Okay here it is next chapter. Really sorry that this is extremely late, I've just been very lazy but now I'll try to get chapters out more often. Please leave a review and I hope you enjoy this chapter.
It was finally Saturday again and Ruby was going to hang out with Weiss again. Problem is she had no idea what they were going to do in Vale.
She was busy thinking what they were going to do when Weiss suddenly burst in the door and had an uncharacteristically bright smile on her face.
Ruby was pretty weirded out by Weiss' good mood.
"Weiss are you feeling okay?" She asked with concern
"I'm feeling very excited because on the way to the dorms I saw a flyer for a duos tournament in that sci-fi shooter we always play. And it's today!" Weiss said excitingly.
"What's the name of that sci-fi shooter game? I forgot." Ruby asked
"Actually I don't remember either. Oh right I remember, it's called Delirium of Disorder." Weiss said.
"Oh yeah, so there is a tournament for that game today?"
"Yes, Ruby we have to enter." Weiss said. "I am very positive we can win."
"Alright let's do it, I have nothing else to do." Ruby said. Weiss was excited to compete in the tournament. She was always very competitive and loved to be the best in things and now she was going to prove to be the best at this game.
They told Yang and Blake they were going to Vale to compete in the tournament. They both wished them good luck, though they were surprised that Weiss would do something like this. Yang even accused Weiss of being a nerd but she denied it. Blake however, was happy that she was going to be alone with Yang.
Ruby and Weiss got on an airship and got to Vale. They then headed to the location to where the tournament was. When they got to the place they were surprised at the size of the location. It was a very large convention center and when they got inside there were a huge amount of people, easily over 20,000.
Only a very few amount were actually competing, the rest were there to watch.
"I had no idea so many people care about this game so much." Ruby was amazed at the sheer volume of people and had gotten nervous about playing in front of a large crowd. Weiss wasn't fazed by the number of people at all as she was used to performing in front of large crowds. She also was happy that there were that many people to see her triumph.
They headed over to the competitor sign up booth.
"We're here to compete in this tournament." Weiss told the young pimple faced man that was sitting at the booth.
A scoff was then heard behind them. "Girls can't play video games." A man's voice said.
Ruby and Weiss then turned around and face the man who said that.
The guy was tall and skinny, he had shoulder length hair, a goatee, glasses, he looked like he was in his late twenties' and on his left there was a short, skinny guy, and to his right there was a fat guy that was taller than the guy on the left but slightly shorter than the glasses guy.
"Excuse me?" Weiss asked. "I said girls can't play video games." The guy repeated.
Weiss crossed her arms and said "and why not?" the guy responded "Because they belong in the kitchen, making me food."
Ruby then started laughing and said "What the fuck is with guy?"
They guy then said "My name is Langston, Keith Langston, and just what makes you two think you can compete in this tournament?"
Weiss responded with "My skills."
It's then Keith's turn to laugh "Your skills? Please I'm sure whatever skill you think you have are no match for my skills. I beat the campaign in one day, found all the collectables, I got all the achievements and I reached the highest rank in multiplayer in only two weeks."
"So what you're telling me is you're a loser and you have no life." Weiss said.
"Hey I'm an accomplished man." Keith retorted.
"How old are you?" Weiss asked "29" Keith responded.
"Jesus man, you're too old to be behaving like this, I bet you're still a virgin too." Weiss said.
"I have more important things to do then having intercourse with some common harlot." Keith responded. Weiss then looked at Ruby with a look that said is this guy for real? Ruby then shrugged.
"Anyways we aren't serious gamers, like you, we training to be huntresses, we're doing this just for fun." Weiss said
Keith then scoffed again and said "Huh, Girls can't fight monsters." At that point Ruby got mad and got closer to him and angrily said "Hey! Who the hell do-" Ruby was held back by Weiss who then said "Come on Ruby don't let this jerk into your head, just let it go. We'll teach him a lesson."
As they walked away they heard Keith say "Huh, yeah right"
It was almost time for the start of the tournament and Ruby and Weiss were headed towards the competitors' area when they saw something that surprised them; Jaune and Ren
"Jaune?" Ruby asked. They both turned around. They both got shock on their face. "Oh hey guys what are you doing here, here to cheer us on?" Jaune said.
"No were here to compete in this tournament." Weiss said. "What?! Really?!" Jaune said surprised.
"I didn't think you were much of gamer Weiss" Ren said
"I like to win, that's why I'm here" "oh I see, you're quite competitive" Ren said.
