Friendly help.
I did have a lemon in this chapter, but took the descriptiveness out of it. Sorry for those who enjoy them, but know there will be more in the future.
I wake half way throughout the day. Staring up at the ceiling, feeling really restless. With a low sigh, I turn my head, looking at Gin's peaceful looking face. I smile at him, admiring this man. So much new information that I'm finding out about myself. Coming to find out that he and I had known each other in the past, is just so exciting. Another sigh, I slowly get out of bed, looking back watching as he groans and rolls over. I don't want to wake him.
I quietly walk toward the door, closing it silently behind me. Suddenly a strange pull makes me start for the stairs. I walk down them, making it into the lobby, I hesitate at the door. I open the doors, the gust of wind greeting me with a cool breeze. I close my eyes as I take in the fresh air.
Stepping out on the porch, I open my eyes and stretch. I walk to the stairs, might as well look at the mass sea. The pull making me go in one specific direction, the South East of the Island. Making it on the beach, my eyes widen. I clamp my hands to my mouth as I silence a horrified scream. A large creature lying on the beach, the sand becoming soiled with its blood.
As I slowly move closer to it, I notice movement in its wounds. I freeze, my gut turns, all I can seem to do is feel its pain as I watch these maggot like creatures move about within this creatures wounds. I don't want to move any closer. Those creatures, I know nothing about. Should I turn back, wake someone? Suddenly an odd painful groan makes my fears disappear. I rush over to it, moving to its exposed underside.
I see it's chest rise and fall, with a sigh of relief, I move to look at it's head, pausing as I watch it's eyes look at me as I get into its line of sight. It's face reminds me a lot of a dragon. Is it a dragon?
Its blue/red eyes study me.
"Human"? It weakly asks, "Two children growing..", the voice pauses as it groans, "Help me..". I freeze, what had I just heard her say?
"Two"? I'm confused. She shifts for a moment, gasping out as the pain prevents her from moving.
"Y-yes", she manages before wincing in pain, twitching her side as those creatures dig further into her wounds. I take a step back, the ripping of flesh makes my stomach turn. Holding my hand to my mouth, I turn and rush toward the house.. Leaning on a tree trunk as I bring up whatever stomach contents I've got. The sound just couldn't leave me alone.
Taking a moment, I wipe my mouth with my sleeve and continue into the house, only one thing in mind. I've got to wake someone up.
Entering my room, I rush to the bed, "Gin", I call, pausing, waiting for a response. I place my knee on the bed, my hand on his shoulder, "Gin", I shake him, frantically wanting his advice, or even help.
He rolls over, groaning, opening his crimson eyes, "Hikaru"? He sits up, "What's wrong"? His tiredness disappears instantly at seeing the panic on my face.
"There is a dragon like creature on the beach", I point, on my feet as I look from him to the door, "It's hurt, very badly.. She asked for my help but I've got no clue what to do".
"Calm yerself", he steps in front of me, placing his hands on my shaking shoulders, "I'll see what she'll need help with". I watch as he peers at the window, sighing, he closes his eyes his face showing his disbelief.
"Only one problem.. I cannot leave the house durin' the day". I frown, turning, utterly disappointed as I make for the door. I gasp as two strong arms come around me, "Had ya asked Malakai"? He nuzzles my neck.
"No", I close my eyes as he plants gentle kisses on my neck, "Never thought of him", I breath.
"He is yer wolf, so ya should of thought of him". I feel my face flush at the though, shaking my head, I look back as Gin laughs.
"What"? I'm confused.
"Come now", he calms, "He's the only one that can move around freely durin' the day". He looks at me seriously.
"It's the only reason I allow him to stay", he sighs, then looks out the window. My heart seems to ache at the mere thought of him not being happy about another man being around me. I look down, feeling ashamed. I love the idea of Malakai being here, but I never once thought about how it would make Gin feel.
"Don' get me wrong", he catches my attention, "I trust ya, and besides its normal ta think of others as attractive". My eyes widen at this, my heart drops.
"But I'm not", I don't even know if I sound believable. He gives a chuckle as he walks over to me, placing his hand on my cheek.
