Chapter 9
NOTE: The following chapter contains a strong mature themes that might upset a few readers. Reading discretion is strongly advised.
Care A Lot was destroyed. Now a hellish realm full of dark clouds black as smoke and the houses of the once cheerful Care Bears were now isolated and beginning to rot piece by piece.
No Heart was sitting comfortably on his throne room with a poor Tender Heart in chains, right in front of him.
"Please No Heart, reconsider. Let us all go. I beg of you." Said Tender Heart desperately.
"For the last time bear, I won't do it unless you bow before me!" cried No Heart.
"I will never do that! The most powerful of the good angels taught us to never bow before anything wicked and evil! Why, the Creator of the Good Angels will never forgive us for doing such an awful act!" cried Tender Heart.
"Who? Who is this Creator you speak of?" asked No Heart.
When Tender Heart gave some thought, he then told him the name of the Creator of the Universe, and No Heart stood up on his throne, in a mixture of fear and anger.
"So, you defy me Tender Heart." Said No Heart.
"I do defy you. And I'm happy to do so!" said Tender Heart.
"Pity. I expected much from a care bear who rather play the holy saint. You bears and cousins believe you were all chosen do to some good in this world. But how can that be bear? The world is so not worth it!" said No Heart.
"No Heart, it is not the world we are worried about. It's the children of the world. The future. The new generation. It is our job to watch over the hope and future of this world, as long as this system of things keep going." Said Tender Heart.
"Bah! Talking to you is meaningless and a waste of my precious time!" said No Heart.
"What happened to you to make you hate us all so much? What did we ever do to you?" asked Tender Heart.
NO Heart stood up from his throne and slowly walked in the room deep in thought.
"You don't recognize me at all do you bear?" asked No Heart.
Tender Heart did his best to see No Heart through the hood, but all he can see was emptiness and rage in his eyes.
"I don't really… what do you mean?" asked Tender Heart.
"Once Upon a time….. back during the early 1900s, I was born. I was welcomed warmly into this world. But, I grew up with a lot of violence and sin. I never learned what became of my parents. All I remember was growing up in the street, alone, scared, and ready to die.
Some have told me that they died, or they separated from each other, but no. I then learned the awful truth by the age of eight. My Mother was a prostitute. And my Father was one of her "clients." Accidentally, I was produced. After I was born, my mother gave me away to the local workhouse.
There, I slept. But not alone. Tender Heart Bear, where were you? Where were you?! I was a boy growing up in the cesspool of life back in the 1900s! The System at the time was brutal! You realize what I had to do to survive?! I practically had to run errands for businessmen, work to kill as well! Yes bear, I even killed people in my youth by poison! That was a job! Not only did I do that, but I was also forced in bed by different kinds of people! I was raped and beaten in the streets like an animal!
Where were the Care Bears? Where were the cousins?! I wasn't the only child who suffered. Others like me did to! Many of them cried during their sleep, and even committed suicide! Where were you fools!? Where were you?!"
No Heart finished his story and sat on his throne again. Tender Heart began to cry. This story was awful. The worst thing anyone can imagine.
"I'm so sorry…" said Tender Heart in tears.
"No! You don't get closure Tender Heart! You and the others did nothing!" cried No Heart.
"But there are so little of us here! We couldn't possibly protect every child in the world! Also, society back then was very different from today. We did our best in those times." Said Tender Heart.
"Society was different back then? Are you sure Tender Heart. Last time I checked, there are gunmen shooting away at local schools and nightclubs! Racism is still in everyone's hearts! There are wars going on and borders separating unity! We are getting worse and worse by the minute Tender Heart! Don't tell me how different society is! Soon, I will unleash my wrath on the world with my upcoming storm." Said No Heart.
"What?" asked Tender Heart.
"In a couple of days, I will unleash an ancient enchantment from my books that will summon a thousand meteors. They will all drop from the atmosphere and destroy the entire globe as we know it." Said No Heart.
"That's horrible! Your going to turn this world into hell!" cried Tender Heart.
"It already is." Replied No Heart.
"No! Please NO Heart! Listen to reason." Said Tender Heart.
"I didn't even finish my story. You wish to know how I became a wizard? I found an old book that belonged to an old believer of spells in the street. There, I learned the secret of being what I am today. A wizard with the ability to age slowly in the passing of time. Not only that, but I have a thousand enchantments already engraved in my head!" said No Heart. He then snapped his fingers and Tender Heart floated from the ground slowly.
"Please! Don't do this! You'll die for this! The representatives. They will arrive! Save yourself No Heart! Please!" cried Tender Heart.
No Heart angrily grabbed Tender Heart's face with both icy hands and then he quickly removed his hood. Tender Heart saw his face and he screamed.
"No! NO! NO! You can't… you can't do this! I'M SORRY! I WANTED TO HELP YOU! I TRIED! BUT YOU PUSHED ME AWAY! HOW COULD YOU….." screamed Tender Heart.
No Heart put back his hood and punched Tender Heart's stomach. He then threw him towards the wall and breaks his arm.
"Shrieky! Get down here!" cried No Heart.
A young woman came into the throne room with a purple overall and a red shirt. She had long green and black stockings and laughed coldly.
"Yes Uncle No Heart?" asked Shrieky.
"I want you to go to Earth and kill the surviving Care Bears and Cousins. Make sure they don't get here. And if you see any of their human representatives, kill them as well." Commanded No Heart.