"Why are you guys competing?" Ruby asked
"Eh we like the game so we figured why not?" Jaune said. "Oh alright then" Ruby said.
Both pairs headed inside to see the first round of matches. To the pairs' surprise they saw they faced each other.
"Oh wow, well don't worry ladies we'll try not to beat you by too much." Jaune said, cocky.
Weiss scoffed and said "right" and rolled her eyes.
The tournament started and the first match was Keith and the short guy that was with him against two regular guys. The matches were team deathmatch and the goal was up to 30.
In the end Keith and his lackey won 30-10, embarrassing the other pair.
Two more matches went by and then it was White Rose versus Jaune and Ren.
Jaune and Ren were destroyed. 30-0, flawless game. The crowd was impressed by the amount of skill that Ruby and Weiss had. They were so humiliated that Jaune put his hood over his face and they ran out of the stadium.
They made onto the second round. Keith and his lackey won their match 30- 9, once again embarrassing the other team. White Rose played against these two faunus , they won 30-3, once again surprising everyone
As they were walking back they heard one team say "God Damn, those girls are incredible." They both smirked.
In the next round, Keith once again won his match, 30-12. Keith acted like Ruby and Weiss were nothing but in reality he was scared out of his mind.
Ruby and Weiss were so good and intimidating that the team they were supposed to play forfeited, they didn't want to be humiliated.
In the next round Keith once again won. In the competitors' area where the remaining teams were, Weiss went to the bathroom. When she came out she heard Keith talking, she followed his voice and saw Keith talking to the pair they were supposed to play next.
She remained hidden and was able to hear what Keith was saying.
"Listen those bitches that you guys are playing this round, you have to take them out." Keith said with a sense of urgency.
"How? Those girls are too good, how are we supposed to beat them?" one of the guys said.
"Don't worry I got a plan" keith said. He took out two pills.
"These are drugs that will enhance your reflexes, let you think more clearly, and your eyesight will be better."
"But drugs are against the rules!" the other guy said.
"It doesn't matter, do you guys want to win or not?"
"yeah" "then take the damn pills."
The pair took the pills and took them. Weiss then headed back to Ruby.
"Hey Weiss, what took you so long, are you constipated or something?" Ruby asked.
"What?! NO! listen Keith gave the team we're facing performance enhancing drugs." Weiss said.
"What? We have to tell the officials" Ruby said.
"Nah lets let them play." Ruby's expression said What?! "Don't worry I'm sure we can beat them."
Ruby trusted Weiss' judgment and didn't say anything. It was then time for them to play their match.
The match started and it turns out that the pills worked, the other team were a hundred times better than they were, they scored the first kill. They then scored three more kills in a row
Damn it Weiss what did you get us into?
Weiss was still calm however. Weiss scored their first point. From then on it was an extremely difficult match for Ruby and Weiss. White Rose came close to losing only managing to win in the end. Weiss got really lucky and got four kills in a row ending the match with 30-28 being the final score.
The other team and Keith were incredibly shocked. Ruby and Weiss were too good to be stopped.
Keith was desperate. He had to win. White Rose had made to the finals against him. Keith decided to take desperate measures. He forced his lackey to take 4 pills while he took 2 pills so that their abilities would be better.
It was time for the finals. White rose were ready to kick Keith's ass all over the map.
They played, and tied. It was too intense of a match. A lot of spectators passed out due to the intensity of the match. It was named the greatest multiplayer match ever.
It was time for sudden death. The four players had 10 lives each, first team to lose all their lives loses.
The match got even more intense. People were having heart attacks due to the intensity. In the end Weiss lost all her lives while, Ruby had 3 left, Keith and his lackey had 4 lives each. In the most impressive display of skill Ruby won in the end with 1 life left. Everyone that wasn't passed out cheered their hearts out for White Rose. Keith had finally lost and was outraged beyond belief. His lackey had a stroke because of all the pills he took.
Ruby and Weiss had gotten their trophy and were headed home. They were walking down the an alley when on the other side of the alley came out 10 huge guys and they blocked their way. Keith then came out.
"No one has ever beaten me. You girls must pay the price." He then got out a steel pipe and ordered his men to attack. Both girls looked at each other with looks of disbelief. They put the trophy down and Ruby said "Come at us punks"
10 minutes later there were bodies lying on the ground unconscious. Keith even had the steel pipe shoved up his ass. The girls wiped their hands and picked up their trophy and headed home.
They placed the trophy on Ruby's drawer and they were very proud of their accomplishment. Even their friends were proud of them except for Jaune and Ren who avoided them out of embarrassment for a week.
