Chapter 10: Danzo is a thorn in the side!

"This is stupid." Kakashi folded his arms.

"Come on, Kakashi." Rin sighed for the hundredth time.

"No. It is stupid." Kakashi growled.

"I bet you look cute. Come on." Rin baited.

"I am not cute. I am ANBU. A cold blooded killer. I am a shinobi." Kakashi pep talked himself.

"What is he still not out yet?" Obito asked walking over. Obito had on a black headband with orange cat ears that contrasted with his hair. He also had an orange tail on. He wore a Butler outfit.

Rin was wearing a maid outfit with cute pink bunny ears and a bunny tail.

"Cut him some slack. We accepted this mission, because the genin teams have been running ragged and Sensei asked us to. Kakashi may not act like it, but his ego is on the line." Rin tried to convince her best friend.

"Just get out here, Jerk!" Obito called.

"Why should I?" Kakashi scoffed probably rolling his eyes.

"Cause sensei asked us to, and we all know how you hate to disappoint him." Rin called. Silence was the only response. Rin knew she had him where she wanted him. Kakashi was loyal to his sensei. Always had been and always will be. So it was no shock when Kakashi slowly came out of the room his head hanging low. Kakashi had on cute dalmatian ears and tail.

Rin blushed at his rather cute appearance. Kakashi yanked on his collar with disdain for the Butler outfit. Rin counted herself lucky because her fiance could go from cute to handsome in seconds.

"Ha!" Obito grinned.

"You look even dumber than me." Kakashi pointed out. The two glared at each other as if they really were cats and dogs. The humor was not lost on Rin.

"Everyone give it up for Princess Hinata and her cute fluffy companions." A voice called and the three all left to go get the mission done.

They came out and were greeted by kids Naruto's age. Speaking of the blonde brat. A snigger was heard from behind them. They turned to see Naruto trying hard not to laugh and failing.

"You look ridiculous!" Naruto was a ball of giggles and Kakashi sent him a deadpan look.

"Don't be mean! I happen to like it!" Sakura scolded her friend.

"Nah. Dobe is right." Young Sasuke entered the picture, not yet retaining his memories.

"Gee thank you very much for the support." Kakashi rolled his eyes.

Naruto was still laughing and then Kakashi got an idea. He quickly left and came back. Naruto once again laughed and pointed until Kakashi was looming over him. "I do believe I owe little Hinata a gift." Kakashi smirked evilly as Naruto froze and went to run away.

Ten minutes later…

Rin and Obito watched as Naruto had been plopped beside the Hyuga heir. Hinata had met Kakashi beforehand. Kakashi had been the one to save her and prevent the Hyuga incident. Hinata just smiled until she saw her crush adorning fox ears and a tail. Naruto's face was grim for once.

Sasuke smirked and Sakura grinned. "I brought my camera!" Sakura announced. Before Naruto could run away Kakashi planted a firm hand on his head stopping him as Sakura got a picture.

"Definitely a keeper." Sakura grinned even wider.

"Give me a copy." Sasuke smirked. "Blackmail." Sasuke simply stated making Naruto pale.

"Could I have one as well?" Hinata spoke up.

"Not you too, Hinata" Naruto cried out exasperatedly.

Kakashi, Rin, Obito, and a very asleep Naruto and Sasuke were returning from the party. Naruto was sound asleep in Kakashi's arms. While Obito was carrying Sasuke.

"You really did look cute." Rin offered her fiance. Kakashi just grumbled. He then blushed and looked away mumbling something that neither Obito or Rin could understand.

"Say what?" Obito chimed careful not to awake Sasuke.

Kakashi scowled and did not say a word. Soon Sasuke and Obito had left for the compound and Naruto was home as well.

Kakashi was walking Rin home. Soon they reached their destination. Rin turned her back to her front door. "Why were you so frustrating? You were absolutely adorable." Rin folded her arms. Kakashi huffed.

"I am a shinobi. Not an adorable dog." Kakashi glared.

"Hinata seemed to like it." Kakashi stiffened at that. Rin knew that Kakashi had a soft spot for all the kids in Naruto's age group. She didn't know why, but she figured it was because of Naruto.

