sorry that I haven't posted lately, just been busy. anyway, enjoy

Mavis rarely left the room anymore unless escorted by Johnny. She just felt that the atmosphere of this house had gotten more mean and dark than it was before. No one ever spoke at dinner while Mavis could sense everyone scowling at her from the corner of her eye. Eventually Mavis wouldnt take it anymore and always left early to retreat back to the room. Of course she was immediately followed by Johnny. She also started to notice that the smell of Johnny blood was becoming more distinct and aromatic. She often found herself gazing at his neck and thinking of what it would be like to have some. She had actually woken up once to find her fangs right on his neck. She was absolutely losing it so much to an extent as she didn't know how much longer she would last without hurting him.

"Hey Mavis I know it's been kinda bad lately but you wanna maybe watch a movie to lighten the mood?" Johnny asked one evening.

"No thanks" she replied smiling sadly.

"Oh come on Mavis, if your not going to do this for yourself at least do it for me."

"Fine" she finally replied, getting up, after a few moments.

It was late so no one was up. Mavis sat on the large sofa imbedded into Johnny's side with a bowl of popcorn in between them. And for a moment, she was happy. That was until she heard the hammer on a gun cock behind her. She sighed,"well it was fun while it lasted" she thought to herself. "that gun will do you no good" she said without turning.

"What?" Johnny said turning to face her but then saw his dad pointing a gun at Mavis."dad! What are you doing!" He yelled jumping up to stand in the path of the bullet.

"Step away son, this has to be done." He said anxiously. Mavis got up and gently put her hand on Johnny's shoulder,"I'm going to go back to the room," she said sadly. "Thanks for trying to cheer me up though" she said.

"Don't move a muscle!" Tom stated.

"That gun won't do anything" she said again.

"Yea but it's loaded with silver bullets" he said.

She rolled her eyes," I don't know what you've heard but I'm not a warewolf. Silver dosent do anything to me.

"What?" Johnny said " you could have told me. I could have just gotten you a ring made of silver"

"You could have but I love you more for going the extra mile for my safety" she said smiling even though Johnny could tell it wasn't genuine. She started walking and stopped in front of Tom with the barrel right over her heart."if you're going to pull that trigger, do it now and get over with it."

When the gun didn't go off she walked past him. Johnny followed looking disappointedly at his father as he passed leaving Tom alone. He looked at the gun in his trembling hands and dropped it before fully dropping to his knees. He pulled his hands to his face from the Tears that had started to well up in his eyes. He couldn't do it.

Johnny walked in to see Mavis laying down facing the wall again. He had lost count at how many times he had walked in to see her like this. And it killed him a little on the inside every time. He sighed, shut the door, and went to lay down next to her slowly draping his arm over her waist to see how she would react. She did nothing but tense up at his touch. He moved his arm up to touch her face and found that his hand came away wet with her tears. Johnny sighed and tried wiping them away but Mavis just swiped at his hand making him pull away. "You can't hide your tears from me Mavis I know you feel crushed." She doesn't answer back so he continues. "You can break up with me if you want, I'll just take the ring back and buy you a plane ticket home," he says quietly and sadly into her ear.

At this Mavis quickly turns over to face him and pushes him away slightly so she can look at him,"what did you say?"

"I'm not going to pretend I don't see you Mavis. Your hurt, and looking at you hurt makes me hurt. I can see how much your trying but I can also see how much pain your in." He says,"and it's all my fault. It was my idea to bring you here, it is my family that leaves you in agony whenever they turn their head away in disgust. I also see the pain in your eyes when you look at my neck Mavis. You want it so bad that it hurts yet you won't take it when I offer." He's silent for a long time before he goes on," I just want to see your pain stop Mavis. So I'm sending you home."

"No!" She yells. "Please Johnny don't. I'll be happier, I will, just give me another chance please!" She begs holding his arms tight. "I'll...I'll make friends and be happy. I'll never look at your neck again or even think about your... Blood. Just please don't leave me!" Mavis begs again. Tears now stream down her cheeks.

"It's for your own good Mavis!" He says slightly louder now."maybe my family's right. Maybe I am no good for you." He says sitting up on the side of the bed with his back to Mavis.

Mavis sits up and pulls herself to his back wrapping her arms around his shoulders and digging her face into his back as if he would slip away if she let go."please" she whispers."I would just be more miserable without you."

"This has to be done Mavis" he sighs.

She looks at him seriously ,"if you send me away Johnny, I will hurt myself."

"No! Don't say stuff like that" Johnny turns to face her.

"I'm serious Johnny, I will do it. You are the only thing tethering me to this cold and evil world and if you aren't there to help make this world a little less cold and evil for me, there's nothing keeping me here.

"Mavis".

"Johnny" she says back quickly.

A long silence passes before before he sighs in defeat."ok" she hugs him before they both drift off and wonder about what will happen the next day.
