Rose's pov
And that's when Niamh lost it
and when I say Niamh lost it, I mean that she got up and attacked (when tried) to attack Tasha. Sally grabbed her as soon as she stood up, and took her legs out so she was about to fall on her arse, she caught her quickly caught her and gently sat her down. Unfortunately Sally's actions didn't faze Niamh and she was trying her hardest to push Sally off of her. Not easy when she's been trained to fight and kill, stronger and faster things. As soon as Niamh had gotten up Eddie had given Lily to Lissa, and put Tasha in an arm lock so she couldn't escape. Lissa had become very close to Lily over the past day and a half, and Lily had fell in love with her. But the two year old did not look happy with all the commotion and started to cry. Mia and I ran so we where sat beside Niamh trying to calm her down. Easier said than done.
"LET ME GO NOW!" Niamh was screaming. If it wasn't for the situation, it would have been quite comical, Sally and I where sat on Niamh, Sally on her on her chest (trying very hard to not to sit on her stomach, for some reason) holding her hands above her head, and me legs to stop her kicking. It wasn't something we were taught in training, well in my training- who knows what they are taught in England, but Niamh wasn't a threat she was a grieving widow, and a friend and we wasn't about to hurt her, and Mia was deflating all of her fire with water. Eddie unlike us, didn't care if he was hurting Tasha, his eyes where slits, and he face hard.
"Not until you calm down." Came Sally gentile reply, though to everyone it sounded as if she was pleading .
"SHE KILLED HIM, SHE'S THE REASON MY BABY'S NOT GOING TO HAVE A DADDY!" She screamed, it was a scream of pure frustration and desperation, her voice cracked at the word 'daddy'. Everyone in the room (apart from Tasha and Sally) gasped. This changed everything, no wonder Sally wouldn't sit on her stomach, Sally's face fell, and she gave a quite sigh, she hated seeing Niamh this distraught. Tears were starting to form in my eyes, I was holding up better than Mia who's face was stained with tears.
"Niamh stop." Sally voice was motherly, but forceful none the less. "If you attack her your gonna let her win. If you attack her then you are threating the life of your baby, Adrian's baby, and that's all we, you have left of him." At was if Sally had thrown cold water over Niamh. She stopped struggling and started to sob harder than what she was. Me and Sally got off of her and Sally pulled her into a hug, she was talking softly to her. It was only then I saw how tired Sally actually was.
"Lissa can you hand me Lily?" Lissa nodded at me, confusion washed over through the bond. Christian looked distracted, but was disappointed that Lily was going. I took her and bent down to Niamh. "Niamh, take Lily and go back to Sally's." I said softly. Sally looked up at me gratefully. If there was anything in the world to distract Niamh it would be Lily. "Lily." I said softly and my two year old daughter looked up at me with her big brown eyes filled with worry. "I need you to take auntie Niamh to auntie Sally and make her happy can you do this for me?" I asked, I heard someone behind me laugh at my baby voice, but right now I didn't care. To very important people were hurting and I needed to stop that. Lily nodded and I smiled and pressed a kiss to a forehead, she hugged but and jumped of off me, she waddled over to where Niamh was sitting.
"Luv ooo Nimma" Lily said, hugging Niamh tightly, Sally stood up and walked over to where I was standing. I looked at her and saw a ghostly smile cross her face. Niamh smiled, and muttered back she loved her to. We waited for the two to leave before we carried on this meeting. They needed to away from this, it wasn't going to be pretty. Before I could say anything Sally went up to Tasha, and in her most deadly voice said
"Niamh may not be able to hurt you, but I certainly can." And before anyone could get hold of our English friend she punched Tasha square in the face. I heard something crack and winced. She turned, held her head high and sat back down in her chair. I didn't think I could get any prouder of her right now. Eddie was nocked back in the process of the punch (Bloody hell how hard did she actually hit her) and was now flat on his arse. I locked my office door, before Tasha could run, I sat next to Sally and put my arms in the table in a very business like manner. The others followed suit and soon everyone was sat around the table again.
Tasha who was sat between Dimitri and Eddie looked outrage.
"You punched me you bitch." Her voice full of shock and pain, Sally gave a harsh laugh
"And you killed one of my best mates, made one of my best friends life hell, and has now left my sister a widow and my niece or nephew fatherless, you'll live" Sally bite back. I was touched by what she had said.
"Wait Niamh's your sister?" Christian asked confused, I bit down on my lip to stop me laughing. Christian did chose great moments.
"As good as" Sally snapped, never taking her eyes off Tasha. I needed to stop this, Sally was deadly at the best of times, but with this rage... I didn't know and I sure as hell didn't want to find out. I put my hand on Sally and she calmed some.
"Sorry Rose." She said quietly, her voice filled with self-hatred. This was the first time she had ever lost control. I shook my head.
"Nothing to be sorry about." I replied my voice gentile, "I would of done the same think, I just need you to calm down, I don't want you on a murder charge." Sally nodded but kept her eyes down. Mia smiled softly at Sally, and gave her a quick hug. Its amazing what a hug can do to people.
