Author's Note: Okay reader's.. First, I would like to apologize for being gone for so long. After I moved, I tryed to get back into writing but the inspiration wasn't there so I decided to wait until it was.. Unfortunately that didn't happen but tonight I decided to put on pandora and just try to write until it came to me.. It worked! Now this certainly is not the best chapter but it is leading up to chapter 11 and 12. Please leave me honest reviews!

Shippo's P.O.V.
Why is everyone acting so strangely today? After setting up camp by the well for the night, while Kagome finished her spell, the rest of us sat around the fire and stared at each other. Inuyasha was glancing back and forth from Isamu to Kouga, Kouga was glaring at Inuyasha with a smirk, Isamu was watching Kagome's back. Miroku, Sango and I were observing as this all unfolded and Kirara was sleeping. She misses everything…
"So.. Uh.. Did I miss anything else while I was away?" I asked, trying to break the awkward silence.
"Nope.. Apparently everyone was living it up in Miko-mura.. So don't be too upset about it Shippo, we weren't invited either.." Inuyasha growled.
"Too bad you didn't visit while I was there pup.. I suppose you wouldn't have felt comfortable anyways, being a third wheel and all." Kouga boasted.
"What is that supposed to mean wolf-boy?!" Inuyasha yelled, standing up with the rest of the group.
"Inuyasha, I'm sure Kouga is just trying to get under your skin is all.. Nothing really happened between Lady Kagome and him." Miroku interjected. "Right Kouga?"
"I was constantly by Kagome's side so I can confirm that nothing happened between the two of them." Isamu smiled cheerfully.
"Did you have to put it that way?" Miroku mumbled as Inuyasha's anger rose.
"Well it's been fun guys but I have to get back to my wolves. Tell Kagome that I'll be seeing her very soon." Kouga said with a wink and he left just as fast as he had arrived.
"Keh! That's what he thinks.." Inuyasha whispered.
(evil time skip) - Kagome's P.O.V.
Well that took longer than I thought it would.. When I finally finished with the activation spell, it was already starting to get light out. Might as well stay up and start breakfast.. After a long and satisfying stretch, I gathered as much fruit as I could find and started cleaning it with the bottled water in my bag. I love how quiet it is early in the morning here.. You can't get this kind of peace in the modern era that's for sure.. Suddenly, there was rustling in the bushes behind me.
"Who's there?" I called out facing the woods wearily.
"That was me.." Inuyasha said, walking out of the shadows. "Didn't mean to scare you.."
"Oh Inuyasha, I'm just getting breakfast together.. Want to help?"
"Fine.." He said quietly as we sat down, each of us with half the fruit.
"Is something wrong?" I asked after an awkward silence.
"Keh, why do you ask that?"
"Well you're acting weird I guess."
"I'm not the one acting weird Kagome.." He looked dead at me with serious eyes.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"You.. Well what I mean is.." He started nervously. "Kagome, do you remember when we were trying to get out of the jewel?"
"Y-yea.. Of course I do.." I stood and Inuyasha followed suit.
"Why is everything so different now? We.. we kissed and I don't know, I guess I thought.." He turned his face away from mine.
"That we would be together.." I stated and his eyes met mine again. "I wanted that too Inuyasha.."
"Then why aren't we?!" He yelled in a hushed tone.
"After…" I found it hard to talk about. "After I.. Well after I died.." he flinched. "I wanted that more than anything. It's just that now with this whole thing about my father, I need to know truth before I consider settling down."
"What's the deal with you and Isamu anyways?"
"Isamu is my friend.."
"That's all?"
"I.. I honestly don't know Inuyasha.. I'm just confused I think." I pleaded.
"How can you be confused about your feelings for ME?"
"I'm not confused about my feelings for you.. I'm confused about my feelings for Isamu." I started tearing up. "I love you Inuyasha and that will never change, but.."
"I love you too.. We will figure out this thing about your dad. Then we will be together, I know it." He said as he kissed my forehead and walked back towards the woods.
{evil time skip - A few hours later} - Still Kagome's POV
While we finished getting ready to go through the well, my mind was racing. As usual, when my mind raced, my favorite person had to make an appearance.
"Why are you bothering with Inuyasha? You don't love him.. Not the way I do."
"Kikyo stop intruding on my personal thoughts.. I love Inuyasha and you can't change that, no matter how much you DID love him.."
As I came back to reality, I realized that Shippo had been talking to me while I was otherwise preoccupied.
"Kagome are you okay? You had a funny look on your face and it was like you couldn't hear me.." The young fox demon asked.
"Oh sorry I was just thinking maybe Inuyasha and I should go through the well on our own first to make sure it works.."
"That's a splendid idea Kagome!" Miroku said excitedly, patting my shoulder.
"Fine but let's get going, we need to go get more ninja food as soon as we get there." Inuyasha said kneeling down for me to get on his back.
I got on his back and we jumped down the well like we had so many times before. This time there was one small difference. The light that engulfed us was no longer pink, but an array of vibrant colors.
Author's Note: Hope you liked it! I know it was short :/ Ohhhh and when I was writing the part between Kagome and Inuyasha, I was just starting it and I was confused about how I wanted it to turn out and then A Drop In The Ocean by Ron Pope came on Pandora and I just took off writing :) Leave me reviews please!
