Sam was asleep in Zoe's office when Zoe came back half an hour later. "Sam," she said, shaking her shoulder gently. "Sam, wake up." Sam woke up and looked at Zoe, confused to why she was in her office, before she remembered.

"The results! What did they say?" Zoe looked at Sam for a a moment before replying. "You're pregnant." Tears came to Sam's eyes and she blinked them away, determined not to let them fall. "Come here," said Zoe, and enveloped her in a hug. Sam began to cry quietly, trying to hide her sobs, but Zoe heard. "Why are you crying?" she asked. "Don't you want it?"

Sam shook her head."No, I do want it; I'm just not sure if Tom will."

"Why not?" asked Zoe, confused. "Because we've only just got Nathan, and it's too soon to have another baby," said Sam.

"Oh, OK," said Zoe. "Well, why don't you go and see Tom, and ask him about it. Even if you decide not to keep it it'll be much easier to have Tom there than cope with it on your own."

"OK," said Sam. She got up off the sofa and put her hand on the door handle. Before she opened it she turned around to face Zoe. "Thanks, Zoe," she said.

"No problem," said Zoe. "And if there's any problems, you know where to find me."

"OK, thanks," said Sam, before she took a deep breath and headed off to find Tom.

Sam walked into reception to find Tom standing talking to Noel. "Tom?" she said nervously. "Can I talk to you for a minute?"

"Of course," said Tom. He then turned to Noel. "I'll be back in a minute."

"OK," said Noel, and got on with some paperwork.

Sam walked towards the staffroom and Tom followed her, shutting the door behind him. "What's up?" Sam hesitated for a moment.

"I-I-I, I'm p-p-pregn-n-nant," she stuttered. Tom looked at her, and then sighed with relief. "What?" Sam asked.

"Well, when you were sick earlier, I thought you were ill," he explained. "I'm glad you're pregnant."

"So, you want to keep it?" asked Sam nervously.

"Of course I do," he said, before enveloping her in a tight hug.
