Chapter Ten

"Can anyone hear me?" I shouted into the mouthpiece. All I got was static from my end. Frustration and worry built up abd ocerdlowed as I growled looking for something to hit. Thankfully everyone else was inside the meeting room so they couldnt see my meltdown.

"GRAA!" I shouted as I hit the wall. I didnt cover my fist in chakra so the sharp blinding pain of having my skin torn and my bones thrumming hurt like hell. "FUCK!" I cradled my hand to my chest. I'll admit that was stupid on my part but impulsiveness and anger were to be expected when one threatened my boys.

I sat in the hall experiencing the pain in my hand long enough to calm down and think properly. When I figured I was calm enough I starting thinking.

Obito had a God on his side who made Kabuto seem like a mere insect. (I'm not sure if killing him was best, but whats done is done.) I couldnt go to Orochimaru since he was dead... Sort of. Knowing that snake he was bidding his time in one of his seals. Obito was powerful in his own right but he needed the Jinchuuriki. Gaara still had Shukaku so that was a plus. Yuuki would watch over him. But the other Jinchuuriki were in trouble. Not to mention whoever the death God brought to subdue my boys.

I had the means and the firepower but I didnt have any information. Intel was vital at this point and Kami-sama had only been working for a couple hours. There were a lot of gods to go through just to find one and most of the gods were neglected or forgotten so finding him/her was going to take time. Time we did not have.

Akatsuki could handle themselves. As much as I wanted to jump in and fight, acting rashly was plain stupid. Not to mention they were too far spread out.

Itachi's face passed in front of my eyes and a new bubble of worry opened. My denial couldn't work forever. I cared for Itachi and that wasnt something to be proud of at the moment. (My obvious long standing crush aside, worry was... Hell). So what could I do to help now? My knowledge was only good if we hadnt changed the timeline, but I didnt necessarily need my powers. Thank Kami for that. I was just an ordinary Shinobi now. One with average chakra and a good mindset for Fuinjutsu.

"Finally calm?"

"As calm as I'm going to be while my boys are out there." I muttered. Kana sighed.

"We'll get through this. I don't know how or when but I know we will."

"That's not really reassuring since I can't see it and confirm it." I muttered. I jumped up to pace the short hall. "Seeing the future helped before but even I knew it wasn't really a guarantee. And now with this..." Kana nodded.

"Your worrying and over thinking this."

"No I am not. Ninja tend to have either bad luck or no luck and my boys are already criminals. I doubt they're lucky charms."

"Shina." I stopped my ranting to look Kana in the eyes. The seriousness in them struck me making me hold my thoughts. "The Akatsuki are S-ranked criminals. They are also grown men. Whatever this so called God can summon, they will make it through. They have their partners and the Jinchuuriki they collected. They can handle themselves but the war council inside need our help. You may not have your powers but you're still Unmei. You know as mu ch as Yuuki and I do even if things have changed. Time and Destiny will fight to put things in order."

"...I hate you." I mumbled lowering my head and slumping my body.

"No doubt as much as I hate you. Now get your moody and psychotic ass in gear. We have work to do."

"As far as we know the plan Obito or Tobi have going is centered on the Jinchuuriki and the Gedo Statue." Yuuki started. The Kage were riveted on the explanation but of course not everyone believed what we were saying.

"And this statue is of the Ten-tails?" Oonoki snorted. "That is merely fiction."

"We live in a world where people walk up walls and on water while children wield S-rank jutsu. This is just part of that." I said. "The details are sketchy but we do know Obito will try to revive the Juubi and will bring back a lot of dead people." Though if we played this right Madara and Kaguya wouldn't have to come out.

"Do we have a confirmation of Obito's army?" Tsunade asked leaning forward.

"I have been sensing a gathering of Chakra in the east. Yuuki looked into this further and has confirmed a mass grouping of..." Kana paused looking for the right word. I broke in.