"Don' lie ta me", he doesn't sound at all mad or angry about the thought. I'm still upset with myself for developing these kinds of feelings for him. It's hard to ignore the feelings, I do feel for the wolf, but I'm faithful to one person. Suddenly a painful thought hits me, "A-are you attracted to another"? I back away at his shocked look. Hands on my mouth as I'm beating myself for having no control. He smiles, shaking his head, "No one can compare to ya". I take a step back as he moves closer to me. Suddenly feeling as though I'm not good enough for him.
"Hikaru", I stop as he says my name, a small smile on his face, "Don' ya think poorly about yerself". My eyes widen, can he read my mind?
"He helped ya in a time I couldn'. It's only natural that ya developed some feelin's fer him", he places a hand on my shoulder.
"I trust the both of ya". My heart flutters in my chest as he brings his face closer to mine, eyes flutter closed as he claims my lips.
My lips parted just ever so slightly as he takes a step back, I look at him, pleading him with my eyes to give me more.
"Let's go find yer wolf", he walks past me, exiting the room. With a small smile of my own, I follow close behind him.
"How are ya feelin'"? He asks.
"Alright", I answer. I get why he's asking, honestly, I'd rather not have more of his blood. It bothers me that I need it to survive. With a sigh, maybe it's because I enjoy drinking it. That's a scary thought.
Looking down as I walk, that creature said two. Placing my hand on my stomach, is it true? The walk was silent, but not unpleasant. We walk through the hall's up the stairs, no sign of him. We search down the stairs. We walk into the living room and low and behold, there he is. Laying on the couch in his wolf form.
"Malakai get up", Gin's voice sounds stern. He moves his head and opens his eyes, slowly sliding off the couch with a stretch and a yawn.
"Hikaru needs yer help", that's all that was needed to say, he instantly goes on alert and looks at me. I walk over to him, smiling as I place my hand on his head, giving it a rub.
"There is a dragon like creature on the beach. She's hurt and asked for my help", I look at the ground, "I'm not sure why she wants it, but I'm sure it's important".
"Well, let's go take a look", he responds, he walks past us. I follow him, Gin follows me. We walk over to the front door, Malakai turns into his human form, I look away seeing as how all he's got on is boxers.
"Is this her"? He asks as he stands a distance from the creature.
"Yes", I answer. We continue over to her, once we get close, I instantly notice that her eyes are closed. Slightly panicking, "Oh my gosh, is she...". "No", Malakai interrupts me. I watch as he looks her over, with a sigh, he turns to me, "Can you get a few buckets of water, and a cloth"?
"Yeah, not a problem", I turn, before I could get out of earshot, I hear him say, "I'll begin by taking these leashes out".
I rush around the kitchen, finding several large items to use for holding water. As I'm filling up one, I rummage through the drawers and find a few clothes. One large container filled with water, I place another under the tap, I rush outside with the filled one, place it on the ground and rush back in. I hear movement coming from upstairs. Moments later, Krystal and Vincent come walking into the kitchen.
"What's going on"? Krystal asks.
"There is an injured dragon creature on the beach", I answer.
"I do believe it's due to Aizen", Gin adds in as he walks into the room. I look at him. He smiles, "I can smell him". I move the filled container out of the way so I can put another under the running water. I watch as Krystal walks over to the window, she gasps.
I ignore everyone as I grab one of the two filled containers and rush out the door, placing it on the ground by the dragon and rushing back in to grab another.
I follow his orders, whatever he tells me, I do, cleaning the wounds. Working as a team, time seemed to go by fast. When the buckets got dirty, Malakai just told me to dump them and fill them with the sea water. Not long we are both working on one giant gash.
"How are you doing"? He asks, pausing from what he's doing. I look at him, confused. With a smile, he grabs my hand and places it on my stomach. Smiling to myself, "I'm doing great. No need to worry".
I can tell he doesn't believe me, but I'm not going to tell him that I'm feeling faint. Not just that, I'm a bit worried that I'll actually be carrying two children, not just one as everyone thought.
"So, you and Gin...", Malakai pauses, "Have known each other when you were kids"? I look at him for a brief moment before going back to work.
"Pictures are showing it, as well as what the spider demons are saying", I start, "But sadly I can't remember anything from those days". Maybe I was too young to remember, but thinking about it, I wasn't.
