The long awaited update. I'm sorry so many things have got in the way of this and it would have been up a few days ago, but a family member was tragically killed a day ago so it's put it off. I'm trying my hardest to get you guys these updates as soon as I can please bear with me. I love getting your guys' messages for the story my life has just been so busy. All mistakes are mine.
Britt was finally at her three month mark in the pregnancy the first trimester was now behind them they could now share the news with family and friends. Santiago couldn't be happier the first couple months Brittany had a terrible case of morning sickness well more like all day sickness. She would be miserable and San felt awful because there was nothing he could really do for her except make her tea, that she insisted worked with Maya.
They were on their way to a check-up appointment then a quick lunch before Brittany went to work for a half day. Much against San's request Brittany had still continued down at the studio. She did promise him however that the bigger she got she would work less and less and would not push herself, which settled some of his anxiety.
"Britt, are you ready?" San asked peeking into the master bedroom only to find it empty.
"Yeah babe could you grab my shirt off the bed?" Britt said from the master bathroom.
Santiago grabbed the shirt laid out on the bed and walked tot eh bathroom where he heard his beautiful wife humming along to a song no doubt she heard at the studio. He couldn't help the goofy smile that overtook his face. Sometimes he was still in disbelief that Brittany was really his wife.
"Watch your leering babe" she singsonged as she looked in the mirror to adjust her pony tail.
"Why? I married you I thought that meant I could leer all I wanted, when I wanted."
"Is that so?" she smiled grabbing the shirt from his hands and sliding it on over her sports bra.
"Mmmhmm, I'm pretty sure it was in the vows babe" he said moving to stand behind his wife wrapping his arms securely around her waist letting them fall on her small belly.
They both just looked into the mirror and smiled at each other.
"No sexy eyes we got an appointment babe" She laughed pulling away from him to finish getting ready.
"So what happens at this appointment anyways?" he asked leaning against the sink staring at Britt.
"Well we get to see baby, hear the heart beat all the good stuff"
"So do we get to see if they are carrying the Lopez family jewels" he winked
Brittany couldn't help but let a giggle escape her lips "Not yet babe we got to be around twenty weeks for that information"
"Well I don't need no doctor to tell me that is my son in there I know it" he smiled placing his hand over Brittany's belly.
"Is that right Mr. Lopez?"
"So right Mrs. Lopez"
The two finally manage to exit the house and drop Maya at San's parents before heading to the appointment. The office is filled with pregnant women and their spouses some looking more nervous than others.
"Brittany Lopez" a nurse in pink scrubs called from the doorway.
Brittany tosses the magazine back on to the table and stands up reaching for Santiago's hand. San sat in the chair next to the table that Brittany had laid down on.
"Okay so Dr. Jackson is in the delivery, so we have Dr. Blake filling in for her, you've seen him before correct?"
"Yes, Dr. Blake is fine." Brittany smiled politely and reached for San's hand. He leaned forward ghosting his lips across her hand.
"So Dr. Blake he's a good guy?" Santiago ask full of seriousness but a smile present on his lips.
Brittany laughed "Yes he is a good guy be nice"
"Be nice, me? I'm always nice"
"San" she warned.
"Okay, okay best behavior, love you" he leaned forward to connect their lips.
"Thank you" she whispered leaning forward for the kiss that was quickly interrupted with the door opening.
"Knock, knock, Hello Mrs. Lopez"
"Hello, Dr. Blake. This is my husband Santiago."
"Hello Santiago, I'm Dr. Blake, shall we take a look and see what we got?"
Brittany just nodded her head and proceeded to roll her shirt up tucking it under her sports bra.
Dr. Blake grabbed the blue gel from the counter and smeared some across Brittany's stomach, as Santiago watched his every move making sure that no harm was caused to Brittany or the baby.
A few seconds later the couple could hear a whishing sound coming form the computer that Dr. Blake was looking at. He smiled at the screen and pressed a couple buttons.
"Alright parents you hear that? That is the babies heart beat"
"Aww San you hear that"
Santiago had a smile some big across his face it almost looked painful.
"Okay Brittany so that puts you due date around July 20th"
"Aww San a summer baby" Brittany smiled up at him he just smiled back so happy to be blessed with a daughter and another healthy baby on the way.
"Okay just schedule with one of the ladies up front and we will see you back in 6 weeks"
"Thank you Dr. Blake"
The two made their way out of the doctors' office and into the cold January weather.
"So want to grab some Breadstix?" San asked opening the car door for Britt.
"That actually sounds so good right now."
"Now I know that's my baby" he laughed
Brittany slapped his shoulder and laughed along.
"So anymore news about your schedule for the upcoming month?" Britt asked
"Eh, Puck mentioned something about talking to the captain about getting the first shift position, but I only been there a few months I don't know how that will go with the rest of the squad."
"Well honey you should still try, besides if you don't then we'll be stuck missing you in the evenings and at night." Brittany pouted.
"I know babe I'm going to try to figure it out don't you worry."
Brittany just shook her head showing she understood. "You know Maya is going to be so upset she is missing Breadsitx"
"Yeah, but mom texted me earlier before we left and said she made some chili and she was baking some cookies so she's eating good." He laughed.
"Oh man some Mama Lopez chili sounds so good."
"Trust me I already told her to save us some"
"So you thought about any names?" San casually brought up as they sat at Breadstix waiting on their food.
"Not really, have you?'
"Eh I have a couple floating around, but I want to wait till we find out for sure what it is"
"So how long are you going to be at the studio today?"
"Just to teach the young ones Mike took over the Hip Hop class this morning."
"Well what do you say when you get home, you take a nice hot relaxing bath and we warm up some Chili and watch some Frozen with our daughter until she falls asleep and then we have some adult time." He winked
"I say that sounds A-M-A-Z-I-N-G" she spelled out and I can not wait. She smiled. San really was a sappy, romantic even though he would deny it.
So yeah that's kinda what I had I know it's short and not really all that interesting it has just a rough & stressful couple of days. I knew I needed to get this out so I can start working on getting the baby here and working on my other story that will also hopefully be updated this upcoming weekend. I promise to try to work on these stories my free time I do have. Hope you guys are still reading and bless you all! I hope to wrap this up in maybe 5-8 chapters!
