A/N: Sorry for any delays, I never really have time during weekdays. I'll try and keep them coming.

Enjoy!

"I'm right here." The eleventh Doctor stated as if it was obvious.

"I mean the other you." Rose said. The Doctor looked up.

"Oh, well, perhaps sandshoes went for a walk." He said. Rose raised an eyebrow at him. "We need to stick together before one of us disappears as well." He looked back at Rose. "Oh, not again." He muttered. The last words of the Doctor echoed before leaving the forest in silence again, as if nobody was ever there.

There was a loud noise ringing in her ears. She was just about to tell it to shut the hell up when it stopped. It happened instantly, deafening silence taking its place. She opened her eyes slowly. They burned with each ray of light. Everything looked shadowy as her eyes slowly adjusted to the light. She panicked at first, thinking she was trapped in a small room. She hated feeling helpless. With each stretched second, she calmed down. She wasn't in a room, not exactly. It was more like a maze. Although, most mazes don't have spikes on the walls, so maybe not a maze so much as a death trap. As she stood up slowly, her muscles tightened. Her entire body ached, the worst was the ache in her head. Realizing that this was, for all intents and purposes, a maze, spikes and all, she wracked her brain for her knowledge on those. She honestly didn't know much about them, rather then stories or movies she had seen with them. That's what concerned her. Everything she had ever seen about mazes always had either a reward in the center or your untimely death. Great choices. She was too far away to call on her connection with the TARDIS to ask for help, so it looked like she was on her own. She assumed that the others had all gotten transported in here too. Rose knew her best bet was to climb the spikey wall of death to see the overlay of the maze. She carefully guided herself up one of the bottom spikes. It was more difficult to push herself up without slipping than it was to actually avoid the pointy end of the spikes. Thanks to her old fascination in gymnastics, she made it to the top fairly quickly. Walls with varying heights spread out as far as the eye can see. Perfect, could this day get any worse? Upon hearing an annoyed huff she knew all to well, she decided it could fairly quickly.

The Doctor felt the strangest tingling in his mind as he sat up. His eyes almost instantly adjusted to the blazing sun, shining off large, metal spikes on the wall. He had no idea where he was. The last thing he remembered was speaking to his future regeneration with Rose about people disappearing. He pushed himself to his full height, examining the strange walls. There were rows of them, all leading in different directions. He had no clue where anybody was so he started walking. He carefully followed all of the corners so he didn't hit any walls. A groan from around the corner startled him from his concentration. He whipped out the sonic screwdriver, wielding it like a weapon as he turned the corner. He was looking at the back of the eleventh Doctor. He coughed to alert him of his presence. The eleventh Doctor spun around ungracefully, wielding an even bigger sonic screwdriver like a weapon. The tenth Doctor gaped at his future sonic screwdriver.

"What'd you do to this one?" He questioned in a high pitched voice.

"Who told you I did it?" The eleventh Doctor replied back, still holding his sonic screwdriver up.

"Did you do it?" The tenth Doctor asked. The eleventh Doctor smiled sheepishly.

"Maybe," at the look of triumph from his younger self, he quickly stated, "but it was your fault."

"My fault?" The tenth Doctor demanded. "You probably dropped it in the bottom of an ice cream bucket.

"That was one time!" The eleventh Doctor retorted, throwing his hands up. He barely dodged the spikes. The tenth Doctor returned his attention to the spikes.

"Right, dangerous walls." He muttered. "Do you remember how we got out of here from when you were me?"

"How should I know?" The eleventh Doctor questioned. "It's still repressed." He stated dryly. The tenth Doctor scowled.

"I guess we have to play it by ear then?" He asked rhetorically.

"Sandshoes, first." The eleventh Doctor held out his arm for him in a grand gesture. The tenth Doctor rolled his eyes, following the narrow path between the spikes.

