Alice's POV:

I looked at the raven. I tightened my fist. Gil came down from his back. He was holding a sword. He smirked.

"Why are you here?" I asked.

"To kill you", he said softly.

I moved back slightly.

"Well you are going to lose", I said.

He smirked.

"Oz killed Abyss", said Gil, "So I must kill you."

My heart was a bit down. Abyss died. She meant alot to me.

"Go away", I said, "I'm warning you."

Gil came to me and held the hilt of the sword to me.

"Kill me", he said shakily.

"Wait what?" I asked.

He didn't come here to kill me, but for me to kill him.

"Kill me", he said, "I can't live without Abyss."

He fell to his knees and tears were coming down from his eyes. I knelt down to him and picked up his chin.

"I'm not going to kill you", I said sternly, "Where is the Gil that I know?"

He looked at me.

"I didn't want to kidnap you in the first place, you were too innocent then", he said sobbing, "When your mother died, it hurt my heart to see you cry." "I couldn't comfort you, your father told me to be stern with you or else he would kill you."

My eyes widened. I always thought as Gil a cold person. When he first kidnapped me, his eyes showed me kindness. Then he just shut me out.

"Gil, I don't want to kill you", I said.

Gil looked at me and got on his knees.

"Please!" he cried out, "I can't live without Abyss!"

I looked at him and knelt down with him.

"Just because Abyss is dead doesn't mean she isn't coming back", I said gently, "You know her. She will come back in a couple of days."

Gil looked at me with tears and hugged me tightly.

"I'm so sorry", he said quietly.

I hugged him back and patted his back.

"It's alright", I said.

Cheshire was looking at me. His eyes had no feeling. He looked at me with surprise.

"Gil", I said, "Go back home."

Gil looked at me.

"Mr. White will come after you as soon as your hours are up", said Gil, "He will ask to make a contract with you using Oz."

"Gil", I said, "Thank you. Go home and rest."

Gil got up shakily and nodded.

"You are just like your mother", he said smiling.

He got on his raven and left.

"How can you forgive him?" asked Cheshire.

"What?" I said turning to face him.

"How can you forgive him for what he has done to you?" asked Cheshire.

"Why?" I asked a bit angrily, "Would you rather have me kill an innocent person who had to follow orders?"

"Well he treated you badly", said Cheshire.

"But he didn't want to do it because my father would kill me", I spat out coldly, "He had to follow orders, he didn't want me dead!"

Cheshire just looked at me.

"And if you are wanting me to kill him, that's just rude and mean", I said shakily.

Cheshire walked to me and hugged me tightly.

"I'm sorry", he whispered.

I tried pushing him away, but he wouldn't let me go.

"Let go of me", I said.

"Sure I don't know what forgiveness is", started Cheshire, "But I was taught to take revenge and who taught me? Yes Gil taught me. He taught me that if someone has done something bad to you, you go and get revenge. Gil taught me all those things and you're telling me he's innocent?!"

Cheshire started to hold me tighter and tighter. He was breaking my ribs.

"Cheshire...", I gasped.

He let go of me and scooted away.

"I can't learn to forgive", he said, "I don't know how to forgive. When I saw that scene today I felt amazed and confused."

He sat down on the bed. I sat down with him and hugged him.

"You can learn how to forgive", I said softly, "It's easy. I will teach you."

Cheshire looked at me with mischief in his eyes.

"What if I can't learn?" he asked, "Will you do something that I can focus?"

"Like what?" I asked.

"A kiss", he whispered.

My eyes twitched. Rabbit smirked. I pushed him off the bed and he landed on his back.

"Aw", said Cheshire.

I glared at him.

"Say that again", I threatened, "You shall see my scythe."

Cheshire started laughing.

"What?" I asked him.

"You're so cute when you threaten me", he said.

He got up.

"I'm serious", I said surprisingly.

He sat next to me.

"Alright alright", he said, "I've been warned."

I relaxed and nodded. I looked at the ceiling. I was wondering what Oz was doing. I missed him a lot. I want to be with him.

Oz's POV:

I looked up at the ceiling. I was wondering what Alice was doing.

"Master Oz", said Break.

"What?" I replied.

"What are you thinking of?" he asked.

"Alice", I said.

Break smiled.

"I see", said Break.

"Don't you miss Sharon?" I asked.

He nodded and sipped his tea.

"I always want her to be with me. It feels weird. She's always with me, but not this time", said Break.

I nodded.

"It must be tough for you", I said.

He shrugged.

"Well, I'm alright", said Break, "Are you ok?"

I didnt reply. I didn't know how to respond. I didn't know if I was ok. I felt a bit down somehow.

"It's alright Oz", he said, "We all miss our girlfriends or wives."

"How long have you been dating Sharon?" I asked.

"Well, for 6 years", said Break.

"You should ask her to marry you", I said.

"I am", said Break, "I already asked her."

"What?" I asked.

"I already asked her and she said yes", said Break.

"When?" I asked.

"A few weeks ago", said Break.

"and you never told me!" I exclaimed.

"Sorry. I just wanted it to be a secret for now until it was safe", said Break.

I nodded. I understood why. We were in a tight situation.

As the days went by, it became weeks. We were still in the room. I missed Alice so much. There was a slight burning sensation on my chest. It was the other hour. The 10th hour. Only two more to go. I sighed. Break came in with a letter.

"Master Oz, a letter from Alice", said Break.

I quickly got up and grabbed the letter. I opened it.

Dearest Oz,

I miss you dearly! It's getting lonely here and of course Cheshire is harassing me. (Just kidding he isn't, but he's protecting me) Gilbert came today and confessed all these things that I didn't know. I was surprised. I shall tell you when you come back. I hope you aren't in pain. Here...a present to think about me. Not that I wanted you to think about me...anyways...see you later.

I smiled. I opened the small parcel and there was a gold ring that had a small bunny diamond shaped head with a gold chain. I smiled and put it around my neck. It laid on my chest warmly. Break looked at me smiling.

"Come we must go out and train", said Break.

I nodded. I walked out the room walked down the stairs. Outside were filled with monsters. I had to attack 10. I got hurt sometimes, but it was worth it. I kept thinking of Alice.

"Pay attention Oz!" Break exclaimed.

I snapped back into focus and started to throw some fire at the monster. I turned around and attacked another one. 11 monsters. My powers were pumping me up.

"Break, are we done?" I asked panting.

Break shook his head.

"Do something else then fire", he said.

I flicked a small ball of electricity at one monster and it exploded. Break nodded and took me back in my room. I took a cold shower. I leaned my head against the wall. Alice's ring was on my chest warm. I held it up and looked at it. It was very pretty. I wonder where she got it from. After I showered I came out. Break was no where to be seen. Probably getting some food. I plopped onto the bed shirtless. Break came in with some food. I looked at him and laid there.

"Break", I said, " how many more months?"

"Two more", he said while eating a sweet tart.

I nodded.

"I wonder how Alice is doing", I said.

"I bet she is doing fine", he said.

I nodded. I hope she was doing fine. I hope Cheshire kept his hands off of her. I sighed. Alice wait for me. I shall be with you soon.
