My dad has already talked to his family, and they are planning the wedding. Sure I love Byakuya and want to marry him, but not like this." Saki sighed. "I don't want it to be forced... I want it to be for love. I want him to actually propose and ask me, 'will you marry me?'... I want him and I to plan the weeding together, I want him to tell me that he loves me and wants to spend the rest of his life with me... I don't want him to only play the act of a husband, but not truly have those deep feelings for me. I don't want to be a prisoner to an arranged marriage."
"Oh." Natsumi nodded and understood. She pulled Saki into a hug. "I understand..."
"I don't know what to do! He said he loved me, but I don't believe he truly does!" She cried into Natsumi's shirt. "Oh Natsumi, what am I going to do?!"
Natsumi frowned. "I know!" She smiled and patted Saki's back. "You'll run. Go to the world of the living and hid out there. If he really does love you then he'll come find you." She smirked. "Come on, let's pack up your stuff. You can ask Kisuke if you can stay there!"
"Natsumi..." Saki smiled weakly. "Thank you." She got up and started packing up her stuff.
After they had finished packing everything, including the fox Kuya, they slipped out and headed towards the world of the living. "So Natsumi... What were you coming to tell me anyways?" Saki asked as they headed towards Kisuke's house.
"Well... Ichigo kissed me." She smiled. Saki gasped shocked. "And I kissed him back." She looked over and watched as Saki started laughing.
"I KNEW IT!"
"What?!"
"I knew you two liked each other! It was so obvious!" She laughed and hoked her arm with Natsumi's arm. "I'm so happy for you two. So I guess I'll still be seeing you around while I'm here."
"Oh yeah!" Natsumi laughed. "I guess that's true. I'm glad... Now what do you mean you knew?!"
"I've known for a while." Saki smiled. "That's why I didn't go with you guys to the fair. I wanted to give you guys some space and alone time." She smiled slyly.
Natsumi stared at her angrily for a moment, and then started laughing. "Okay you got me, thanks."
Saki smiled, and was starting to feel better. But before she could say another comment, Natsumi's pager went off. "Hollow?"
Natsumi looked down and paled. "No, worse. It's an arrancar!"
Saki was about to ask what that was, but she got her answer as she spotted a guy standing in the air a bit away. He had blue hair and wore white clothes. The thing that scared her the most about him, was the partial mask on his jaw. "That?!"
"Saki, stay behind me!" Natsumi frowned as she pulled out her zanpacto.
Saki nodded, froze with fear. She knew the arrancar was strong, and she wouldn't be able to do anything against him with the little training she had.
"I found you." He smirked and shot forward.
Natsumi swung to get him, but he blocked with his own zanpacto. Saki stared at it in fear, but slight awe. She had to admit it was an amazing blade, and he looked like an amazing blade-master. "Die arrancar!"
"Get out of my way reaper!" He frowned annoyed. "Or I'll have to kill you!" He smirked as if he was thinking that wasn't such a bad idea.
"NATSUMI!" Saki grabbed Natsumi's arm and dragged her away. She ran and knew Natsumi wasn't happy. "That guy is too strong! We need help!" Saki called back to her. "We just need to run!"
"...Yeah, you're right." But Natsumi didn't sound happy about it.
Saki didn't care. She just wanted to get away from the blue haired arrancar, and survive. She froze as the arrancar landed in front of them and grabbed the collar of her shirt. He lifted her up off the ground and kicked Natsumi in the guts. "NATSUMI!" She yelled watching the soul reaper go flying back a bit. "LEAVE HER ALONE!" She kicked the arrancar in the gut.
He flinched and dropped her. Saki took her chance and scrambled towards Natsumi. "WHY YOU LITTLE BRAT!" He grabbed the back of her shirt and pulled her up again. Saki struggled and gasped as he threw her.
Natsumi looked up and glared as she saw the arrancar lean over Saki's limp body. She payed Saki was only unconscious. She shot forward, intending to stab him in the back. Before she could, he spun and dodged the blade. But he had dropped Saki to do so. "Saki!" She leaned over her friend and found that she was still alive. "Thank goodness." She gasped as she felt a sudden pain in the back of her head, but didn't let go of Saki. She was going to protect her friend, even if it meant her life. Ichigo, come save me you idiot! Everything went black.
Saki whimpered as she woke up. Her whole body hurt, especially her head. She felt arms wrapped around her and looked up to find it was Natsumi. She let out a sigh of relief, but froze as she realized they were no longer on the street leading towards Kisuke's. The arrancar! She looked up and she froze, her face draining of all color. She looked up seeing they were in a large room, filled with people.
At the far end of the room, in a large chair, sat a man with slicked back brown hair. His eyes were cold as he watched her. She shivered. Standing behind him was another man with silver hair and a huge fox like grin. On the other side was another man with wearing a pair of goggles. They all wore white. But what really frightened her was the table filled with nine people, all wore a mask. And the blue haired arrancar sat at the table. She was sure they were all arrancars.
"Hmm.." Natsumi moaned waking up.
"Natsumi." Saki whispered weakly.
"Saki!" Natsumi froze as she looked up and spotted the arrancars and the three guys. "we... Them..." She frowned angrily.
"Natsumi?... Who are those guys?" She asked weakly.
"X-Captains Gin Ichimaru, Kaname Tosen, and Souske Aizen." Natsumi frowned angrily. "The traitors of the soul society!"
"Captains?" She looked up at the three men and shivered.
"Well, you both are awake now." The brown haired one, Aizen said calmly. "And will you tell us now Gin why you had them brought here?"
The silver haired one laughed. "Let's wait till Szyael returned with the results." Gin laughed. "While we wait... Why don't you girls introduce yourselves?"
"Why would we do that you traitor?!" Natsumi growled.
"If I heard correctly, your name is Natsumi isn't it?" Aizen said calmly and both girls froze. "And the silver haired girl's name is Saki. Judging from your expressions, I know I am right."
Gin laughed. "Saki huh... Saki Yokoaya isn't it?"
Saki froze. "You? How?"
Gin laughed, but before he could say anything a pink haired man with glasses walked in. "Ah! Szyael good. So?!"
"Congratulations." Szyael said calmly, taking a seat at the table. "You're a father."
The room went silent and Gin laughed. "Oh my! Never expected that to happen, oh well... Hmm... She looks a lot like her mother."
"Gin!" Aizen frowned angrily. "What is this about?"
"Oh... Well, to put it simply. I had a night once with Suzumi Yokoaya. I didn't expect anything to happen after, and I made sure she had no memories of it... But I guess I missed something, and we had a daughter." He pointed at Saki. "Saki over there is my daughter."
Saki froze and stared at the silver haired man in shock. He... He's my father... How? She stared at him not sure what emotions she was actually feeling at the moment, all she felt was cold and fear.