"Ow." Mickey grunted, sitting up slowly. "Why the hell did I agree to go with him?" He muttered to himself. "Should've stayed inside the TARDIS." Pushing himself all the way up, he was almost impaled on a spike. "Great, another day of almost dying." He looked around, seeing nothing but walls. "Rose!" He yelled. "Doctor!" He yelled again. What were those two strangers names? "A-Amelia?" That seems right. Now, what was the guys name? "Ron? No that's not right. Rick? No. Ror-Rory?" Eh, close enough. After receiving no answers, he tried a name he really hoped he didn't have to call. "Reinette?" He yelled. Still no answer. He scowled, glaring daggers at the spike that he had almost fallen into. He began walking forward, figuring it was probably better than just sitting around and waiting for help. He continued forward, almost running into several spikes trying to avoid the glare of the sun. He walked for several minutes. He was about to stop walking when he heard muttering. The voice sounded angry and feminine with a Scottish lilt. Mickey pushed forward, hoping to find somebody so they could figure a way out of there. Focusing too much on the spikes, he ran straight into the redhead he had found earlier. "Um, sorry." He said lamely.

"You're a friend of the Doctor's?" She asked, also remembering him from earlier. "Rickey, was it?" He shook his head.

"Mickey and I suppose you could say me and the Doctor are friends." He replied.

"Any idea where that thickskulled alien is at?" Amy questioned. Mickey shrugged.

"I haven't seen or heard anybody besides you." Amy nodded thoughtfully.

"Where were you headed?" She asked.

"I was just looking for a way out of this thing." Mickey answered.

"Okay, well you can follow me then." She said. Mickey raised an eyebrow.

"Do you even know where we're going?" He asked her. She shook her head.

"Not really, but the sun isn't as bad walking in this direction." She stated, walking past him. He turned to follow suit, hoping to find a way out soon.

Rory's eyes were forced open. It seemed the blonde, Rose?, was trying to wake him up. He lightly pushed her hands away.

"I'm fine." He mumbled. He stood up too quickly only to stumble over. Rose quickly righted him. "Who's that?" He asked Rose. Rose looked behind her to Reinette.

"That's Reinette." She said. "Reinette, this is Rory, the Doctor's friend." Reinette nodded once in acknowledgement and looked back to the spikes. Rory bit his lip at Rose's eye roll. "Don't mind her, she can be a bit of a drama queen."

"I can still hear you." Reinette said. Rose smirked.

"I know you can." Rose steadied Rory, taking a step back to make sure he could support himself. "You good?" Rory nodded.

"Yeah, where's Amy? And where's the Doctor?" He asked. Rose shrugged.

"I haven't found anybody besides her." She admitted. "I think we should keep moving." She suggested. Rory nodded his consent and the three continued forward.

"Are you sure this is the wisest decision?" A big set of green eyes and blonde hair asked his king.

"Is there much of a choice?" His king replied. "The blonde girl is tainted."

"With what?" The advisor of the king questioned again.

"Darkness." He answered vaguely.

"Darkness?" The advisor asked. His king nodded solemnly.

"And yet, she bathes in light." The king said.

"You do not believe they can make it here?" The advisor guessed.

"I do believe they can, I just don't believe they can pass all of the tests." He stated.

"What makes you so sure?" The advisor asked. "I wouldn't put it past them."

"Humans have tried before." The king said.

"But if one bathes in light, she is not human." The advisor contradicted.

"She is, but only just." The advisor paused, watching his king intently.

"What of the other test subject?" He asked. The king switched screens, a completely different image popping up.

"He's in the second stage. I assume the others will probably catch up to him."

"What makes you so sure?" The king shrugged.

"He attained a head injury on the transport here, it is sure to cloud his judgment." The king replied.

"Will this affect the others?" The advisor asked quietly. After a moment of hesitation, the king answered.

"We'll just have to wait and see." His eyes stayed trained on the screen of the curly haired man in a colorful coat muttering to himself.

"You're not helping us any!" The tenth Doctor complained. The eleventh Doctor looked back at him.

"I'm not helping us? You're just standing there!" He retorted.

"Well maybe if you moved out of the way," the tenth Doctor began.

"Here, all yours big guy." The eleventh Doctor moved to the side, granting his younger self access to the portion of the wall he was working on. The tenth Doctor walked past him, whipping out his sonic. He investigated the wall for another few minutes, purposely ignoring the eleventh Doctor's stare. He continued, determined to not give his older regeneration the satisfaction. Finally, the eleventh Doctor snapped. "Let's just keep moving, this clearly isn't working." The tenth Doctor turned to glare at him.

"We could be walking straight into a trap." The tenth Doctor stated.