"Doesn't it make you wonder"? He asks, "That when you seen each other again, after all these years. Does that mean he remember who you were"? I watch as Malakai moves to the next wound, it's a good question he had asked. Did he remember me?
"I guess I'll just have to ask him", I say, looking into the dirty bucket. Time for another bucket full of clean water. As I walk over to the stream of water, I feel eyes on me, I'm sure Malakai is watching me. I ignore him just to do my part. It's taking quite a bit out of me to keep going as I am.
Nightfall, the other three come out to help. With protest, Gin forces me to stop working. I had been at it all day, I didn't want to stop till all the wounds look clean and healthy, but I also knew he is right. I needed a break. With a sigh, I sit by the dragon's head, her eyes open, she winces as her wounds get touched.
"Are you thirsty"? Malakai asks, I look over at him, he's walking over to me.
"Yeah, actually I am", I answer. He nods his head, instead of stopping beside her, he turns and goes to the house to gather some refreshments. I look away as I notice the dragon eyeing me, studying me.
"Whose children are you carrying"? She asks. I look from her to Gin, with a relieved sigh, I look at her once more, "Please, just say child". I place my hand on my stomach.
"Gin's", I didn't hesitate.
"Shocking. I'm amazed that he's sticking around", she responds. Narrowing my eyes at her, I open my mouth, only for her to cut me off, "I don't mean it in a bad way".
"I just know him, he's not usually the type to want to stay".
"Does everyone know him"? I ask, beginning think the worst.
"Yes, human, most know him.. I however know him from when I was just a young teen", she pauses as she winces, "He saved my life then". My eyes wide, I smile, loving the sound that he did help others before.
"He lied to Aizen about it. He didn't think it right to let such a young creature die. I'm unsure if he does remember, but I'm sure if he doesn't, it's because he is protecting everyone from Aizen", she adds to her story.
"That day, he said something to me, mentioned you", she groans as she feels more pain than usual. With a small smile, I wait patiently, I'm sure she'll tell me more when she get's the chance. It sounds as though this is all before he had his demonic power.
"W-what did he say"? I couldn't help but ask.
"I never believed the things I had heard about the young man. My belief was strengthened as he saved my life. When I got the chance, I confronted him about the rumour's I've heard". She answers.
"He told me that he's never been with a woman. He had mentioned that there is one girl that he's waiting for, and that he can't wait to see her again".
"Ya fergot one little detail", Gin's voice causes me to shift. I look over at him, he's walking toward me.
"I had said, that girl, when she grows up, is the perfect woman fer me, in every way", he finishes. He sits down beside me, putting his arm around me. I smile and lean into him, closing my eyes as all my doubts fade.
"All wounds are bandaged and cleaned", Krystal's voice interrupts this moment. I look over at her, a frown on my face.
"Perfect", I hear Vincent say. I look over and smile, Malakai is walking over to use with a bottle of water and a few blood bags.
"Thank you", I say as he hands me the bottle, I open it and take a huge mouthful, relishing the feel of the cold water sliding down my throat. After drinking half the bottle, I turn my attention toward the dragon and see she's fast asleep. I'm worried about her, will she be ok?
"The smell of blood is so strong now", Justin's voice intrudes.
"Yes, and no eating the dragon, spider"! Malakai barks at him. I look over, watch as he smirks, "Awe, is the puppy still not trusting of me"?
"I'm no puppy"! Malakai snaps.
"Stop your fighting, there are two pregnant woman present", Krystal groans. Both of them turn their attention toward her, growl and snap, "Stay out of this"! With that, Vincent gets between her and the two, growling at them. I can feel the irritation from Gin, moving to the side, giving him room. I watch as he gets up, walks over to the three boys. His tail comes out, just as he stops the three of them lunge, with ease he knocks Malakai and Justin back. Grabs Vincent by the throat with ease.
The two stare at one another, a silent conversation going on, when suddenly Vincent nods, Gin does too and he lets him go.
Justin and Malakai are now at one another, both ready for the attack. Gin walks between them just as they both lunge. He hit's Malakai with his tail, grabs Justin the same as he had Vincent and pins Malakai on the ground with his tail.
"Get along"! He snaps, "We aren't enemies. So for the moment, just set yer differences aside and act like adults"! I can see the horried looks on their faces, but quickly settle down.
