Author's Note: I'm so sorry for taking this long in updating; I started a new job which made me go from 8 to 50+ hours a week. Yeah, it's been rough. Anyway, I will be continuing on with this story, however I only have time for 1 story at the moment, so it'll probably be another wee delay, but because I left you with such an awful cliffhanger, I decided to get this short wee chapter written.
Previously…: Rosalie let onto Bella a little more than she should have about Edward's capture. Because she broke the rules, they had to be punished. They received a video of Edward, sending out a message whilst tied to a chair. A gunshot ended the video…

Chapter ten.
He'd failed.
Felix had tried so hard to save Funny Hair - he put his own life in danger so that his family could receive the letter. But now, as Felix came to terms with what just happened, he felt like a failure. His mother would not have appreciated Felix' bad deeds. She would have wanted her son to save Funny Hair, not be the reason he died.
A lone tear rolled down the young boy's cheek. He'd tried so hard.
But as he sat in his dank prison, with pain radiating all through his body, the pain turned to anger. Felix had never had an angry, bitter bone in his body, but now, revenge was the only thing on his mind. His late friend was a good man who never did anything wrong. Why? Why must this have been his fate? Even if he died trying, Felix was going to get revenge.
With his previous plan still in mind, Felix rose to his feet - keeping as much wait off his broken ankle - and hobbled to one corner of his cell, where he found the pile of rock chips that had fallen from the wall during the decades. Felix found the sharpest looking one and tested it against the tip of a finger - with enough effort he was certain it would cause some damage.
Demetri forced open the solid door of the holding cell and took one last look at the mess behind him. Blood splattered the walls in a dark art and the dead man lay slumped over the back of a wooden chair. Maybe now he could get out of this hell he'd been caught up in. Demetri wasn't a bad man, his brothers just bullied him into joining their messed up gang of hurt and revenge. He walked away and went to tell said brothers that the message was ready to send, but as he left, a small voice was heard calling his name, coming from the bottom cell. Demetri peered through the 'window' of the door and saw his young nephew, slumped against the dusty ground.
"Uncle Demetri… please… I need help." As he looked in Felix's young eyes, he saw his late sister staring back at him. He would have done anything for Jane; his whole family would have, hence why this game of cat and mouse began. Revenge.
"What is it, Felix?"
"Can I please… leave now? I won't… be any trouble… I swear."
He didn't deserve the harm Aro forced onto him; Felix was caught talking to Edward, but he shouldn't have been left in there for so long. Demetri's promise to Jane, about looking after her son, came back to him then. He wanted to help.
Felix couldn't believe it when his uncle took out the ring of keys and found the one to his door. He was certain it would've taken a lot more persuasion than a simple plead. But he didn't complain - it made his plan that bit easier. The stiff door was unlocked and left open as Demetri plodded over and knelt before his nephew.
"You promise me you won't be any trouble? Aro would kill me if you do anything."
You deserve it.
"I promise… Please - please can you help me?" Felix hid the weapon in the palm of his hand but made sure the blade was pointing out his clenched fist. He took his moment when Demetri was helping him to stand. Suddenly, with a hard swing of his arm, Felix aimed for his face and caught the blade of the rock splint just under his Uncle's eye. The sudden attack caught Demetri off guard; he stumbled back and clutched his bleeding cheek.
Felix couldn't believe what he had just done - the adrenalin rushed through his veins. He had hoped some strength in the swing would have made the blade cut the skin, but he didn't imagine it causing so much damage. Blood was literally pouring down the side of his Uncle's face.
However he didn't have the time to think about that. He had to get out of there before the guards heard what had happened, and before Demetri came to his senses. Felix tried his best to forget the pain he was in and ran for the doorway.
Stupid Demetri left the keys in the lock...
"No! Come here, you stupid little fuck!" He could have screamed as much as he liked, Felix had closed and locked the cell door before Demetri managed to reach it.
Felix leant against the walls to breathe for a second, but it was time to leave. As much as he wanted to find the nearest exit, Felix wanted one last look at his friend - he wanted to apologise to Funny Hair for everything he caused.
He knew the sight wouldn't have been pretty, but what he saw, when entering the cell, was not what he had imagined. Straight ahead of him, before the wall of blood and brain splatters was a man (clearly dead) barely sitting on a chair, and to the side of him, crumpled up in a ball on the floor, was another man… The dead man had a burlap sack over his head, to hide his identity, but the man on the floor didn't, and Felix instantly knew who he was.
My friend… he wasn't shot…
Well, maybe he was… but there's no blood on him…
Felix fell before his friend and touched his arm gingerly.
"Hello?" He whispered, "hello? Are you awake…?" A forceful nudge of the arm had the man's eyes flutter and a moan escaped his dry lips.
"Bella?" His voice was raspy - a sign of dehydration.
"Um…no, it's me… it's Felix… are you okay?"
"F-felix?"
"Yes, it's Felix… you're not dead. You're not dead!" Felix had never felt happier and more relieved in his life.
The man coughed and shook his head with clenched eyes - he was in pain somewhere. "Hel-help me, Felix… Help me…fffind…Bella."
"Yes, yes I'll help you find her! Um… I'll go get help… somewhere."
Felix clutched the ring of keys and rose back to his feet.
Before he scurried out, Felix remembered something. "Wait, what's your name?" He need to know his friend's name to get help.
"Edward… Edward Cullen."
"Okay! I'll be back soon, Edward… stay there, please." He locked the cell door on the way out, they only had the one set, so Edward was safe in there.
He managed to creep through the giant building unseen and snuck out the back door.
I'm going to help you, Edward.
I'm going to help you find her.

I love Felix so damn much.
Okay, more was revealed and if you remember Edward's boss was called Alec… so more clues.
I promise I will write something within the next few weeks, because we're so close to a reunion…
Thoughts? X
