Red and Yellow burst into the final clearing, only to find that it was drastically different from the others. A single thin path lead to a flat circular platform. Off to the sides were violent gushing waters. Anybody that fell in would be ripped apart by the current. Red and Yellow ran down the path and onto the platform. When Orpheus turned around, they were shocked to see him holding a small brightly glowing diamond.
"This entire cave structure is amazing!" he exclaimed, pocketing the diamond, "This place goes down for miles!" Red stepped forward and glared at him.
"Alright Orpheus, we want answers," he demanded, "Why did you attack our school? What was that diamond? And what do you plan to use it for?" Orpheus sneered at the two of them.
"I suppose if you've made it this far, you deserve some answers." he admitted, "Listen well, for I will only say this once. This school is ancient. It's been around since the domestication of the first pokemon. Back then, the ancients didn't use electricity. They drew power from crystals like this. Most of the crystals have disappeared into history, this is one of the last. I need this crystal to achieve my dream." He took out the crystal and looked at it.
"The complete and utter annihilation of this reality." Red and Yellow looked at him, shocked. The thought of such a goal was so alien to them.
"But why?" Red asked, "Why would you want to destroy this world?" Orpheus looked at him darkly.
"Because this world deserves to go." he said. Then, he reached into his belt and pulled out a pokeball.
"But I have said too much! If you somehow survive to relay that information, so be it, but I will do my best to kill both of you right now." Then, he threw out his pokeball.
"Aggron, use giga impact!" The huge pokemon charged at Red and Yellow like a bulldozer. Red and Yellow jumped out of the way, releasing their pokemon as they did so.
"Gravvy, rollout!" Yellow shouted, gravvy crashed into Aggron's side, knocking it towards Red.
"Poli, vital throw!" Red ordered. Poli grabbed Aggron and threw him off the platform. Orpheus withdrew it before it could fall into the water.
"Impressive," Orpheus commented, "But don't think you've won yet." Suddenly, two Steelix burst from the ground beneath them.
"Steelix headbutt!" he yelled. The two Steelix charged at their targets head first. Yellow sprouted Butterfree wings and flew out of the way. Then, she threw Ratty at the Steelix.
"Ratty, use super fang!" she yelled. Raticate's hardened fangs sank into Steelix's body as if it were made of butter. Steelix roared in pain and swatted Raticate aside.
"Ratty!" she called out, and returned Raticate to its pokeball. Then, she threw out her doduo. "Quick! Use tri-attack!"
Doduo fired a triangle-shaped attack at the already weakened Steelix. When the attack hit, an electric shock ran through Steelix's body. Then, the pokemon froze and collapsed. Yellow looked over at Red and saw that he had defeated his Steelix as well. Yellow looked over at Orpheus and was surprised to see that he had already released a pokemon. This pokemon had a spike on its chest and paws. Its wolf-like features gave it the look of a warrior.
"Lucario, extremespeed!" he ordered. Then, like a flash of lighting, Lucario flashed past Red and Yellow. Suddenly, all of their pokemon fell, covered in injuries. Red looked at Yellow.
"Quick! We have to find him!" he shouted, and began to look around. Suddenly, a shape appeared behind him. Yellow noticed and looked at Red in horror.
"Red, behind you!" she shouted. Red looked behind him, but Lucario was too fast. Its paw slammed into Red's knee, snapping it out of place. Red gasped in pain and fell to the ground. Yellow covered her mouth in horror. Red tried to get up, and failed. He looked at Yellow, pain evident on his face.
"Watch out Yellow..." he said. Yellow nodded and looked at Lucario, who had returned to his master's side. Yellow sent out all of her pokemon and told them to attack. Lucario vanished again, almost leaving an after-image behind. Lucario took down Yellow's pokemon one by one, leaving no room for counterattacks. Then, Lucario slammed its palm into Yellow, knocking her back several meters.
"T-too fast..." Yellow muttered as she struggled to her feet.
"I commend you on your bravery so far, but even that won't save you," Orpheus said, "I'm afraid that I must be going now, so I'll finished this quickly. Lucario, Aura sphere."
Lucario assumed its battle stance and began to charge up a sphere of energy. Yellow could feel the difference in this attack from Phobos's Kadabra's. It would take more than a vine whip to take out this sphere of energy. Yellow knew her Kitty and Chuchu wouldn't be able to stop that attack. Lucario closed its eyes and focused its power; then, the Aura sphere doubled in size.
"This attack will be more than enough to end this!" Orpheus exclaimed, "This Lucario has been specially trained in special attack and speed!" Lucario finished charging the sphere and pointed it at Yellow. Orpheus sneered.
"Fire!" he said. Lucario shot the huge ball of energy right at Yellow. I can dodge it! she thought quickly, Wait for it... NOW! Yellow threw herself out of the way of the sphere and rolled away, only barely stopping herself from falling off the platform. Then, she noticed that Orpheus was shaking his head.
"Sorry," he said, "But an Aura sphere never misses." Yellow turned to see the Aura sphere coming back around. Yellow desperately looked for a way out, but she was cornered.
"Game over." Yellow heard Red shout, but she couldn't move. Suddenly, she felt a hand push her to the ground and she heard an explosion. Yellow turned just in time to see Red's tattered body float in the air for an instant, then fall into the water.