"S-sorry", Malakai sounds so small. Nodding, Gin lets him go, Justin on the other hand isn't caring. With a growl, Gin pins him to a tree, his tail aiming for Justin's chest.
"I can tell that the two of ya can't get along"! He pauses, keeping himself in control, "Grow up"! Everyone watching as Justin shakes his head, his gaze focused on Gin now.
"I'll try", he finally responds. With a satisfied sigh, Gin nods and lets him down. He looks over at Malakai who is now standing beside me.
"Wow", Krystal gushes, "It's already this late". Everyone of us look up and see that the sky is beginning to become light.
"Time sure does fly when yer havin' fun", Gin chuckles. Ignoring how I'm feeling, I stare intently at the dragon. She's now laying comfortably, her eyes closed as she sleeps.
"I want to stay out here, with her", I look over at Gin, knowing he'd no doubt disapprove. With a sigh, he walks over to me, "Ya sure"? I glance at the dragon before nodding my head at him, he smiles a warm smile, giving me a kiss on the forehead he turns his attention toward the two boys. I watch as Krystal and Vincent make their way into the house.
"Can ya both be grown up"? He asks, his full attention on the two, "If I hear of ya two gettin' into a fight, yer goin' ta have ta deal with me", he threatens them both. I watch as the two curtly nod their heads. He nods his head, turns to me, gives me a peck on the lips and makes his way into the house.
"He talks funny, don't you think"? Justin asks. I twitch at how he's making fun of my man, I feel Malakai move away. I glare at Justin.
"What"? He asks, not caring about how it's making me feel, "It makes me laugh". His smirk disappears when he looks past me at Malakai.
"Stop"! I snap, "Or leave"! Justin takes a small step back, looking shocked and confused at me. I also see a slight hint of fear.
"I'll keep that in mind", Justin puts his hands up, "Don't piss off a pregnant woman".
I continue to glare daggers at him, with a sigh, he shakes his head, and begins walking.
"I'll just go, I don't want to get torn to pieces". Malakai and I both watch as he leaves.
"I'll go in and get you some blankets", Malakai smiles, he turns and looks at me. I smile at him, nodding my head. It's a good idea to get them, I may fall asleep. As he makes his way back to the house, I look at the dragon's head, "Please be alright". I sit down, bringing my knees up to my chest. I rest my chin on them, watching her. I'm doing everything I can, to ignore this strange, uncomfortable feeling from not bothering to ask for Gin's blood. I do feel bad about it, but at the same time, I'm scared. Every time I drink his blood it makes me feel very strange. With a sigh, I hide my face and groan.
"If you are worried about the babies, don't be", I startle as I hear her voice. I look over at her, she continues, "Just sort out your issues and move forward".
"H-how did you know"? I ask. I'm a little surprised that she sensed it.
"I have an intuition for things like this", she lifts her head slightly, "If you've got a concern about them, whatever was threatening them before, is no longer there, so take your time of figuring things out".
I just stare at her, intently stare at her. How the heck does she know of the predicament I'm in. The one in which Koga... I look down, unable to even think it. I hug myself, comforting myself due to the sudden fear that envelops me the moment that name had gone through my head.
All is forgotten in an instant as she lets out a painful groan, lays her head down and closes her eyes. Frowning, I never like seeing others in pain, I'm fully aware that her type of pain cannot be taken away so quick. It takes time to heal.
Malakai walks over to me, drops a blanket on my head, and plops a pillow behind me. I look at him, he had taken that time to change, before he could walk away, I grab his pant leg. He looks down at me.
"Can you stay with me"? I'm terrified. Since that name crossed my mind all I know is fear. He nods his head, takes a step back, and shifts into his wolf form. He's always doing this for me. It's soothing to run my fingers through his soft fur. I smile as he shakes his undamaged clothes off himself. He walks over to me and lays down, resting his head on his paws. I lay back, my head on my pillow, my hand brushing through his coat, I close my eyes and allow myself to actually sleep.
Krystal & Vincent
They walk into their room, Krystal sits on the bed, Hikaru being the only thing she can think of. She can tell something doesn't seem quite right about her. Vincent brings himself behind her, his hands on her shoulders as he massages them.
