Annabeth POV

Having Percy back was so amazing. I have never seen camp so a buzz with happiness even though we were probably facing the one war that we may not win. He just has this way of cheering up the people around him and making the mood just a little bit lighter. He has changed though but not in a bad way he has just become more powerful than any in existence and he somehow is even hotter to me now. He still is the gentle soul I fell in love with all those years ago although he now crush anything in his path. He seems to have resolved the god's split personality issue from what he told me of his trip to the romans to bring them to Camp Half Blood which is actually a stroke of genius from him but nowadays that doesn't shock me as much as it would've once because he is basically stronger than all the gods even in their own domains.

He was right of course that we needed the Romans to stand a chance of winning this war and it would need to be a more unified front than the war with Gaea which we barely won had it not been for Percy, Poseidon, Nico, Hades, Jason and Zeus defeating Porhyrion and Polybotes just in time so the three boys and their fathers could fight Gaea and destroy her. She swept aside Hades and Nico with ease and it looked bleak for the others only for Percy where ran and tackled Gaea to the ground which gave the others the chance to destroy her but left Percy on the edge of death. Thanatos even showed up ready to escort Percy to the underworld even as Poseidon swore he would destroy Thanatos if he touched his son. Hades got back to his feet with Nico and told Poseidon it was inevitable, Percy would be dead in seconds. It was then that the fates showed up and said that Percy's time was not done and he would achieve more great things in life. He eventually came to three weeks later. I had never left his side in that time and my heart soared as I saw him wake up.

So now he has forced the two camps to get along better which was working so far. But now we faced a challenge much greater than Gaea and my soul will shatter if I lose Percy. And knowing him like I do he will not allow anyone, even the Gods, to try and take on Tartarus and Erebus which makes me worry for him even though he is so powerful. I force myself to get out of bed and get these thought out of my head and decide to take my mind of things. I head out of my cabin after getting dressed and head for breakfast with my cabin. Percy has an announcement that he plans on making after breakfast to the entire camp and also ever major and minor camp so the place is a light with excitement as it was clearly a huge message he was going to deliver. Many rumours had sprouted up over the last few days about what he would say; some completely ridiculous and some that are and maybe slightly true.

I finish my breakfast and chat along with my siblings at our table and the topic of conversation is surprisingly what Percy's announcement would be. "I dunno guys I've already told you he hasn't told me so I'm in the dark as much as you" I repeatedly told them. It was at this point I was saved from more questions by Percy calling attention to the camp. He stood at the stage where the head table was and called us all to order before looking up at the sky and calling "Gods both major and minor I request your presence immediately and any who refuse I will personally punish myself!" he said. Within seconds the entire pavilion was filled with flashes of white light as every Olympian and Roman god I knew came as he had requested. Poseidon was the first to stand forward and he embraced Percy in a warm hug. "Son you have called us here as I believe you have an announcement we all need to hear?" he asked.

"Yes Father I have news and I thank you all for coming. I am sorry I put the threat in with my request but you all need to be here and it will not take long." The Gods all made seats for themselves and they sat with their respective children before Percy called everyone to attention again. Everyone was glued to Percy as we all were dying to know what announcement he would be making.

"OK I'm sure you all want to know why I have called you all here. Well you know I have something to tell you and as most of you have guessed yes it does concern the upcoming war. Now you all know that this is the single greatest threat that Olympus had or will ever face. If we fail the world will burn and we will all suffer fates much worse than death I assure you. But that will not happen because I will not allow it. I will destroy anyone who dares threaten Olympus" Percy said this with such authority and might that we all believed him. "Now you know the might and strength of their army that those two primordials will raise and currently we are outmatched even with every god and demigod we have on our side. Now I know many of you have never seen Olympus mount an army as big as this but it is still not enough which is why I have reinforcements coming to aid us in this battle. They are the personal assassins of Chaos himself and also some soldiers from Chaos' army that I command. Now I must warn you all, Gods included, the soldiers are extremely powerful and skilled in battle and will not suffer any disrespect or word against them. The assassins however are on another level. They have been personally trained by Chaos and myself and are on an equal par with the Primoridals in terms of power and battle skill. If any of you insult them or anger them in any way they will finish you in an instant. They do not talk often and when they do its only to those they trust and respect so be fair warned do not anger them. These reinforcements will come and help us win this war. They should be arriving at some point once this meeting is over so under no circumstances does anyone move when they come." he finished.

Many of us looked dumbstruck at what Percy had said. We were receiving reinforcements as strong as the primordials themselves. Hope started to filter through the forces of Olympus but I wondered how many would be coming. I hesitantly put my hand up to ask a question Percy noticed and smiled the smile I love so much "Yes Annabeth?" he asked. "Percy how many reinforcements will arrive?" I asked him. He smiled again and replied "My Wise Girl always thinking ahead, a true daughter of wisdom" he said looking towards Athena who inclined her head in acknowledgement. "Well Annabeth I'm glad you asked. There will be three hundred soldiers coming and twenty assassins" he stated. Many people started whispering at why only so few assassins would be coming. One kid of course had to be brave and try be snotty to Percy as why so few would come. And of course it was Octavian. "Why are only twenty assassins coming? If there so strong why not just send a whole bunch and we could win this war easy. I just bet most of them are cowards and are frightened." Octavian finished looking smug. I could visually see Percy shaking with anger. He had his hands curled into fists on the head table while looking down. "I told you I had enough of you pathetic worm" he said in a voice quiet but laced with anger and venom. He raised one hand without even looking up and controlled the air around Octavian's throat and brought him towards the head tale. Maybe campers were looking fearful and some Gods did also. Some of Octavian's cronies grabbed their weapons but did not want to take on Percy. As Percy stopped Octavian directly in front of the head table he looked up and his eyes were as black as the darkest night. "You….you have no idea of who you are insulting. They are on their way here and they know of your arrogance and disrespect and they have been listening this whole time. The assassin leader Delta will personally see to you once they come" Percy said with hatred dripping with every word.