"One that Rose, Rickey, Reinette, and the Ponds could be walking into two." The eleventh Doctor countered. The tenth Doctor scowled at his future self. His face turned from frowning to thoughtful, thinking of a way to ask his future self the one question he's been dying to know. "What are you thinking?" The eleventh Doctor asked warily, noting the change in expression.

"Rose," the tenth Doctor began. He swallowed thickly in an attempt to brace himself for the question. "How long?" He asked. The eleventh Doctor looked to his younger, vulnerable self, all traces of joking gone.

"What do you mean?" He asked.

"How long has she been," he could barely bring himself to say it, "gone?" The eleventh Doctor stared at him for a long time, letting silence fill between them.

"You know I can't tell you that." He said quietly. The tenth Doctor closed his eyes, slowly releasing a breath.

"I know." He replied just as quietly. The eleventh Doctor opened his mouth to speak when a scream pierced the near deafening silence. The two Doctors looked at each other before sprinting towards the scream. They dodged the spikes, quickly making there way to the origin. The maze was still empty, the scream still echoing through the entire maze. The eleventh Doctor moved to one side of the wall while the tenth Doctor investigated the opposite side.

"There was somebody here but we missed them." The eleventh Doctor said.

"Who's is this?" The tenth Doctor said to himself. The eleventh Doctor heard and turned to where his younger self was. He bent down over the small drops of blood falling from a spike.

"Who's do you think it is?" He asked him. The tenth Doctor shrugged. "It has to be Rose's, Rickey's, Reinette's, or the Ponds." The tenth Doctor stood suddenly.

"We have to keep going." He said. "We have to find a way to get to whoever put us in here." The eleventh Doctor stayed silent, choosing to nod instead.

A loud scream echoed all around them. Mickey, seeing Amy's distress, put a reassuring hand on her shoulder.

"We'll be fine." He stated. She nodded slowly.

"I'm just thinking of ways to get back at the Doctor for this one." She muttered. Mickey laughed softly.

"I think we're going to get along better than you think." She smiled at that.

"So how did you meet him?" She asked. Mickey shrugged.

"He ran off with my girlfriend for starters." Amy laughed.

"He seems to make a habit of that." She said fondly.

"He did it to you too?" Mickey asked. She smiled, nodding. "How many women does that man need?" Amy chuckled.

"A man has needs too." She defended him. They walked in companionable silence for a bit longer. "Where do you think this is going to lead?" Amy asked suddenly, eyes alight with excitement.

"Let's hope something friendly." Mickey suggested.

"Doubtful," Amy said, "but I like the optimism." They smiled to each other, continuing walking down the path they chose.

Reinette's scream was still echoing in their ears when they opened their eyes. Everything was shrouded in darkness.

"Where are we?" Rory asked. Rose shook her head.

"Im, ow, not sure." She said, wincing when she moved her arm.

"You okay?" Rory looked to her as best as he could.

"Yeah, I think one of the spikes scratched me. It's nothing bad though." She replied.

"Where are we going to go?" Reinette asked. Rose was taken aback by her small voice. She had been the same strong voiced woman through everything she has seen so far but now she sounded scared.

"I'm not sure." Rose said. "But sitting around isn't going to help any." She pushed herself up, pulling Rory and Reinette up too.

"Wouldn't it be wiser to stay in the same place?" Reinette suggested in a commanding tone. Rose smirked to herself, there was the uncrowned queen of bitches she talked to earlier.

"Nah, bad things tend to happen then." She paused, smiling to herself. "Actually, bad things just tend to happen but that's half the fun." Rory laughed slightly.

"Life with the Doctor." He muttered. Rose smiled to him.

"Exactly!" She exclaimed. Reinette ignored their conversation, choosing to walk ahead instead. "Reinette wait!" Rose pulled her back. "There could be anything in this place, we have to be careful."

"There is nothing in here." She stated with certainty.

"Actually there is." A man with curly hair and a colorful jacket said. Rose felt a sense of familiarity she always did around him. She looked to him, the question on her lips before she could stop it.

"Doctor?"

A/N: I love hearing what you guys have to say. I honestly didn't mean to put the sixth Doctor in here but this thing writes itself. :P Thanks for reading!
