Gokudera Hayato

"Don't even dare try to kill that foreigner." Sis' warning sounded in my head, "I know how disappointed you seem to be, however maybe there's something different about her..."

Something different.

Walking down the hallway, I contemplated about what my sister stated to me.

Saying that this foreigner may be able to accept someone like.

"Che. As if she's going to do that..."

Accepting and seeing eye to eye have different meanings.

I heard a thud...this area wasn't too far from Yamamoto's room. But then again, that sword idiot prefers to sleep in a tent than use his own room.

...

Then was it...

"Hibari Kyoya."

I heard a muffled voice not too far from where I'm standing.

The same words reverberated through my mind. I clenched my teeth, as I loaded Flame Arrow with a dynamite. Slowing my pace, I noticed someone on the ground...which was none other than the foreigner, and the person standing in front of me...was-

The damn Wandering Cat of Wonderland...the hell is he doing here?

Normally he roams around the Country of Diamond, now why the heck is he in the Country of Hearts!?

There were rumors about the Wandering Cat's unique ability of using the doors of Wonderland. That the doors are capable of leading to someone bearing a strong wavelength of pure flames of the sky.

But if that's true...

My eyes narrowed toward the girl sitting in front of the cat. I bit my tongue as I demanded from the Cat, "And who do you think you are? Trespassing in the Castle of Hearts, you damn Wandering Cat."

Sawada Tsuna

Raising my fists, I carefully watched as Hibari readied his first attack. A sudden lunge headed towards me, aiming his tonfa. I backed away in time, only to be continuously met by multiple returns of the same attack.

One wrong move, and I'll be receiving a blunt attack.

From the corner of my eye, I could see Gokudera grimacing from pain.

I need to figure out a way to at least get Gokudera-san out of here.

However the more I dodged, the more began to realize how fast I can avoid those attacks.

Is this really me...?

I never would have thought someone like me had the capabilities to fight in the first place.

Though it's going to be difficult to find an-wait!

An opening!

On my last dodge, I raised my leg. Aiming to knock the steal tonfas held in Hibari's grasps out of the way.

Maybe without those tonfas, Hibari would be weaponless.

Or so I thought.

Once I landed on the ground, I peer up to find a link of chains. Wrapped around my ankle.

Shoot!

Crash landing onto the floor, I sat up to find Hibari smirking in triumph. Grasping onto the same chain, tightening its hold onto me.

Does this guy have any weakness?!

Hibari's hand grasped my chin, forcing me to stare back at his face. An unreadable expression formed after his smirk.

"You...Are you really the same herbivore as before." It wasn't a question, it matched the wavelength of a demand from a commanding officer.

"Is your love for fighting as strong as your blood-lust?!" Using this simple diversion to my advantage, I immediately slammed my forehead against Hibari's. Causing him to recoil the chain clamped against my ankle. Making a barrel roll over to Gokudera's side and begin supporting him up, needless to say Gokudera sent me the stink eye.

"The fuck are you doing?"

"Getting you out of there," I returned his retort, as I started speed-walking with Gokudera limping in tow.

"..." Gokudera was silent the whole time, only to resume once we relocated to a different area of the castle, "I don't get it."

I gave a Gokudera an expression of curiosity, "What do you mean?"

"I don't get you," He emphasized the last word in a harsh tone, "What is that makes you, some woman from whatever world you came from, gets the idea of saving someone who could've possibly betrayed you right now."

...

At this point and time, my gloves returned to their usual 27 mitten form. I didn't say anything back to Gokudera, however I listened. Not wanting to bother the prime minister's words.

"Blasted naive fool," Gokudera spatted as he suddenly lit a small bomb, as a small red flame danced atop of the fuse. Just waiting to set off. Right in front of my face, I didn't even bother to step back...I merely expected Gokudera's frustration to be thrown back at me. I mean, it was my fault for getting Gokudera involved in my fight against Hibari, "By the flick of this wrist, chances are a foreigner like you won't be able to survive this blast. You will die an instant death."

Biting the inside of my mouth as I eyed Gokudera, "Even so...I."

I gulped swallowing the fear back down my throat, slightly hesitant of my choice of words, "I can't stand to bear to see someone get hurt for no-"

No apparent reason.

