*EDITED* Please let me know about mistakes. I am trying to make the story better :)
The tv was background music as I sat on the sofa waiting for Jacob to come over, he must be really busy.. Alpha business I suppose. "Whatcha doing Bells?" Dad asked coming down the steps. "Waiting on Jake." I replied, smiling. "Ask Charlie" Jacob's words echoed in my head. Charlie was heading into the kitchen. "Dad!" To late he was already in the kitchen. I got up and followed him. "Dad.. Can I talk to you?" He rose his eyebrows at me... "You're not pregnant are you?" My eyes almost popped out of my head. "WHAT! NO!" I yelled back in shock! He let out a breath of relief. "Thank God." My face was bright red now. I shook my head clearing my head from what just happen. "Actually Dad Jake and I got into a fight about telling Sophie that he is her Father... and well it ended with me telling him he did nothing for Sophie.." I said looking at his face which looked a little guilty. "Bells..." He begin, but I cut him off.
"He told me to ask you. So tell me Dad what is he talking about?" He pulled out a chair and sat down and wave a hand motioning me to grab a seat. I pulled the chair out making a annoying sound as I dragged it out, Dad winced. I giggled. "Sooo..." I dragged out.. "Bella.. Jacob has been paying child support, but he asked to do it privately because of some situation he couldn't tell me about. That how I always have extra money for what Sophie needs." I was shocked.. He had been helping me out all along? "Why didn't you tell me? And Dad I know you know about the situation." I put my fingers in the air and make air quotions when I said situation, knowing he was refering to Jacob being a wolf. Charlie looked at the ground and sighed. "He asked me not to Bells. He was really tore up about not being able to be in yours and Soph's life. Even Billy said it was for the best." Wow. So this whole time the wolf thing has kept Jacob away from me and his child? He could of tried harder, he could at least of visited her.. I want to be angry with him, but I can't. Now that he is back in my life I don't want to loose him again. "Thanks for telling my Dad, I understand why you kept it a secret." I push myself back from the table and head into the living room to continue waiting on Jacob.. "Bells!" Dad called before I left the kitchen. "I love you kiddo, a lot. You and Sophie both. I only wants what is best for both of you. So me going a little crazy redneck father on your boyfriend was needed at the time.." He said.. and I laughed at him. "It's okay Dad. I love you too"
I went back into the living room and plopped down on the sofa.. Jacob and I were going to have a long talk when he got here! - It was a little after eleven and Jacob still hasn't showed up, or replied to any of my texts or phone calls. I decided to go out and call for Embry who was on patrol tonight... I open the front door and look around at the dark woods around my house. I knew Embry are out there, but I can't see him. It makes me nervous what else could be watching me that I couldn't see? Before I could call out to Embry, he came jogging out of the woods. "What's up?" He asked walking up onto the porch where I was standing. "Where is Jacob?" He chucked, "I should've known that is what you wanted." I glared at him, "Just tell me!" He smiled, "We got another wolf, and he was kind of shocked on what was going on and flipped out." More wolves? "And it wasn't I'm scared freaking out it was, OH BOY! I am a wolf let me go be crazy and roll in mud and dirt and chase rabbits kind of flipping out." Embry laughed. He could see it all in his mind what was going on. "Jake deicided to let him have his fun before he had to get down to business." I pulled my cell phone out of my pocket and saw a text from Jacob.
Jacob: I know you got Embry to come out, sorry if I worried you. New wolf. I'll be there in 20.
"Jacob?" Embry asked. I smiled, "Yea. He is on his way." Embry nodded his head.. And let out a loud yawn.. "Tired?" I asked.. He chuckled, "Extremely.. I haven't got much sleep." He confessed." They have been working hard trying to keep me and Sophie safe.. I felt guily.. I felt really guilty for them losing sleep, but.. not to sound selfish.. I was happy they were out here while I was sleeping. I was happy they were following us around.. Even when I didn't see them I knew they were there. Edward was a vampire. I was just a human, but a pack of wolves had my back.. They had Sophie's back and that is what mattered most to me. I tried to tell Jacob that I felt bad about everything, but he said not too. The pack wanted to help, they wanted to keep us safe. I smiled. I don't know what came over me, but I grabbed Embry in a hug. "Thank you." I said. He wrapped his arms around me and hugged back, but quickly let go. "Jacob will literally murder me if I held you for more than a quick hug." He replied laughing, even though he was probably serious. "I am just so thankful for all of you.. If it wasn't for you guys I don't know where Sophie would be.." Embry then surprised me by giving me another quick hug. "No need for the thanks Bella.. It's apprecaited, but all of us love Sophie.. Not as much as you, but almost." He replied with a smile. Sophie was excited to meet everyone else. She has heard all about them. She loved attention. Sophie was just a big ball of love and she wanted to share it all. I stayed outside for awhile talking to Embry waiting on Jacob to show up. He said twenty minutes, but it's going on thirty... It was pretty chilly tonight.. Another cold chill shot through me.. And Embry forced me to go inside. I had been fighting to stay out... But I needed to check on Sophie anyway.. So I left and told Embry I would see him later.. I went inside and made a cup of coffee so I wouldn't fall asleep until Jacob got here.. I missed him..
