Sai smiled as he stood on the stool and the tailor took his measurements. "Naruto's going to be so happy."
"No kidding. You two are getting married soon. I don't think I've seen that blonde fool so happy before," Sasuke said shaking his head. Sai looked at Sasuke confused.
"I thought normally Naruto is this happy. Although I'm glad the whole pregnancy is over with. All of the food combinations he made were pretty gross. But I'm glad this is happening," Sai said happily as he stepped down and Sasuke stepped up to get his was going according to plan as they prepared for the wedding. Sasuke and Shikamaru had been helping out for the last week under Naruto's instruction. Naruto wasn't helping that much do to Minato not wanting to be separated from his parent. Sai thought it was adorable. So did Shikamaru. But he thought everything to do with the baby was adorable. Sasuke dreaded the thought of a baby being around them. "Do you think Naruto should wear a dress or a suit?"
"A dress. The dobe with look hilarious. But nice at the same time," Sasuke said as Shikamaru elbowed him. Sai nodded then turned. He smiled as he turned to see Naruto sitting on a bench playing with their son. Sai watched as Naruto lifted the baby into the air then flubbered his little stomach. Minato laughed as Naruto tickled him then stopped. Naruto got up and walked over bringing the little blue eyed and black haired baby with him. "What's the matter dobe?"
"Nothing I just wanted to say thanks for helping us," Naruto said smiling. Sasuke nodded. "So what were you guys talking about?"
"Weather you should wear a dress or not," Sai answered. Naruto's face went bright red as he shook his head. "I guess that's a no."
"Hell no," Naruto said wide eyed. Sai smiled and kissed him on the nose. "We need someone to watch Minato during the wedding."
"I'll do that," Shikamaru said smiling. The baby smiled and laughed reaching for Shikamaru. Naruto handed him to Shikamaru and stood on the stool for his measurements. After Naruto happily helped Sai and Sasuke with the decorations. Shikamaru lifted the baby into the air smiling and making noises. Minato in turn laughed. Shikamaru smiled as Minato laughed and flailed his arms. "He is so cute. No, He's adorable. Sasuke, I want one, too."
"You sound like a child Shikamaru and no. We're not getting a child," Sasuke said not turning away from the decorating. Shikamaru sulked and looked at little Minato.
"You'd like it if we had a baby wouldn't you? There'd be someone for you to play with then," Shikamaru cooed. Sasuke sighed shaking his head.
"Stop talking to the baby like he'll respond Shikamaru," Sasuke said stepping of the ladder. He flinched as a rock hit his head. He looked at Shikamaru who was still playing with the baby. "Would you take your child Naruto. I don't want Shikamaru to get attached to him."
"No, I am putting streamers up. Why don't you take him if you're that worried?" Naruto said walking up the wall. Sasuke scowled and continued putting up decorations. After a few hours the decorating was finished. Naruto smiled and tackled Sai in a hug and kiss. Sasuke frowned and turned to Shikamaru.
"How come you never hug me like that?" Sasuke asked. Shikamaru looked away from the baby, shrugged, and went back to playing with the baby. Sasuke looked at the ground as his shoulders slumped forward. "Shikamaru just ignored me."
"Well, I wouldn't blame him Sasuke-kun. After all you did just call him child like," Sai said smiling falsely. Sasuke glared at the pale ninja.
"Who the hell are you calling Sasuke-kun?" Sasuke asked angrily.
"Relax he's just messing around. There now all that's left is for the guests to come and us to get ready," Naruto said happily. He grabbed Sai's arm and walked off. Shikamaru followed leaving Sasuke alone. Shikamaru pulled Naruto away from Sai. "What?"
"The grooms not supposed to see the bride before the wedding. Which means you two will be getting ready in separate rooms. Besides the suits aren't completely ready," Shikamaru said smiling as Minato pulled on his lip. Naruto nodded and headed back to the tailor. Shikamaru smiled then started playing with the baby again. He turned and started walking back. Shikamaru grimaced and jumped into the air as a hand came out of the ground. He looked at it curiously. "Why's there only a hand?"
"Found you boy," a deep voice Shikamaru recognized said. He turned to see Kakuzu behind him. Shikamaru turned and kicked only to be hit away. He looked everywhere for the other Akatsuki. Shikamaru jumped up and ran. He quickly hid Minato under a bench and distracted Kakuzu. "It's futile. You'll pay for making me loose that cash cow. And you'll pay right now."
"Shikamaru!? Where are you? I need Minato back now!" Naruto yelled walking. He turned as he heard a small coo. He walked over and listened. It came again from under the bench in front of him. Naruto leaned down and almost fainted. "WHAT THE HELL KIND OF JOKE IS THIS SHIKAMARU?!"
"Naruto, the Hokage wanted to see us," Sai said behind him. A minute later they were looking at Tsunade's worried face. "What is it?"
"The Akatsuki are some where in the village. I need you two to tell the others and find them. I'm not sure what they're after but I want them out of my village," she said seriously. Naruto and Sai nodded. They found everyone else together talking.
