RedDragon: Well I hope we didn't disappoint you with the last chapter. Well, I hope this one gives you the all important action/romance/suspense tingle you get in the pit of your stomach every time you read them.

AssassinK: I have a sinking feeling that this chapter is going to be mostly exposition. There is always one of those chapters, and I thought we already had it earlier.

RedDragon: Just deal with it. It will be helpful for our fans.

Sage Wolf: He's right.

AssassinK: Hey, where's Father Chapa and The Dom?

Sage Wolf: Oh they're helping top men.

AssassinK: Who?

Sage Wolf: Top. Men.

RedDragon: Now that joke is out of the way, let's start this chapter! PS, I am not writing the intro again. Also we only own the oc characters and the tweaks to the plot.

Normal speech: "Hey"

Chapter 10. Past and Present

Intro: same as last chapter

"Huh, damn when I start to think we were getting answers, we just end up with more questions" Lucian said with a sigh. He and his teammates were inside an elevator heading towards Ozpin's office. His hand clenched in frustration. Mephisto noticed his distress but stayed quiet. The info they discovered was shocking to say the least. 'Let's face it,' he thought to himself mentally. 'What found out might as well let the shit hit the fan.' Vlade was completely silent. He wondered what his future was now, or did he even have a future. To them, history was repeating and they didn't even know its outcome. Ashura knew that what was going to happen was the first step towards what could possibly be the end itself. The elevator dinged, signaling that they reached their destination. Stepping out, the four saw Glynda standing in front of Ozpin's office. Turning to face them, Glynda stated flatly, "I'm sorry, but Ozpin is in an important meeting so come bac- Hey! Didn't you hear what I just said!?" Ignoring her, LAVM proceeded to enter the headmaster's office. By the sudden intrusion, Ironwood turned towards Ozpin and asked, "Ozpin, who are these four?"

Ozpin regarded them with a stare and said without taking his eyes off them, "They are four special students that are the key to defeating the Dark Dawn Group." Ironwood surprised by the answer, replied, "How are these young men in any way able to help us take down one, if not the most powerful criminal cells in the world?" Lucian deciding to answer stated, "Simply we are some of their greatest and most likely worst experiments." Ironwood was surprised to hear this. He thought what Ozpin was talking about was just a joke, but now the proof was right in front of him. Ozpin kept a straight face, but on the inside he was smiling at how James lost his air of leadership and began asking a series of questions. "James, my students aren't here to answer your questions, they are here to give what they found."

"Oh, we found some things. And it is mostly not good news" with that said, Lucian handed the book they obtained to Ozpin. Ironwood and Glynda both raised an eyebrow. They wondered what a book had to do with anything. "What is that book, it doesn't look that important" Ironwood stated. "Well General" Ashura began. "This book contains a complete encrypted history of the Dark Dawn Group. It even has a list of DDG supports, financiers, scientist, and a complete log of all their experiments." Ironwood was shocked. That one book contained everything they needed to gain the upper hand in the battle against the criminal cell. "But that isn't the most important information" Mephisto stated, catching the three educators' attention. "No" Mephisto continued. "The important part is the source of the DNA they used for us. We are in fact clones of the four warriors that saved Remnant all those centuries ago. And Dark Dawn itself is the remnant of the empire that threatened the kingdoms." It was Ozpin's turn to raise an eyebrow. "So, we are dealing with a game that has not yet finish and if what Longbow has reported is true, then we are dealing with the pieces." "We are" Vlade answered. "And not only that but Dark Dawn also has all four of the lost legendary weapons." "Three," Ironwood said, interrupting Vlade. "Excuse me?" Vlade ask. "A month back the Atlas military intercepted a shipment that belonged to the DDG. Inside of it was a single crate and a journal. The journal talked about the shipment being an artifact from the tomb of one of the Four Warriors. The one called, 'The Noble Reaper.'" This statement shocked them. But Vlade was the most surprised by the news. His body went rigid as the image of the unknown man in his dream's sword. But what truly surprised him was the word that left his mouth, "Thanatos." "Yes, that is the artifacts name. How did you know that?" Lucian sighed and began his explanation, "All four of us have been having dreams, and in them we see visions. Like seeing the lives of the Four Warriors and even speaking to them. But we only truly learned about them and their weapons after reading that book. We are starting to think that we aren't just clones but the warriors reborn." Ozpin gave them a critical eye. "So did they give you their names?" "Yes," Ashura said. "Their names are as followed; Lycaon the Wolf King and the Knight of the West, Asland the Courageous General and the Storm Beast Lord, Valvatorez the Vampire Prince and the Noble Reaper and finally Mephistopheles the Demon Trickster and Exorcist Sage. The weapons they possessed are also as followed. Caliburn, Raiden, Thanatos, and Prometheus" Ironwood gained a look of deep thought. He then looked up at the four hunters and said, "If what you said is true, then we should increase the security around the artifact. Dark Dawn might try and get it back." Mephisto nodded at this, "That is a very true assumption General. Dark Dawn is not one to give up easily."

With that, LAVM left, leaving Glynda, Ozpin and Ironwood alone. Turning his chair, Ozpin gazed out of his office window. "The game has been set and the pieces gathered" Ozpin began. His glasses flashed from the incoming sunlight and his eyes hardened. "Now the pieces are gathering and the end of this waltz is near."