"What did you mean, you where good at compulsion?" I asked Tasha, this integration has started and it wasn't going to finish until I get answers. Tasha laughed.
"I compelled four people, and they are all in this room." She couldn't contain her smugness, I balled my hands into a fight in the hopes it would release some of this anger. I was mistaken, it didn't work. Mia looked outraged as did Lissa.
"Who?" my voice was tight and angry. She smiled a sickly sweet smile at me and raised her eyebrows.
"You, Eddie, Mia and Dimka." I stared at her, and she carried on. "I'm quite proud actually, well you and Dimka were getting to close, he loves you. But he shouldn't it should me." Tasha said as if it was easy to understand. "So I compelled him to leave you. But he was stronger than what I first thought, he still wanted to be around you, wanted to love you. So naturally I had to change that." She left out a mocking laugh and carried on. "I compelled Eddie and Mia to forget about their feelings for each other, and made him to fall in love with you." Mia gasped and so did Eddie, I was still confused what the hell was she getting at. "I came back later that year, to compel you to love Eddie and to forget about Dimitri." As soon as she said that, it was if everything in me turned cold, my vision went blurry and I sudden felt as if had been asleep for a very long time. I looked around the room. When my gaze fell upon Eddie, the feelings of love where gone. It was if I had gone back five years ago, and we were like brother and sister again. I kept looking and my eyes caught Dimitri, my breathe got caught. The feelings came flooding back to me. He looked back at me with the same hunger passion that I was feeling. Something inside lit up, it was him, it was always him. My soul mate. My hatred towards Tasha intensified. How dare she, Love isn't something to be meddled with. "It worked of course, and you couldn't imagine my happiness when I found that you had a baby." Something in me snapped back to reality. My poor, poor baby girl. She was in the middle of this mess. My eyes fell on Eddie again, and his face showed that he was thinking along the same lines as me, though his expression was lined with more anger than mine.
"You sick twisted bitch." Eddie spat, his anger showing throughout his whole body, his whole body was tense, his fist clenched, "Well guess what bitch?" I had never heard Eddie talk like that, even a school when hormones where taken over his body. Tasha's smile faltered a little, even Dimitri flinched, "Your plan back fired, you telling us all this broke the spell." And then only then did Tasha's smile completely go. VICTORY.
"Aunt Tasha, how could you do this, to them, to Lissa... to me?" Christians voice cut through all the anger that everyone was feeling, Lissa was holding his hand, trying so hard to sooth him. Through the bond I could see how much she was hurt. I immediately felt guilty about gloating, after all its wasn't just people she compelled that had gotten hurt. Tasha looked apologetic at Christian,
"I had to Chris." She said softly as if she was trying to console a baby, and Christians face flashed with hurt,
"No you didn't, a baby, a poor innocent baby caught in this middle of this, and you think it's funny" Tears fell down his face. Christian like so many others had fallen for Lily's charm.
"Its not like that Christian, I didn't turn them strigoi!" Tasha exclaimed, trying so hard to stop Christian's pain. But the damage had be done. Christian shrugged, and cocked his head to one side.
"Doesn't matter, Lily is still a child, a baby even, and you are willing to put her through all this pain. Just for some sick revenge." He stopped and look a breathe, controlling his anger. "You are not better than my parents." The words pained Christian to say. Lissa pulled him into a hug and wiped his face. She was just as hurt, but she hated seeing Christian so down. Tasha looked dumbfounded. I think that of everything that happened to her today today, Sally's punch, her spell breaking, Eddies hard words, this was the thing that had the biggest effect on her.
"I can change Chris, give me a chance." She pleaded, but Christian shook his head.
"No, I did give you a chance Tasha, I gave you my trust and you smashed it, like it was worthless. I've already called the guardians, they are taking you away." Lissa hugged him tighter. "I cant stay her and watch, I'm going to go." He said looking at me. I nodded and gave him a small smile, which he returned. I unlocked my door and he walked out, Lissa following behind him. Through the bond I knew they where going to room that I had set up for them.
"I've already spoken to the guardians. They are taking you to an English prison." Sally said as soon as I'd shut the door. I was grateful for that at least. She may have been beside herself with rage, but family meant a lot to her, and she knew how much Christian was hurting, from her own personal past. She didn't want to add salt to injury. "One where I have lots of friends, I may not be very influential in America but I sure am back home." As soon as Sally finished, guardians came through my door. They took Tasha away, literally kicking and screaming. Sally looked pleased, I didn't recognised the guardians but she did, and because of that fact I knew Tasha was never getting out, and by Sally's look I knew that Tasha was going to suffer. Sally let out a sigh
"I'm going to go home and cook a big roast, as its Sunday, a lot has happened within the last two days, a lot of pain a lot of grief. Get everyone to come round at 6 and we can talk, and move forward, because right now we are going to need each other, we are all going to have to be a family." Her voice maternal, I let out a laugh good ol' English, I smiled at her and of she went. She was right, we needed to sort things out, and we needed to there for each other, and with this family, anything could happen.