"Hey guys, what's wrong?" Ino asked.
"The Akatsuki are here in the village. We need to find them quickly and get rid of them," Sai said quickly. Everyone nodded.
"But we can't do it without Shikamaru. We dono where he is," Choji said looking at the ground. Naruto's eyes widened. "What?"
"Last time we saw any of them it was Kakauzu and Hidan who kidnapped me. They tried to Kill Asuma sensei, but Shikamaru stopped them. Maybe they're after Shikamaru for revenge?" Naruto said quickly. The others nodded. They all turned as a high pitched crazy laugh sounded behind them.
"You catch on quick for a stupid brat!" Hidan yelled. He slowly walked towards them laughing. "Well, now that I think about it Kakuzu already caught that brat. He's probably going through hell right now. Hey blonde, you should be happy it was just me that time. But your friend, he's in for a world of hurt. Especially since it's Kakuzu. He loves seeing people in pain. It's really kinda fun to watch. Well, bring it on. I didn't show myself just to talk. I wanna fight!"
"Shit. Ino, take Naruto and leave," Sai said jumping in front of them. Ino looked at Naruto. She grabbed on arm and ran pulling him with her. Naruto struggled to go back, but Ino had an iron grip. Naruto struggled against Ino's grip only to fail again. He immediately stopped as Minato started crying. Naruto looked at his son and frowned as he realized the baby was staring at something. He looked in the same direction only to scream. Ino looked back annoyed as Naruto stopped again.
"Naruto what are you doing?" Ino said turning. She froze as she saw a hand on Naruto's neck. It only had a few strange tentacles extending from the back. She screamed letting go of Naruto's arm. "Someone help!"
"Shut up. Instead of screaming shouldn't you be trying to help?" a deep voice behind her said. Ino slowly turned around. One of the Akatsuki they rescued Naruto from was right behind her. She went to scream when her mouth was covered by the strange tentacles. "I thought I said shut up."
"I-Ino, r-run," Naruto gasped out. She looked at him confused. Then he threw a kunai at Kakuzu. Naturally he dodged not dropping either of them. Ino gasped as the hand dropped her and it fell to the ground with her. She looked around and stopped. She turned and made a hand sign. Kakuzu prepared to dodge. She smiled as she cast mind transfer jutsu at him. She smiled as it worked. Ino quickly dropped Naruto and returned to her body. Naruto coughed and stood. He grabbed Ino and carefully placed Minato on her stomach. A moment later Ino woke up. She looked around and gasped. "What?"
"Shikamaru's chakara. I sensed it from that direction. We have to help him," Ino said pointing. Naruto nodded and followed her directions. They stopped and Ino made Naruto put her down. She carefully walked around a corner. Naruto quickly ran to Ino as she screamed. Naruto gasped and turned Minato into his body. "Shikamaru wake up."
"I a-m a-wake. It-s just a dra-g to op-en my eye-s," Shikamaru wheezed opening his left eye. Naruto looked around then made shadow clones. He came over and handed Minato to Ino. She stood up and side stepped. Naruto looked at Shikamaru in disbelief. Blood was slowly leaking from a large gash from his upper right forehead crossing over his eye down to his chin and from his mouth. Another gash started on his left cheek bone to his ear cutting it in half. His arms were tied behind his back bleeding as well as his wrists from the wire that bound them. There were holes through his chest leading down to his stomach and his thighs. His feet were bound and bleeding as could barely look at his friend. The blood made him want to turn away and puke. But he still had to take him to the hospital. Naruto leaned down and carefully unbound Shikamaru's hands and feet then gently picked him up. Ino and Naruto winced at the pained cry Shikamaru emitted as he was picked up. They quickly made their way to the hospital. Naruto shook his head and stopped.
"What are you doing? If we don't hurry Shikamaru could die," Ino yelled. Naruto nodded and ran in another direction. "Naruto!"
"Granny Tsunade is closer than the hospital. If we go to her Shikamaru can be saved right?" Naruto asked looking back at Ino. She nodded in disbelief. A minute later they burst into the Hokage office.
"What is the meaning of this Naruto?" Tsunade asked looking at them. Naruto looked at Ino. She nodded and cleared the desk of paper work. As soon as it was cleared Naruto put Shikamaru carefully on the desk. Tsunade looked at them then Shikamaru in disbelief. She immediately started medical treatment. Naruto watched closely as Tsunade healed the fallen genius. He turned as the door flew open and Kakuzu came in. He created four shadow clones. Three attacked as the last created a rasengan in Naruto's hand. He charged at Kakuzu with the rasengan. Kakuzu growled and threw his hand catching Naruto in the face, slamming him to the ground. Naruto yelped as tentacles wrapped around him. He struggled as they grew tighter. "Naruto!"
"Now, it's your turn after I kill them," Kakuzu said looking at Naruto then Ino and Tsunade. "Now, die!"