"Basically white plant clones that will probably have the ability to change forms to impersonate our people to turn us against each other while also trapping specific ninja in tree shapes."

"And with ninja, paranoia goes hand in hand." Yuuki nodded.

"How is this possible?" Mei asked as the Kage shared looks of disbelief.

"Honestly I have no clue." Kana sighed. "But it took many many years and a great deal of revenge to come this far. We can't afford to lose now because quite frankly what awaits us should we lose is... horrifying."

"We will need every available ninja in this along with the Jinchuuriki." Yuuki said. "ObIto is a force to be reckoned with and the only person who can possibly get the stick out of his ass is Naruto."

"You want us to send in a Jinchuuriki?" A asked.

"I thought we were protecting them." Mei protested.

"No." I answered. "Turtle Island will help them become closer and learn each others weakness and strengths but ultimately we will need their help. They are a force to be reckoned with and I doubt despite everything they've faced," I glared at the table since I really had no reason to glare at the Kage... well most of them, "I doubt they'd want to just stand by and watch their world disappear."

"If they did I would totally understand." Yuuki chirped.

"Not the time." Kana interrupted. I ignored everyone to turn my attention to the ninja at the door. I didn't know him since he wore a Rock hite'ate but he apparently knew I was a person of importance as he waved me over. I gave Kana and Yuuki a look before walking over to him.

"Shina Unmei?" I nodded leaning in buy being cautious. "We received a message from Amegakure." He handed me a sealed scrill. I nodded in thankks. I broke the seal before approaching the table of arguing politicians. My eyes quickly read through the contents before a sigh left me. My idiots had fled at the first chance and we're moving double time to Kumo. Nagato and Konan were meeting them at Turtle Island.

"Shina?" Kana called. I met her eyes before announcing.

"The Jinchuuriki are alive and heading to the island. Their pursuers have been temporarily put off. Akatsuki will reconvene on the island. I will be meeting them there after this meeting is over."

"Good." Gaara spoke for the first time. "Despite our squabbling I believe we have reached an agreement. Obito is a dangerous ninja with a dangerous army. We can either go home to our own villages and be picked off one-by-one, attacked all at once or we can stand together and wipe this threat out and hopefully achieve peace by working together. I will fight to protect my precious people and my village, will you join me?"

"You have our vote Gaara." Yuuki answered for us.

"Mmph, you've got balls." Mei smirked. "I will fight to rid the world of this threat. Who knows, maybe we can actually establish an alliance with Suna after this."

"Konoha will fight. Of this I have no doubt." Tsunade announced.

"Being showed up by a few women and Kazekage-sama... Kumo will fight."

"What say you old man? You gonna be left out of this little hippie group?" I asked. Oonoki glared at me with his beady eyes and jumped up.

"Iwa is not a coward. We will not allow you tree shaggers to show us up." I snorted before choking a laugh.

"An argument could be made towards Iwa and her rock shaggers." Tsunade sniffed.

"Let's just quit while we're a head." Yuuki stated weakly.

"Good luck." Kana nodded. I checked my mental inventory before nodding.

"I'll have everyone ready as soon as possible. Make sure you guys keep Obito occupied. Bee and Kakashi will have the Jinchuuriki here while Akatsuki and I find out who the God is." I whispered. "I'll send a message once we start moving."

"Keep the others out of trouble." Yuuki said. "I'll have Gaara meet them once they show up. Can't have any seperate Jinchuuriki." I nodded.

"Keep an eye out. Zetsu is the greatest enemy right now."

"Don't worry, we have your back. Now get going." Kana growled. I managed a small smile before running out of the base. I would make it to Turtle Island in two days. The war would officially start in four. Hopefully the guys would have already started training. This was so not what I had imagined when I'd been respawned.

'Kami, please help us.'

GM NASAI:... In my defense I no longer have my laptop as it has broken. So I'm writing on my phone. While I love my phone the screen is small-ish. That combined with my lack of muse gives you a very lazy and unmotivated author.