"I suppose." Kakashi relented with a sigh. Rin smiled triumphantly and kissed his forehead. Kakashi leaned down and kissed her with his mask still present. "You were also very adorable." He whispered before turning and walking away. Rin's face was a deep shade of red.

Little did they know a figure watched as they interacted. "So that is Obito's ANBU friend…" The figure whispered.

Kakashi yawned as he had to get up rather early. He and Obito were asked by Iruka to give a guest lesson at the academy on their teamwork abilities. Supposedly this would inspire them to work together. Unfortunately Obito's house was a little ways away and Kakashi was supposed to bring him. Some days he wishes he could go back to his tardy Icha Icha days.

He entered into the Uchiha clan district with a lazy posture. Suddenly he felt stares in his direction. Kakashi made it look as if he weren't fazed, but the stares were way too familiar. He looked down at his clothing. He was in his jonin regulation outfit with a red scarf hand knitted by Rin on his neck.

Well it wasn't his clothing. Concern started to bubble in his chest. He walked over to Obito's apartment. He decided not to bother Obito's old grandmother and just jumped to Obito's window and opened it up letting himself in. Obito was asleep at his desk snoring loudly. Obito's room was much more mature these days, but it still had a touch of immaturity that is Obito.

Kakashi cleared his throat and Obito jumped up from his slumber. He rubbed at his face and gazed at Kakashi. "Time to go already?"

"We have half an hour. I came by to see if you were even dressed." Kakashi sort of scolded. Obito glared, but he wasn't fully awake so it turned into a sleep scowl. He grumbled and went to get dressed and ready. Kakashi blinked at the folders before him. He froze at them and picked them up. He just sorted through them drinking in the information, but his mind was somewhere else piecing together what this means.

Obito paused at seeing Kakashi going through it and the implications they held. He tensed up and he knew that Kakashi was aware of him. Obito braced himself for a lecture, but Kakashi only released a heavy sigh.

"Is this the only conclusion they can come up with?" Kakashi asked with a suddenly tired and worn voice.

"Unfortunately… I am trying to sway them, but they never have fully trusted me… And that snake Danzo is just making things worse." Obito growled. Kakashi nodded numbly. He, Obito, and his sensei were desperate to be rid of him, but...the council was adamant in having him.

"I will see what I can do, but I am only ANBU it would be for the best to include Sensei. I will tell him so you don't have to worry." Kakashi offered with a soft smile. Obito smiled back.

"Thanks, but we will tell him together." Obito smiled back and Kakashi nodded.

Naruto and Sakura were talking to each other excitedly about training. Sakura was bragging about Rin and Naruto was bragging about Kakashi.

"She is so nice and funny! She is always willing to help me with what I don't understand." Sakura said with awe.

"Yeah well Kakashi-nii is helping me out with chakra control and chakra in general! I never understood it before!" Naruto grinned with actual joy. Kakashi had shooed away Naruto's questions when he was creating the rasen-shuriken. Now that they were here and had a bit more leisure time Kakashi decided to help Naruto understand these things a bit more.

Plus since Kakashi and his dad were so close he spent a lot of time with them and Naruto enjoyed spending time with his sensei whom he had craved attention from for so long. Not that Kakashi never cared. He always nagged Naruto and had a special place for him. He always made sure Naruto knew he was watching. He just got more time to teach him now. And if there is one thing Naruto will never surpass Kakashi in it's the brainy things of being a shinobi.

"What about you, Sasuke?" Naruto turned to his best friend.

"Itachi-nii keeps skipping out on my training." Sasuke glared folding his arms.

Sakura giggled, "I am sure he has a reason, Sasuke."

Sasuke replied with, "Hn."

"Man… So mean." Naruto grumbled. Then class began.

"Alright everyone! We all have some special guests waiting outside." Iruka smiled. "They are good friends of mine so be sure to be very polite. Am I clear?" Iruka asked. The class chorused a 'yes sensei'.

Once they headed outside they noticed Kakashi and Obito talking to each other. Obito said something that made Kakashi chuckle and shake his head.