"Don't worry about her", he starts, "I'm sure Gin will be able to figure it out". Krystal rolls her head, closes her eyes and parts her lips. What he's doing for her is feeling so amazing. He leans in, kissing her neck, moving his hand to the front of her, resting it just under her shirt.
"I'm sure things will get worse from here on out", he breaths, "I'd like to claim you right now". Just for a moment Krystal looks at him from the corner of her eye. He is right about one thing, things may not be easier from here on out. Not knowing where Koga is, the demon that they all assume Aizen let out, and having to keep her and Hikaru safe.
Vincent grabs the hem of her shirt, lifting it, only stopping when Krystal holds his hands in place.
"If it wasn't so dire, I'd say no tonight, but you are right", she says. With a grin, Vincent kisses her neck, she allows him to remove her shirt, revealing her bra. She turns, claims his lips and the two fall into the mattress.
Aizen
He paces the room he's in, waiting impatiently for the person he has summoned, the demon he freed. Once he senses another in the room, he stops.
"Stop hiding from me, get out here"! He orders, unamused.
"Whatever you say, sir", a deep voice seems to flow around the entire room. Moments after a man with black hair, remnants of silver in it, steps out of the shadows and bows just a few feet away from him.
"I have a serious problem", Aizen begins, his pacing continues.
"What kind"? The man asks, he watches Aizen with his red/purple eyes, nearly the same colour of Gin's when he is in his demonic form.
"Gin, the traitor has gone to Rufus's clan", he fumes as he thinks the things he's going to say, "Has impregnated a young woman", he continues to pace, he does not want to look at the man he has summoned before him. The man's face retorts into that of utter confusion to what he just heard. For a moment he smiles, only frowning when Aizen turns his full attention back to him.
"That sure is a problem", he grins, "What is she, vampire, demon"?
"Human", Aizen answers with disgust. The man looks dumbfounded, could it be that very human that he had heard Gin talk about, long ago? He shakes his head and looks at Aizen.
"From what I've heard, a vampire is also pregnant", Aizen ponders out loud, "Rufus's adopted daughter".
"I take it you'd like me get rid of the girls"? He asks. Aizen's face brightens up with that question, he grins, "Not quite".
"I want Gin's human", he doesn't hesitate saying the next part, "As for Krystal, kill her". The man looks at him knowingly and smiles, he bows once more before slowly moving back, favouring the shadows over being in the light.
"If you screw up", Aizen warns, "Your head is mine". He looks down at his hand, finally remembering the dart he is holding. He lifts it over his head, without looking sends it flying through the air behind him. It lands on the picture he has up of Gin, "Gin, you're going to regret leaving me". As he walks, he laughs like a lunatic.
Normal Pov
"Human", the dragon's voice brings me back to the real world. I open my eyes with a groan, sitting up, I feel Malakai move. I gasp out, seeing the dragon on all fours. I smile and quickly get to my feet, instantly regretting it as I feel dizzy. I felt myself falling back when I feel two arms catch me. Peering back, I smile at Malakai.
"It's early afternoon, I'm well enough to leave". I frown, "However, I'd still love to aid you in your quest of getting rid of a common enemy". She takes a short step forward.
"I will not be able to help you personally". I frown at the last part. It's disappointing that a creature her size doesn't bother with fighting.
"I give you this for my thanks", she adds, moving her closed talens, she opens them and a fair sized egg lands on the sand below. I gasp, the egg is nearly all black.
"This is the reason why Aizen attacked me", she places her talen on the ground, "Please take good care of it". Before I could utter a word, she opens her massive wings and flaps them. Whatever sound I was able to make, it's drowned out by the sound of the wind being cut by her massive wings.
"Look after yourself, be mindful of what the other's tell you". Just like that, she lifts off so fast and disappears in the distance, that I wasn't able to say a single word. Malakai already formed back into his wolf form, he walks over to the egg and wraps himself around it as best as he can, "We have to figure something out", he rests his head on the ground, "I'm sure the only one who can figure this one out is Gin". With a sigh, I nod my head and turn, looking at the house. What am I suppose to tell him now? How is an egg going to aid us in the fight against Aizen?
MUAHAHAHAHAHAH Cliffhanger. I hope you didn't have to wait too long for this updated chapter. Thank you for the patients.
