She pouted as soon the car engine cut off, Caroline was going to hockey game with her friend Klaus, whoopee. Actually Caroline didn't mind that but much it was the part where she lost a bet and had to sit on the opposing side of the arena with Klaus who had no taste in teams. The blonde pulled off her jacket fanning herself as Klaus paying no attention to her tossed her jacket into the backseat before looking back at her garb.
"Really Love?" he asked as he took in her appearance, she was in head to toe gear of his opposing team which made her frown turn upside down.
She reached for her phone tucking it into her back pocket, "I lost this bet but the rules never stipulated I had to wear the gear." She points out smugly.
Klaus mocked offence, "If they see me with you," he began as Caroline opened her door and deadpanned back at him, daring him.
"Finish that sentence right bestie," she warned him as she pinched his cheek playfully before kissing the red spot that formed.
Klaus bit his tongue muttering, "They'll think I'm the luckiest man to arrive with you," he says instead of what he meant to say which was that there was no way she could wear that jersey.
"You're such a good friend," she relies as she exits the car into the chaos that was the parking lot and line as long as the eye can see.
"You're not," Klaus said making sure she heard because he said it right behind her taking her hand so they wouldn't get separated.
Caroline smiled, they'd been friends since high school so this kind of banter was normal, "I'll get over it," she whispered as they stood in line.
Klaus looks around feeling eyes on them both, mainly Caroline, "At least wear this until we get to our seats," he asks as he drops his cap on her head.
Caroline looks him in the eye laughing, "Are you ashamed of me?" she asks him nudging him on the chest as the line moves up.
"Yes," Klaus cries, "Isn't it obvious? I'm making it obvious Caroline," the brit utters half under his breath as he locks eyes with some larger fellows glaring at them.
"You're lucky I like you," Caroline says paying no nevermind to the looks she gets for her attire on the wrong side of the stadium.
"Yes well, you love me," Klaus murmurs with a chuckle as he hands his tickets over in the VIP lane that thankfully moves quicker getting them inside faster.
"You'll love buying me a bag of popcorn," Caroline answers back with a grin as they pass the food booths and the big size of kernels catch her eye.
Klaus looks over smirking at the one she's got her eyes on, "Only if I get half," he says walking over as he pulls out his wallet getting ready to pay.
Caroline skips over to him excitedly, "Obviously, but goobers," she adds sliding the blue box over on the gray counter and winking at the cashier.
"No," Klaus bemoans as Caroline orders a Slurpee along with everything is making sure Klaus pays the man properly.
"I'm going to this game with you and sitting on the losing side," she reiterates with delight as she paces a popcorn kernel against his lips waiting for his mouth to fall open.
"You're sitting with me," Klaus repeats to her as he lets her drop the snack in his mouth and he chews trying not to smile as she does.
"On the losing side," Caroline repeats herself under his death glare completely unafraid of his complex mood swings.
"Say it louder Sweetheart, I'd love a swollen eye," he says smiling nervously at the men from earlier still glaring in their direction as he hauls her to their section.
"Nice seats," Caroline concedes because even she wasn't immune to how awesome their seat positions were, right by the shield glass.
Klaus laughs letting her have that one, "Well I only gloat in the best seats," he says, nevermind about being humble he thinks as Caroline takes her seat.
"You're hil-ar-ious Klaus and I still want a rematch," she mutters to him as she cracks open the blue box of chocolate covered peanut goodness.
Klaus purses his lips going for it as he slips on the Slurpee, "Only because you let me win," he prodes making her stiffen next to him.
She looks at him, "I did no such thing," she stutters because she hadn't meant to let him win but he looked so sad when he told her his painting hadn't sold.
"You're worse at lying than you are at counting cards," Klaus tells her as he takes some of the popcorn in his hand and eats it as the game begins.
Caroline gapes, "You know that the bet also never stipulated we had to talk during this game," she shoots back at him taking her popcorn from the middle and setting it on her lap.
"It's five for fighting," he says as the first fight ensues and the announcer's go wild with reiteration though it's several minutes before Caroline prompts him again.
"It's the kissing cam," she says in a dead voice as she sees her own stunned face looking back at her and Klaus looking dumbly around for it.
"I'm sorry?" Klaus asks as he looks back and forth but not up at least until Caroline's fingers lift his chin upwards and his eyes register his own face as well.
"It's you and me," Caroline points to the screen in the middle of the arena hanging down from the steel rods of the glass roof. "Are you waving them off?" she asks hitting his arm.
'We're friends,' he mouths gesturing between them both as the crowd chants, "Kiss! Kiss!" as Caroline turns beet red while looking at Klaus squirming in his seat.
"Now they're chanting," he mutters in her ear only making it seem like he's kissing her cheek causing a spur of whistles and hoots from the other end.
"Just come here," Caroline tells him for the sake of the game pressing her lips over his and gently sucking until kissing wildly ensues."
Jeers sound from the crowd, "Well you showed me," Klaus whispers breathlessly as Caroline pulls back waving to the crowd from the camera before the scene switches to the game.
"I know right?" she asks jokingly as she wipes her lip gloss from his mouth only to have him kiss her again and again. Also they have no idea who won.