"Kakashi-nii! Obito-nii!" Naruto cried with confusion and joy.

"Kakashi?" Sakura tilted her head intrigued. Sasuke kept his own reaction to himself.

Naruto grinned remembering the outfit Kakashi had to wear the other day. He was about to say something, but Sakura came to her future sensei's rescue. She cleared her throat and mouthed, 'picture'. Naruto paled and his mouth snapped shut.

"As Naruto so loudly pointed out." Iruka eyed his student. Naruto laughed nervously. "These two are Kakashi Hatake and Obito Uchiha. Two highly skilled shinobi and both former students to the Fourth Hokage."

Kids awed and marvelled at that. Obito laughed nervously as he scratched the back of his head. "Yo." Kakashi greeted nonchalantly.

A coupled of the girls gathered. "What do you think is under Kakashi sensei's mask?"

"I don't know, but he sure is mysterious!"

"So cool!" They squealed.

Kakashi glanced their way and then they squealed again. Kakashi didn't know how to react to that so he just turned his attention back to Iruka. Obito glared. Even now Kakashi had the attention of the female gender.

"Since they have been on a squad some say that their teamwork is flawless. Even going as far to be called the Silver and Black duo. So I have asked them to demonstrate some… Basic combos." Iruka said in hopes for least amount of damage.

He then turned to then cuing them in. "Alright as Iruka just said we have trained hours on end to get our teamwork to where it is." Obito said as he took a step back.

"But in the end. The outcome was worth it." Kakashi said just as he and Obito did hand signs.

"Raiton: Running beast!"

"Katon: Running beast!" (Dunno if it exists… Let's just say it does.) The two dog like creatures ran side by side around the kids before jumping back and dispersing.

The kids cheered.

Obito then created two shadow clones as Kakashi drew his katana. "Violet bolt." Then the sword was engulfed by purple electricity. Sakura and Naruto's eyes widened as they hadn't remembered Kakashi using that in the future (past?). Kakashi ran at Obito and his clone. The original Obito launched the clone. Kakashi then followed the clone up. Then using the clone as a stepping stone was sent higher. Finally he spun the sword and sliced down.

"Violet Strike!" This imitated a lightning strike and the kids awed once more.

Kakashi sheathed his sword as he bent on the ground. "Doton: Mud Wall!" A massive slab of earth erupted. Obito ran up the wall and jumped.

"Katon: Phoenix Flower!" Obito blew out a bunch of small bursts of fire. He landed on the opposite side of the wall. Just as he did the wall collapsed back into place.

"Teamwork doesn't have to be complicated or fancy. As long as it gets the job done." Kakashi lectured.

"Alright now everyone. Split into pairs and work on simple taijutsu combos." Iruka ordered.

Sakura waved and ran over to Ino.

Sasuke and Naruto smiled at each other. Naruto created a clone. Sasuke ran at him as Naruto thrust the clone into the air. Sasuke jumped and was thrust as well, but suddenly something in his brain snapped. He recalled a teaming up with Naruto in the Land of wave and then his brain was flooded. Due to this he tried to make it to the clone, but he missed...and started to fall. Suddenly Kakashi was in the air and caught Sasuke as they dissent to the earth.

Kakashi landed with relative ease. "Now, now. Let's not get a little hasty." Kakashi said setting Sasuke down. Sasuke looked up at Kakashi with shock from his different appearance.

"Sasuke!" Naruto ran over. "Sorry! Sorry! Should I have thrown you harder?!"

"That was very reckless you two. One of you could have been seriously injured. What if I hadn't gotten there in time?" Kakashi asked folding his arms.

The two looked at each other and then looked downcast. "Sorry." They said together.

"As long as you understand." Kakashi smiled. "Now go back and try something more simple." Kakashi ruffled their hair. Naruto stuck out his tongue and Sasuke huffed.

Kakashi was then bombarded by girls begging for him to look at what they were doing. Kakashi looked around at them slightly confused and scared.

Kakashi was walking down the street and noticed his tail. He grinned and decided to just get Sasuke out already. "Sasuke. If you are coming might as well not hang back, huh?" Sasuke straightened. Even after all these years Kakashi could point him out like a sore thumb.