I finished in my mind. The split second I saw Gokudera-san on the floor received an excruciating pain from Hibari-san's kick, the same scene reminded of my unhappy life at school. Being constantly bullied as a below average and sometimes the occasional failure status IQ level student...weak...shy...soft-spoken...it was like seeing the same routine I earned from among my peers.

Except there was a difference between me and Gokudera-san, the obvious one is our personalities. Gokudera-san is different from me. Being able to stand up to the ones hurting or mocking you, was something I never had the courage to do at all.

"..." I exhaled, "What I'm trying to say is, Gokudera-san, is this."

"I won't abandon a person who ends up getting injured in the process of protecting another also-" I added, "Gokudera-san, you never really intended to throw that dynamite at me in the first place."

It was true. The once lit dynamite had been defused, by Gokudera's hand.

"How admirable of you." Gokudera admitted before moving on, "Now, I have a question for you, foreigner."

"Would you aspire for a peaceful union between the other territories of this mafia world? or Would you tear this world from the inside out?"

I didn't hesitate to answer this, "...Both."

"Both...that wasn't an option-"

Interjecting Gokudera's rebuttal, I state word for word, "I'm going to tear apart the system of this mafia world, and unionize the territories. I don't have one goal, because there is never a singular solution. You have to have more than one small goals that'd soon lead to the true answer, and the only true goal I have here. In this world. Is to unify other territories, and finally return to the family I unnecessarily abandoned due to this absurd game."

"I'll play my role, but fate can always change."

Gokudera's eyes widened upon hearing my proclaim.

S-She said the same words as-!

I'll play my role, but fate can always change.

Nono...your kindness lead you to your inevitable death in the last game. Is kindness something you foreigners have in common?

Out of nowhere, the prime minister hugged me. I blushed confused as to why he suddenly did that, "G-Gokudera-san?!"

"...Decima."

Eh?

"I pledge to serve the current boss of the Vongola Famiglia," Gokudera recited as stepped back. My face directly kept focused under Gokudera's gaze, "I, Gokudera Hayato, prime minister of the Castle of Hearts relinquish my former job...and renew my role as the tenth generation storm guardian of Vongola Famiglia."

Suddenly a bright scarlet colored ring of flames surrounded the two of us.

What in the world is happening?!

Gokudera muttered, "Sorry for doing this, Decima."

"Wha-"

A light sensation pressed against my lips. My eyes widened in shock.

W-Why is Gokudera-san kissing me?!

I'm already running around screaming, no, shouting like there was no tomorrow in my mind.

AHHHH, WAS THIS WHAT REBORN WAS TALKING ABOUT GETTING OVER THE KISS?!

My heart paced rapidly, the minute Gokudera-san stopped the kiss. The scarlet flames died out.

"I'm very sorry, Decima!" Gokudera instantly apologized, "There are only three ways of forming a contract!"

Pledge Alliance.

In order for a subordinate of an important role to enter a famiglia, they have to pledge right before their boss swearing to relinquish the current role you've been given and earn the title of guardianship according by flame type.

A handshake. (I'm not worthy to shake your hand. - Gokudera)

Drinking the Boss' Blood. (Harming my precious boss isn't an option! - Gokudera)

And finally...

"You mean..." I placed my hands covering my mouth. Unable to hide my flushed expression.

Gokudera, at this point, did a dogeza. Bowing repetitively right in front of me, "I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry!"

At this point, I had enough.

Collapsing onto the floor, I felt something trickle down from my forehead.

Ah...I'm feeling a little tired...

"Decima! You're bleeding!"

Ah...I 'm bleeding... must have been the after affect from that head butt I landed on Hibari Kyoya.

I can faintly hear Gokudera worrying about my well-being as he shouted for the maids to get over to where we are.

I tried to keep my eyes open.

Unfortunately...

I couldn't.

Dream World

"So, I heard you encountered the Wandering Cat...Hibari Kyoya...correct?" Mukuro started the minute opened my eyes. Taking notice that I've already fallen asleep due to blood loss. I decided to converse with the supposed seer of the dream world. Not wanting to tell of what recently took place earlier.

"Yeah...but what does the Wandering Cat have anything to do with you Mukuro?" I mean, he's mostly in this part of Wonderland. How is it possible for Mukuro to meet Hibari outside this world if he can't step out of the dream world.

