A/N: Here is the long-awaited chapter 10. First off, as promised in the last chapter, this new one is longer than the last one and it does have some angst. I hope you all enjoy this brand new chapter.

...

"Kaiba's not back yet?" Yugi asked his friends when he walked into class Monday morning and noticed that the teenage head of KaibaCorp's seat was empty.

Téa shook her head.

"No, he's probably busy taking care of Mokuba," the brunette girl sighed, her big blue eyes filled with sadness for the younger Kaiba brother. The poor little boy would more than likely never walk again.

"As much as he misses class, I'm amazed that he hasn't gotten kicked out of school by now," Joey snorted.

"You know, you could cool it a little, Joey," Tristan said. "I'm no fan of Kaiba's, but he's taking care of his little brother."

"I know," Joey was ready to defend himself. "I'm just saying…"

Ryo Bakura, who had been sitting at his seat just a few feet away from the conversing teens, sighed and pulled a picture out of his pocket.

The picture was of Ryo himself, with a little girl whose white hair and big, brown eyes greatly resembled Ryo's sitting in his lap.

The little girl was Amane Bakura, Ryo's little sister. She had died a few years before. Little Amane had been only seven years old at the time, Ryo had been eleven.

Even now, six long years later, the white-haired teen could still remember everything that had happened on that horrible day...

(Flashback)

"Big brother, are you there?"

"Yes, I'm here, Amane," Ryo had said, hurrying over to his sister's bedside.

Tears had welled up in Amane's big, chocolate-colored eyes.

"Don't cry, it's going to be okay," Ryo squeezed her hand gently.

"Am I…g-gonna die?" little Amane squeaked.

"No, you're not going to die," her older brother assured her, pushing a strand of snowy white hair out of her face. "You'll be alright. The doctors are going to take good care of you."

"Then we can go home and play again?" Amane asked, her eyes glimmering with hope.

Ryo nodded and reached into his bag.

"Here, I got this for you, little sister," he said, handing Amane her present: a little teddy bear wearing a hospital gown and holding a small banner that read GET WELL SOON.

"Thank you, Ryo," Amane whispered, smiling at her brother, her eyes and tiny face filled with adoration. "I love you."

"I love you too," Bakura said, lifting her hand and kissing it gently before giving her another kiss on the forehead.

(End of Flasback)

Joey was still ranting about Kaiba.

Ryo sighed, stood up, and walked over to where his friends were.

"Joey, before you start judging Kaiba, you need to put yourself in his shoes," the new student stated. "How would you feel if Serenity was in an accident like Mokuba?"

"You're sidin' with Kaiba too?" Joey asked. "And don't bring my sister into this. She has nothin' to do with it."

"First of all, I'm not 'siding' with anyone, Joey," Bakura sighed. "And second of all, I only said that because you need to understand what Kaiba and Mokuba are going through."

"Do you know?" the blond friend of Yugi asked.

"Joey..." Yugi was shocked at his friend's sudden snap at Bakura.

Tristan and Téa both sighed and shook their heads.

Bakura bit his lip and looked down, his white bangs falling over his eyes.

"Yes, as a matter of fact I do understand," he murmured in a voice barely above a whisper. "My little sister was in a car accident as well."

"I didn't know you had a sister," Téa said.

"Me neither," Yugi chimed in.

"She died before I came here," Bakura told them.

...

Mokuba yawned and slowly opened his eyes as he rose from his sleep. For some reason, he felt wet...wait a second...

The youngest Kaiba brother looked under his covers and gasped. He had wet the bed!

'I haven't done this since I was five!' he shouted in his mind. 'Oh, Seto's gonna be so mad when he finds out!'

Before he could do anything, the door opened and in walked Seto.

Mokuba gulped.

"Are you okay?" Seto asked him.

Mokuba nodded nervously.

"I'm fine," he said quickly, trying to smile like it was no big deal. But he knew there was no way to fool his big brother.

"Mokuba, if something's wrong, tell me," Seto sighed. "Does something hurt? Do you have to go to the bathroom?"

'Not anymore,' Mokuba thought as he shook his head.

His older brother's blue eyes stared into Mokuba's violet-gray ones.

"Tell me the truth," the older Kaiba said.

Mokuba sighed and looked down at his hands.

"I…I…I wet my bed!" the child stammered.

"You…wet your bed…" Seto's expression became one of surprise. "You haven't done that since you were five years old."

Mokuba let out a soft wail and began to cry.

"I'm s-sorry, Seto!" he sobbed. "I didn't mean to!"

"Mokuba, you can't help that," his brother said, sitting down besides Mokuba, taking care to avoid the wet spot before wrapping the boy in a hug, rubbing his back to comfort him.

"I'm s-sorry, big brother!" Mokuba sobbed, burying his face in Seto's shoulder. "I d-didn't m-mean to!"

Seto hugged his small brother closer, desperate to ease the little boy's pain.

"I'm not mad, Mokie," he said. "I promise I'm not."

Mokuba's cries softened and he looked up at Seto, tears falling from his eyes.

"R-really?" he hiccuped as he wiped his eyes.

Seto nodded.

"It makes sense that you couldn't control it," the older Kaiba explained, wiping his brother's eyes. "After the accident, you were paralyzed from the waist down so everything would kind of lose control."

"Oh..." Mokuba looked down. "So I guess everything's gonna be different now..."

"Yes," Seto answered. "But we'll just have to deal with it, Mokuba. We've dealt with worse before."

Mokuba nodded. He knew that Seto was talking about Gozaburo and how much their lives had changed when they had been adopted by him.

"You're right, big brother," he said, snuggling closer to Seto.

"Let's get you cleaned up, Mokie," his sibling said.

...

"Do you think I'll ever be able to walk again, Seto?" Mokuba asked later that night as Seto helped him into his now cleaned bed.

"I...I don't know, Mokuba," Seto answered after a few minutes. "I really don't know, little brother."

Mokuba said nothing.

"Well...do you think I could give it a try?" he questioned. "I mean, I know it's most likely that I'll never be able to walk the way I used to, but we could at least give it a try...couldn't I?"

Seto looked a little uncertain.

"I don't know if-"

"Please?" Mokuba pleaded.

Seto found himself unable to refuse his baby brother.

"Alright, we'll give it a try," the CEO of KaibaCorp answered.

Mokuba smiled and hugged Seto, who in turn hugged him back.