Sasuke sped up and fell into step with his former sensei. "With Obito around your house I visit you plenty of times. Why are you concerning yourself with my habits today?" Kakashi asked. Sasuke didn't answer immediately as his gaze was drawn to the tanto and katana strapped to his back.

"So tell me did your curse mark come with you?" Sasuke's gaze snapped to his teacher's. "Ah. So it is you. Welcome to the new timeline, brat." Sasuke glared at that. "Come on. Let's gather everyone."

They went to Kakashi's apartment for privacy.

"So you finally made it!" Naruto grinned. Sasuke folded his arms after the explanations of the changes.

"Hn." Sasuke replied…ish. Sasuke waited for Sakura to say something, but she didn't say a word. She just sent him a small smile and he felt a pang at that.

"So…" Kakashi caught their attention. "The coup is possibly going to still happen."

"WHAAAAAT?!" Sakura and Naruto shouted.

"Come on guys be more quiet." Kakashi sighed.

"What? I thought Obito was taking care of relations." Naruto said with anger rising.

"He was, but the elders have distrusted him and went behind his back." Kakashi folded his arms.

"What do we do then?" Sakura asked with concern.

"Well Obito and I are going to consult with Minato-sensei. Sasuke. You are a kid. People won't notice your presence. You see how far along they are. Naruto I want you to stay away for now. You have Kurama to worry about at the moment also your mom is friends with Mikoto so please try to keep an eye on her as well. Sakura I want you to just focus on your training see if you can convince Rin to explain some genjutsu release theories. Sasuke and I will handle this more . We will inform you of our movements and we will let you know if we need assistance. Are we clear?" Kakashi asked folding his arms.

"Understood/ Roger that/ Aye sir!" They said. Kakashi eye smiled.

"Now can we go to Ichiraku?" Naruto asked. Kakashi tensed at that.

"Yeah no." Kakashi shook his head.

Minato had not taken the news well. In fact when he had heard it he had nearly gone ballistic. "I cannot believe them! I am trying my gosh darn hardest and yet they refuse to listen to me! What am I talking to rocks?!" Minato's usually calm exposure had burst. The stress had finally gotten to him and Kakashi and Obito glanced at each other and shrunk.

"Sensei?" Obito asked quietly. "When was the last time you got some sleep?"

"34 hours ago! I am fine!" Minato shouted.

Kakashi sighed and nodded at Obito. Minato looked at Obito as his sharingan spun and Minato fell to sleep. "That is much easier when he is exhausted." Obito told Kakashi. Kakashi nodded.

"Seriously though what are we going to do?" Obito looked at Kakashi. Kakashi sighed once more and opened a desk drawer and pulled out a spare blanket and laid it on his sensei.

"Honestly?"

"Kakashi now is not the time for riddles." Obito folded his arms. Kakashi rolled his eyes.

"I want you to just go back and try your best to convince them otherwise. Tell me where all the supplies are." Kakashi folded his arms.

"What? Why would I-! Oh." Obito realized what Kakashi was planning. Kakashi nodded.

"What if you are spotted?" Obito asked.

"A henge and cool looking cloak should take care of that." Kakashi smirked.

"Cool looking cloak? You have one?!" Obito looked at his teammate with a grin.

"You will never know." Kakashi said as he headed out of the office. Obito followed in tow begging his friend.

Kakashi was in a henge. He had dark brown hair and tan skin. He wore black clothing and a dark blue cloak. Kakashi ran through the canisters of supplies filled with weapons and rations. Kakashi placed seals on each one. When he had done so. He went through some hand seals and soon the supplies were sealed within a scroll. Kakashi smirked and shunshined away. He looked around and sensed a presence. He turned to see a smaller figure.

"I am just here to help." The figure spoke. Kakashi just narrowed his eyes. Then the figure came out of the shadows to reveal Itachi Uchiha.

Vsasser: So about the first part of the chapter... I just wanted something a bit funny and so I put it in to make the chapter a bit more light. It was much too dramatic. Anyways tell me what you think!