"That is for another time...perhaps I could entertain you by telling you a tale between that cat and I." Mukuro suggested as he began his explanation, "You see the Wandering Cat has the role as the watcher of the doors. The doors of wonderland are quite a fickle and are not to be messed with. However as the watcher, Hibari Kyoya has the ability to use the doors into heading to many areas of Wonderland to his own vantage. Although, in sense, his role is similar to mine as I play the role of the watcher of the Dream World even if I'm confined to this sanctum. I watch and converse with the other role holders through this world, and you could say each day is quite a challenge whenever that cat is asleep."

I sweat dropped. For some reason, I can imagine Mukuro provoking Hibari a lot.

"And...what of these doors?" I asked Mukuro out of curiosity, "Can other people use them without the role holder's permission?"

Mukuro placed a hand against his chin, "I haven't heard of such, but I do know that the doors are supposed to lead you to wherever you wish to be at."

Wherever you wish to be...?

Unknowingly, the grip of my hand tightened.

The doors can signify as a way out of this wonderland...but...

If I just outright leave during the game, I'd practically be throwing away my real chances of returning home. The only solution is to win this mafia game, and face it to the end.

If I had believed the doors would be my ticket out of here, I'd pretty much won't understand the consequences I'll receive after entering one of them.

...

Nonetheless...entering a door created by this world...is a rather foolish idea in the first place.

Reborn

Unlocking the window hinges, I silently entered the room without failure of infiltration.

Dame-Tsuna, you have a lot to learn...leaving the windows open is a visible sign of allowing intruders and assassins to enter your room.

I walked over to glance at the decima's sleeping form. I can already tell that she's gone into a deep sleep, however I began to criticize the foreigner.

You're truly an idiot in attempting to fight the Wandering Cat at this point of time, but I have to say...

Reborn paused for a moment before resuming his thoughts.

Gaining Gokudera Hayato's trust is indeed worth congratulating you on. I commend you for being able to knock some sense to that brat. Although, it's going to be a difficult road for the two of you.

Reborn fished out something from the inner pocket of his suit jacket, revealing an ornate box. Intricately decorated in gold linings, atop of the box was none other than a crest bearing a symbol.

A symbol representing a group.

Inscribed in the symbol read the words...

Vongola

"And now..."

There are only five members left to find.

Train Station

Opening the door, Hibari was soon greeted by another role holder.

One by the name of...

"Kusakabe Tetsuya," The one who often watches and cares for his leader, Kusakabe Tetsuya, who dutifully bowed, "Welcome back, Kyo-san."

Hibari nodded as Kusakabe switched Hibari's dirtied disciplinary jacket with a clean one, in the midst Hibari's second in command of his group took notice of his bloody forehead, "Another fight?"

"Of course."

Kusakabe, excusing himself out of the room to clean the jacket, left Hibari alone. Attending to his forehead on his own, now...as seen before, Tsuna indeed head butted Hibari hard, unfortunately Tsuna didn't have enough strength to knock this person down. Though in the end, Hibari noted.

The blood covering his forehead, wasn't his.

Taking an alcohol covered swab, Hibari removed the foreigner's blood away. Tossing the unsanitary item toward the trash bin.

A knock came at the door of the disciplinary office, Hibari's eyes narrowed as he silently threw one of his tonfas toward the intruder entering the room without consent.

"Whoa!" The newcomer jumped, side stepping away from the implement's direction. Instead of hitting the intruder, it embedded itself to the wall of the office.

"That's not very nice Kyoya." Turning to face Hibari, the newcomer had blonde hair and brown eyes. Wearing a green-and-black jacket over a dark red shirt, brown pants, and sneakers.

"Bronco."

"And how many times are you going to call me that?" The 'Bronco' sighed, "My name is Dino, decimo of the Chiavarone Famiglia, the owner of this train station...as well as your tutor."

Another tonfa was sent to Dino, only to be stopped by a bullwhip held in Dino's grasp.

"Kyoya, where in the world did you go during the past two turns ago? I was going to announce the-"

"The foreigner."

"Huh..." Dino stupefied by Hibari's sudden words. Processed a bit on what Hibari is talking about, "Ah, I see."

That Kyoya...he already picked a fight with the foreigner...

Dino grinned, "Was he strong?"

Hibari only gave one line, "A female carnivore in herbivorous clothing."

"I see...I see-" Dino practically did a spit take to recollect what Hibari Kyoya stated, "WAIT THE FOREIGNER IS A GIRL?!"

As of now...only four...no five out of the twelve territories learned that the new foreigner is a girl.