Just as Percy finished there could be a distinctive ripping sound heard just across the pavilion as a portal was opened and all the soldiers of Chaos' army filed out. Lastly the assassins filed out and walked to the head of the soldiers. The very sight of them chilled my bones. They wore complete black even over the faces where no features could be seen. Even as they walked they made absolutely no sound even though they carried many weapons each. That was perhaps the most frightening thing about them the way the seemed to glide across the ground without making a single sound. Percy walked over to his soldiers and assassins while Octavian was still suspended in the air. Percy had put his mask back on which confused me and I made a mental note to ask him why later. As soon as he go to the reinforcements they immediately dropped to one knee, even the assassins, and spoke in perfect unison "Commander Percy, we report for duty. What are your orders sir?"

"Rise my companions and soldiers. At the moment you may come over to the meeting I will create a cabin for you all soon. I want you to meet the vanguard of Olympus and also one pathetic demigod who has insulted the assassins" Immediately the assassin's heads rose and started to scan the entire area. As soon as their eyes landed on Octavian they stood as Percy beckoned them forward. I, along with many others, where still in shock at how they moved. It was as if they exude an aura that if they wanted to kill you, you would never see them coming. They could be everywhere and nowhere at the same time. They each had two samurai swords on their backs with smaller knives strapped to their hips, legs and arms. Percy had said their powers rivalled the primordials so they obviously where able to influence the environment around them.

One of the assassins stepped out of the crowd and started to circle Octavian ominously. The other assassins stood to the side and watched as their leader inspected the roman. "Delta this is the scum that insulted you and your assassins. He has continuously tried to ruin everything that everyone has worked to build here. I have had enough of him and you are free to dispatch of him. My authority is unchallengeable." It was clear that Percy had had enough of Octavian and so had many of the campers. He was the only reason to stop the Greeks and Romans finally becoming good allies. The assassin leader Delta continued to circle Octavian but started to draw a samurai sword out slowly. Octavian's cronies jumped up and grabbed their weapons but before anyone could blink or even register the remaining assassins had each of his cronies and pinned with a sword against their throats. No one, not even the Gods, could register their movements. They were impossibly fast.

We turned our heads back to Delta who stood in front of Octavian who was visibly shaking with fear and crying but being the twerp he is he spat at Delta in a last act of defiance. The assassin easily dodged it and looked to Percy for conformation. Percy merely inclined his head and as swift and fluid as the other assassins moved Delta had struck Octavian out of the air with a sickening finishing blow. Many of the Gods and campers looked away at the horrifying sight. Percy waved his hand and the lifeless body of that roman dissolved and disappeared. Delta re-joined his fellow assassins who had let go of the cronies and returned to stand beyond Percy staring out at the crowd daring any to challenge them and also looking as they would jump in front of Percy and destroy any who would try harming him. Well that is good I thought, at least he has a group of bodyguards like them.

Percy looked out and regarded the shocked faces of many of the crowd. "I am sorry for what has transpired here and especially to you Apollo as he was your son. But I will not allow anyone, be they God or demigod, to insult my brethren and I have given him enough chances to change. He is the reason the Greeks and Romans had a shaky alliance against Gaea. He would've fallen in battle and I saved him from a fate much worse than he has received." Apollo merely nodded at Percy clearly shocked but also not daring to challenge his ruling. "Now that everyone is here, my soldiers will train the demigods until they are sufficiently capable of combat or until the ware starts. The soldiers and I will train you Gods. Now you must put aside your ego, because you rely heavily on your powers and not on your skills in battle which have become poor over the centuries. You must be at your peak in battle and combat skills as well as your powers therefore you will be trained by the assassins and me. Training will begin in two days so you must go and prepare yourselves. A note to finish on though, especially for the demigods, this training will be like nothing you have ever experienced. You will be pushed beyond your limits in combat, strategy and also physical training. Training will last for approximately 5 hours a day in intervals of one hour periods. Therefore you must eat healthy and plentiful to keep going. Now go back to you daily activities and remember you need to push yourselves harder than ever, if you do we will win."

Percy finished his speech and everyone dispersed from the pavilion. Many gods flashed out bar a few who stayed to talk with some children. I walked up to Percy and hugged him. "You've become very serious in the last few years" I joked. He simply smiled and laughed before kissing me. I saw Poseidon come over so I kissed Percy and headed back toward my cabin pondering the day's events. With these reinforcements and the training they were going to provide maybe we could win this war. Those assassins would protect Percy but I also would even if it meant laying down my life I will leave no one hurt my Percy, my love.
