"Morning Ally!" Austin called as he walked through the front door.

"Hi Austin! Did you sleep good?" she asked

"Yep, now I'm here to help," he says holding the cans of paint for her to see

"Thanks, I really appreciate you doing this." She thanked him, "Nalini wanted her room painted over for the longest while" she added

"Yeah, it's no problem really. I'm happy to help my little princess," he says sitting down on one of the stools

"After all she could never stop talking about you," Ally says taking out breakfast for him

"Did you eat anything?" she asked as she placed the hot plate of food in front of him

"Nope, but I'm starving," he says as he digs in

"Sure eat up while I go get some brushes and an apron," she says wiping her hands and walking down the hall

"What's for breakfast?" Nalini strolled in as Ally walked out

"Looks like pancakes, my favourite, eggs and bacon," he called out mouth full

"Uncle Austin!" the nine her old cried in surprise

"Hey," he said simply.

"I didn't think I'd see you again," she says smiling while opening the fridge.

"Why, your mom and I are besties," he joked

She giggled, "I'm glad that you're here now," she says then she noticed the cans of paint, "What are those for?" she asked

"We're painting over your room," he said smiling down at her

"Really!" she asked eyes wide

"Yeah, all for you princess," he said

"Thank You. Thank You. Thank You. Thank You!" she screamed engulfing him in a bear hug

"Got the brushes and aprons," Ally said walking into the room

"Awesome!" Nalini said running to mom to choose the brush right for her.

"Let's eat!" Austin shouted

1 hour later

"Ally get that," Austin said as he painted a wall

"Okay," she said grabbing the phone

"Hello?" she asked

"Uh huh. No. Trish I can't. Okay, let me ask," she says

"Hey guys," she says to get their attention, "I hate to leave, but Trish has an emer-" she started but Austin cut her off.

"It's okay Ally. You go ahead." He told her. "We only got one wall," Nalini added

"Okay thank you guys so much. I'll be back before you know it," she says peeling off her smock.

"Tell her I say hi!" Austin called out as she walked out.

"Okay!" she called down the hall. There was a moment before and then the front door slammed shut.

"Hey I gotta go use the bathroom," Nalini said suddenly.

"Okay. Hurry Back." He told her

"Okay" she said as she walked out.

30 mins later

"What is taking her so long?" Austin wondered out loud. He was worried? Did she fall in?

"Austin! Austin!" Nalini called

"What! Are you okay?" he asked concerned

"You will not believe what I just found!" she yelled excitedly

"What?" he asked concerned

"Here! Look at this," she said breathlessly holding out a piece of paper

"What is this?" he asked taking it

"It's my birth certificate," she answered

"Where did you get this?" he asked still not looking at this

When she didn't answer he figured out, "You prowled through your mom's room. For this? Why?" he asked generally confused

"Austin it all makes sense. When you first arrived, mom was all nervous and scared like she was hiding something. All through my life my mom and Aunty Trish has always been whispering about something like 'does she know' and now it makes sense. I see it. You have to trust me. This is for real!" she said excited

"Nalini, what is so important about this?" he asked shocked.

"Just look at it," she said

"Okay. It says..." he said as he scrolled through the paper.

"It says that I'm your, I'm you," he started to shocked to continue. He couldn't believe what he was reading. What if it's wrong? Is this real? It has to. Official seal and all. But what's on it is what shocked and scared him to death. He didn't know what to say. Millions of questions ran through his mind, but he couldn't even utter one. He had no idea what to do. He couldn't even breathe.

"That you're my dad," Nalini finished for him

Next chapter should have a big blowout. Look forward to it.