~~Later~~

After a playing a board game that cause a small argument between friends and Blake to stomp off, team RWBY gathered themselves into their dorm room where Blake was given the third degree. "You're still thinking about Torchwick?" Ruby said asking Blake calmly. Blake's distress became more evident and her voice became more hysterical. "Torchwich, the White Fang and even Dark Dawn! Something big is happening and no one is doing anything about it!" she cried, frighten about what might happen. Yang spoke up hoping to calm her partner, "Ozpin told us not to worry about it. Between the Huntmen and the police, I'm sure they can handle it." Blake was not moved, "I'm not just worried about that! What about them? What about Lucian, Ashura, Vlade and Mephisto! You can see as well as I can that they are hiding something! Something that has them scared! Even around you Ruby Lucian is even more reserve! He has been ever since that Man, demon, I don't know, used that sword on him. Even if they told us their secret, they're scared, scared that something will happen to them, to Vale, to us!" Weiss decided to calm every ones nerve, "Look, I know you're worried about them, we all are, but we just can't go out there and try and stop one of the strongest terrorist groups out there! We're not ready for this!" At this Blake almost exploded, "And we may never be ready! Are enemy's aren't going to sit around and wait for graduation day! They're out there somewhere planning their next move and none of us know what it is, but it's coming! Whether were ready or not."

Ruby sighed, it was time to step up as leader and take charge, again. "Okay! All in favor of becoming the youngest huntresses to single-handedly bring down a corrupt organization conspiring against the kingdom of Vale… say 'I'" They all agreed. "Wait, I left my board game in the library!" Ruby stated realizing what she forgot. Holding a hand against her head, Weiss said flatly, "We're doomed." Without thinking, Ruby rushed out of her room and made a b-line for the library, not noticing who she was about to run into. "Oofth" Ruby cried as she collided with a solid body and fell on her butt. Looking up at the person she ran into, Ruby quickly apologized, "Sorry about that are you ok?" The person she ran into smiled and said, "I'm fine just watch where you're" "Hey Ruby, are you ok?" a familiar loud voice yelled. Turning Ruby turned and saw Lucian and the rest of LAVM had returned at last. Quickly coming to his girlfriend's aid, Lucian crouched down to help her up. "Damn Ruby, you really need me to make sure you don't trip over your own feet don't 'cha?" After helping Ruby get back to her feet, Lucian turned to apologize to the people she ran into. "Sorry about that, she not usually that clum-sy" Lucian ended his statement with a glare as he recognized two of the three people before him. Turning towards his girlfriend, the young grimmborn said lowly, "Ruby get back to your dorm, now." Not knowing why he said that, Ruby tried to argue, "But Lucian." "Now Ruby" Lucian said in a serious tone as he wouldn't take no for an answer.

Ruby seeing his underlying distress, Quickly left for her dorm. Lucian then turned back towards the three in front of him. The rest of LAVM was behind him, ready to give back up when needed. "So," Lucian said calmly, his body ready to take action. "What brings you to Beacon." The third person, one they have never met before was the one to answer. "We are simply here for the festival, nothing more." At this, Lucian gave a smirk, "Is that so huh? While that is your words, they can still lie." He closed his eyes, then opened them revealing that they were now glowing, "But your auras on the other hand can't. I can see them clearly. I can see the blood of the innocent stained upon them. So, here is a word of advice, give me even the smallest reason and I. Will. Kill you. Consequences be damned, I will end your lives." The woman laugh, "haha, that's a pretty harsh threat." Lucian steeled his face into a harsh glare, "It's not a threat, it's a promise." With that they entered team RWBY's dorm room.

~~Meanwhile~~

"Our agent is now safely behind enemy lines" Bourrea said with a sadistic smile. "And our plans will come to fruition, heheh ha." Torchwick shock head at the mad doctors rant. Straightening himself, Torchwick inserted himself into the one sided conversation. "So now that Cinder is at Beacon, what's the next step?" Bourrea gave the thief a devious smirk, "The next step is to remove some pest and recover our lost property." Turning towards the room's third occupant, Bourrea asked, "Are they finished Nemesis?" The demonic man gave an evil smile and spoke calmly, "Yes, they are."

~~Meanwhile~~

"So, it's all that has happened that has you all stressed out?" Weiss asked after convincing her and her teammates' significant others to explain what was on their minds. "Yes, with so much happening right now, and what might happen to you four because of it, we are at our breaking points" Vlade said solemnly. "Well then it's decided," Ruby said walking over to her boyfriend and wrapping her arms around him. "You guys are sleeping here tonight." At this LAVM gave a simultaneous freak out, "EEEEEEEEHHHH!" "W-w-what the fuck are you saying Ruby!?" Lucian asked, his mind traveling down a usually Ashura occupied gutter. "I mean is that you're worried about our safety, so maybe" Ruby began, pressing her index fingers together and blushing, "if you're near us then it might help." Sighing, Lucian knew that he would regret his answer, "Fine, but only for one night." Kissing him softly, Ruby replied sweetly, "That all you need."
