A/N: Gomennasai! Gomennasai! Gomennasai! Happy New Year everybody and I just want to say how terribly sorry I am! My computer crashed towards the end of last year and unfortunately for me I didn't get a new one for Christmas -.- ...But all is well because thanks to my awesome new android I got for my birthday I'm back in action! I can't believe I'm able to type and upload on this bad boy *cries tears of happiness* Enjoy my pretties! Muahahahahaha *ahem*

Chapter 8: An Unfortunate Turn of Events

"Lj?"

"Yeah, Sienna?"

"Why don't you want to go to the guild hall?"

There it was; the question Lj had been avoiding all morning. Not only was he feeling awkward around Sienna after their previous day's encounter, but he had also been assigned with the difficult task of keeping her away from Fairy Tail by the lovely Arrina. Unfortunately for him though, he quickly ran out of ideas to stall her, so the two, plus Clementine, were now aimlessly wandering around the town of Magnolia.

"I don't know what you mean."

"Yes, you do!" Sienna retorted with a stamp of her foot, "The only reason why I let you drag me out of bed this early and excuse you for breaking into my home again is because you said we were going to the guild hall!"

"We are going," Lj replied simply, "Just as soon as I find something fun to do."

"But we've been walking around forever! My rent is due in a week and I really need to find a job that will pay it."

Sienna turned on her heel to head towards Fairy Tail, but Lj stopped her by catching her arm. She was about to whip around and ask him what was his problem, but when she saw the sad expression on his face she caught herself.

"Sienna, please." Lj softly rubbed his thumb across Sienna's knuckles causing her shudder, "Is it wrong for me to want to spend a little time with you?"

A blush crept over Sienna's face and she cast her eyes downward to avoid further embarrassment, "Oh, alright, but you better hurry up, or else I'm going straight to the guild."

Lj's lips transformed into a giant smile and he hugged Sienna with all his might, "I know a cart around here that sells really good ice cream. I'll go get some and then we can go to the guild, ok?"

He took off at such an unbelievable speed that it left Clementine and Sienna spinning for a full minute after he was gone.

Inside a local bar...

"I tell you, Peggy, nothing hits spot better than a good ol' sip of aged ale."

"Or seven in your case." Peggy commented as she watched her best friend down her seventh shot in a row, "Now what is it that's so important you couldn't tell me at the guild hall?"

"It's about the new girl." Niki said while turning on her stool to face her guildmate, "She's a Celestial Wizard, you know."

"Sienna?" Peggy inquired with a raise of an eyebrow, "Yes, I already knew that."

"But I bet you didn't know she uses lucid keys."

Peggy's eyes widened as she struggled to keep herself from tumbling off her seat, "What did you say?"

"You heard me." Niki replied in a quieter voice, "And you and I both know not just anybody has the power to wield those."

Back with Sienna...

"Don't make any sudden moves."

If there was a prize for the scariest words Sienna had ever heard in her life, those five would have definetly won it. After waiting on Lj to return with the ice cream, Sienna grew tired of standing and went to sit down on a lone, empty park bench. She eventually sent Clementine to see what was taking him so long, and as soon as she did, an unknown figure with a deep voice had threatened her in a menacing voice from behind. Sienna's first reaction was to scream of course, but her harasser's hand prevented her from doing so.

"I'd prefer it if you didn't scream either; obnoxious noises really hurt my ears."

A/N: Fighting scenes will be coming soon just fyi. I'm so excited I could jump off a roof...but I won't...because I value my safety. Also to make things easier I'm accepting any and all OCS that I get as long as they aren't completely helpless. Anyway until next time!
